Apologies for missing recaps recently. I’m struggling with bad stomach aches and throwing up stomach bile that burns my throat. In fact, I just threw up again about four words into this post.
I am only posting this so that y’all don’t worry. And I DO NOT NEED A WELLNESS CHECK!
I prefer y’all discuss RHOP and whatever else I missed in these comments rather than well wishes. I know you all care. I just wanted you to know I am sick and slept through primetime the past couple of days. I have to sleep when I can. Going back to bed now. It feels like night time to me. I keep my blackout curtain drawn all the time lately. Thanks for your patience.

On Potomac I think Robin and Gizelle are both hypocrites about what happened with Mia and Wendy. They fought hard for Monique to be held accountable for her actions towards Candiace, but yet condone Mia’s actions. I know the two situations are different but Robin even said she had Mia’s side because she hates Wendy. Maybe Wendy shouldn’t have brought up her husband, but it didn’t deserve that behavior. Something must be true in what Wendy said for Mia to go off like she did. Robin and Gizelle should be ashamed.

I agree. How many times can Robyn use the marriage storyline, that looks like it is never going to happen. Or Gizelle building her wing onto her house. Those two, especially Robyn are getting nasty.
I haven’t watched a whole episode for two seasons. All the HW shows have morphed into a big pile of nastiness
Robyn seems meaner than Giselle. Giselle is just messy and an overstepper of boundaries.

Tamara, I’m so sorry that you are still unwell and hope that you haven’t given up on the doctors. There’s a doctor somewhere who knows EXACTLY what is ailing you and my prayer is that you find him or her soon.
As for RHOP, it’s a train wreck and I’m almost embarrassed to say I’m enjoying every bit of it. People say that housewives like Kandi are boring and need to go when I actually think she’s refreshing and non-problematic. Then the same people say that Robyn and Gizelle are messy and need to go and that Mia, who did indeed throw a drink on Wendy needs to go. So which is it? Yeah, in a perfect world we’d have a happy medium, but Lord knows this world is NOT perfect. So……let’s just sit back and watch the sh!t show play out. YES, MIA WAS WRONG FOR THROWING THE DRINK ON WENDY. PERIOD. DOT. However, Wendy’s behavior has been less than stellar since she’s been on the show and she’s not an angel, even though she was NOT the instigator in this situation. The thing that bothers me as a Black girl, that when we behave badly, it perpetuates stereotypes when that is not always the case with the non-melenated housewives. It’s not equitable, but the world isn’t equitable and we just have to deal with it. Along those same lines I’m SICK, SICK, SICK, of the word “colorist” being thrown around. If lighter skinned Black women don’t like darker skinned Black women, that word shouldn’t be the first things out of our mouths. It COULD be that the darker hued ladies are just not likeable or that the lighter skinned ladies are clique-ish, or any combination of the two. While colorism is a real thing and does exist, I think it is reckless and dangerous to arbitrarily and capriciously throw that word around sufficient evidence.
Wendy is awful she could probably antagonize me to throw a drink on her. I felt for Mia, until this last episode and now Mia is taking it way too far and I am feeling for Wendy. And Candiace!! 🤯🤯
Yeah, Mia is behaving SO badly that I’m starting to feel a twinge of sympathy for Wendy and THAT is indeed saying something.
I completely agree on your take. I do think Robyn can go though. She adds nothing to the cast and she’s really showing her backside this season. It’s one thing being shady and messy but I do think there’s a meanness to Robyn coupled with her not being too bright. I can’t put my finger on the difference b/t her and Gizelle. Maybe there’s a goofy-ness to Gizelle with those terrible clothes and wigs that sit like hats on her head. She’s still awful and dangerous but she’s also ridiculous.
What Mia did was low brow and tacky. I was rooting for Mia and wanted to believe she’s a “boss” although I know better, lol. I don’t like Wendy. She is haughty and condescending but I’m not sure if what she said in that moment warranted a drink being thrown in her face.
I too am so sick of the word colorist being slung around. Bad behavior should be called out period. In my experience as a black woman, colorism works both ways. And yes, both could be true, Wendy & Candiace may not be likeable, and the light-skinned women could be click-ish. But if you think back to the first season, “everyone” gave Ashely a hard time and Katie was accused of not being black enough by Robyn and Gizelle. I really think they are equal opportunity bitches. Anyone who comes on the show and displays a modicum of interesting behavior, they are raked through the coals by the green-eyed bandits.
Love RHOP, always entertaining. Sorry not sorry, i love the green eyed bandits! On another note…just wondering because it’s the time of season where multiple websites show “celebrities THEN and NOW”. I would like to see the photos of the writers/editors of these articles to see what their THEN and NOW photos look like! Plastic surgery or not, people are going to look different 20, 30, 40 years from the base photo. i don’t like the mean spirited intentions of these sites that post the THEN and NOW photos. we are all more than our appearance, then OR now.

