It’s after two a.m. here and I am starting The Amazing Race Recap. Wednesdays are hard! Thankfully, (I guess) I can’t sleep at night due to my neuropathy. A term I only recently learned. So, I am up all night anyway. I’m also excited about tonight’s recap. We are going to ITALY! WE ARE GOING TO ITALY! God I wish I could travel. Let’s do this.
Head Of The Class Or Big Cheese?
I’m still said we lost team TRex last week. But, I am excited to go to Bologna. Oh Lordy! They start with driving the stick shift cars. I used to have a stick and LOVED it. The pickup on that Mazda protege was amazing. It’s also why I am so afraid to merge onto busy highways in my automatic Honda. 🙁 I miss my blueberry! ;( Anway, it looks like it was a very short trip to the detour. Wow the choices are head of the class or big cheese. I love academia and cheese. My partner Marc would have to choose for us. Oh it is anatomy. I hope he chose that! The other option is carting around an 88 pound round of cheese. NOPE!
I hope Team Big Brother can make a big move this week. Sadly, they chose big cheese. How the hell do these people not know to learn to drive a stick for this show? It’s part of every season! It’s not that hard if I can do it! Marcus and Michael, the military guys are doing well and off to a great start with their big cheese. Not sure why they are trying to push their cart instead of pull it. But, whatever, it seems to be working for them.
Most people are taking head of the class. It’s the mental comp over the physical one. I hope the know their anatomy. Do any of them work in the medical field. They immediately begin to regret it. The lecturer has a heavy accent and there is a lot to learn if you have to anatomy background. The couple with the super tall female and the short guy who reminds me of Kevin Hart have already gotten lost and have to go back and get their car. Ut oh. They better pray for a miracle. Meanwhile, the military guys are killing it! They are off to the next clue! Team Big Brother choose the cheese route. This was actually the best decision as it turns out.
Back at anatomy class, the teams are struggling. They only have 90 seconds to get all the body parts right and there are more options than answers. Each time they fail they have to do the eight minute lecture again. They all struggle with the time constraints. They need to change to cheese! Dom on team motivational speakers can’t drive a stick. Like at all. And she cannot read a map. The twins have a medical background so they completed the anatomy challenge the first time. Abby and Will also got their clue. Team Tall and Short is really struggling with the anatomy challenge.
The Ducati Factory
The military guys are off to the next leg, the Ducati Factory. Apparently, a Ducati is a very expensive Italian motorcycle. The teams have to assemble a bike to the specifications of the supervisor. I’d such at this. Only one person does the challenge. This one is on you, Marc! Sorry. The military guys love this challenge and Marcus even owns a Ducati. But, Michael is the one doing the challenge because Marcus wasn’t comfortable with the assembly part. I’m worried about my twins on this one. Oddly, Claire feels confident assembling the bike. Almost everyone is struggling with the bike. Claire doesn’t know how to work the wrench thingy.
I totally underestimated the twins. Whichever one did it banged it right out. They left in second place! Claire still can’t figure out the wrench. Come on Claire! She finally got it! Team Big Brother is middle of the pack, 5th place. That’s good enough. The last two teams are not even to the Ducati challenge yet! But this is a megaleg so there is no mat at the end of the day. They have another Detour and Roadblock left to do tomorrow! The motivational team leaves in 9th place. Team Tall and Short are the last ones to complete their task. We leave with shorty still working on his bike. To be continued…
Over an hour later at 3:40….I’m done recapping for tonight. Survivor and TAR will go up tomorrow sometime. I need to let RHOBH and RHOSLC simmer for a bit. They are my top posts every week. And these recaps don’t bring much traffic, sadly. Two really great seasons are happening with TAR and Survivor!
Okay, I am going to bed now at 10am sigh.
