I still have a hard time imagining Todd and Julie Chrisley in prison, even if it’s “white collar” prison, simply because of their personalities. Apparently the judge didn’t appreciate their personal style of narcissism and total lack of claiming any responsibility for their crimes. I watched their show years ago, and really fell in love with Todd’s mother, she used to be very poor and worked hard in a textile factory for many years. Now she is battling bladder cancer and watching her son go to prison. I feel for her.
I worked in corrections in college (almost a year internship with the SC Dept of Corrections) and no prison is a cake walk. You literally lose all of your personal freedoms and most cupcake programs in the federal prison system have long been discontinued.
The libraries and dismal at best.
I remember the judge in the Guidice trial also absolutely wasn’t having it until Teresa took some responsibility for her part. She kept coming back like “Is that really how you want to play this? yeah….. NO. Come back when you’re ready to be at least somewhat humble and honest about your role in all of this”.