I will probably be joining you in WLS bur 4 years ago I was diagnosed with relapsing multiple sclerosis (RMS) and so many of her symptoms are identical to mine. Including acid reflux and vomiting. Numbness, tingling, exhaustion. are huge red flags. There are so many options out there to help. It can be managed
I have to wonder if Robyn posted the video she got that night. Why else would we have seen at the end of last week’s episode, something like…Johns Hopkins University has no involvement with The Real Housewives of Potomac.
Do we know if Bravo contacted Johns Hopkins, or did Johns Hopkins contact Bravo because they are so embarrassed by Wendy.
Wendy has said more than once that she is only black female professor at Johns Hopkins. Not sure why she feels the need to imply that, but that ain’t true. Hey Wendy, thanks to something called, the internet, I looked at the school website and I’m seeing other black-female professors. Also, hasn’t she said she has multiple Ph.Ds. That was my favorite part of the episode!!! How hilariously embarrassing to Wendy for John’s Hopkins to state they had no affiliation with her. Mrs “I’m a doctor” “I got 102 degrees” just got checked. Maybe now she’ll realize how horrible her behavior is.

I don’t know which side I am on anymore but I can’t stand Robyn and Giselle and think Mia was just waiting for a chance to act up. I am not a fan of Wendy by any means. I think I really only like Karen. The other two seem to be getting along and maybe they will become somewhat voices of reason. I was in the dentist chair for over two hours today and I was gagging left and right. So happy to have that over for another two weeks.
I’m watching the Below Decks tonight. Just finished watching the old original Below Decks on Peacock with Kate and Captain Lee. Those two were great. I miss Kate and her snarky comments. She was the best. I do like Below Deck Adventure cuz Captain Kerry is good also. He’s a tough one. Did I miss a reunion with Below Deck Med? Wait… Nevermind, I just found it on Peacock. Ok, good. And I heard White Lotus is really good so I wanna watch that one also. Don’t miss the RHOBH tho. Glad that season is over. SO that’s about it down here… TT, God Speed!!!!

Mia throwing the drink was wrong but, it was nothing compared to Monique’s grab of Candiace’s hair/weave in terms of actual violence. Mia seems to be going above and beyond to secure her spot, not working for me. Karen and her birfhday (did I hear that correctly?) week thing is silly for a 59 year old woman. I love free Ashlee and I have a soft spot for the GEB’s, they are real friends as far as I can tell. TT, wishing you feel better and appreciate all you give us all here!

It seems as if the time has come to move on from the Housewives. There is just so much anger and fighting and snarkiness…..I just want it to STOP! Looking forward to finding some uplifting programs to watch. I don’t have any of the “plus” channels, just something fun to watch without all the mean-ness, we have enough of that in the news. Any suggestions would be welcome, I just need to see some more positive things right now.

Preach it Nana! Nothing on the planet is better for nausea than weed. I’ve known women who suffered dreadfully from chemotherapy, but they would not consider touching marijuana because it was illegal. I’m stunned and thrilled it is currently legal in some states.
