So, with RHOBH and RHOSLC airing on the same night, I don’t want to post my Survivor 43 Recap Or TAR on Wednesday night because it sort of covers them up. It doesn’t make sense to me to cover the shows that y’all like the best with recaps of two shows I wish more of you were watching. Also, it gives me a little time to breathe. 😉 And breathing is not my best subject these days.
I am still sad I have to watch this without Morriah. Owen is still kind of freaked out that his name was written down at tribal council. That was who Morriah voted to go. Oh great, now my other favorite Gabler is getting a bit too comfortable talking about how the next day they need to get some food. People don’t seem to be taking kindly to that. I hope he doesn’t get too confident. I think he needs to play his immunity the next time they are at tribal.
Vesi, The Red Tribe
I would be terrified to be outside in a half built shelter when this nasty storm rolled up. I am terrified of lightning and there is a lot of it. Everyone reevaluates their shelter. Ya think! Gabler is overwhelmed and out of shape. He is losing his body strength. They should have kept Morriah!
The next day, Dwight and Jesse of the Vesi tribe go hunting for advantages. They ponder their position within the tribe. There seems to be three pairs of two. Sort of. Dwight is more allied with both of the guys. Jesse is sidling up to Dwight for good measure. But he seems more allied with Cody. Noelle and Justine are a very tight pair. Dwight is being played a bit but he doesn’t know it. Dwight says Cody won’t talk game with him. Cody goes off to explore the island for things to jump off of. He’s a daredevil.
Justine is getting bossy. Noelle, who I completely forgot was an amputee, struggles to put her leg on because everything is so wet. Cody’s best friend lost his leg, and then died from cancer. That is why Cody is willing to take so many risks. All of these people have great stories.
Coco The Blue Tribe
Over at Coco they seem to be wasting time to do some morning exercises? They have no food and this is what they want to do with their energy?
The three girls are in alliance, Karla, Lindsey and Cassidy. They have brought in James. Or at least they think they have. The other two guys. Geo and Ryan are in a bit of a pickle. They think Karla is with them.
Geo finds an almond tree. He talks about sitting under his grandmother’s almond tree as a kid growing up in Peru. Now we are starting to fall in love with him. That usually means we wil lose him soon.
He talks about coming out to his family. It did not go well. His parents shunned him and he became homeless. He considered suicide and had severe depression. I like Geo and Ryan better than the other four.
The Baka Tribe Green
Oh It is Owen, not Gabler who is the loveable curmudgeon. That makes me less worried about Gabler for now. That’s what Owen friends call him. He seems to have some resentment over having to fetch water. He is kind of crabby. Meanwhile, the girls are hunting for idols. Jeanine and Elie are trying to decide between Sami and Owen as a third. Clearly, the choice is Sami if he is willing. For some reason these two girls feel like they have their pick between the two. They don’t seem to think the guys are playing the game. I feel like the guys always made a guys alliance though.
I have way too many new shows with new names to learn this week! Sorry if I mix some up. I am trying not to. Elie missed an immunity idol while she was out idol hunting. She almost touched it. She also acts like the mom in the group. So the guys on this team are Gabler, Owen and Sami. And Jeanine and Elie are the only two girls left. So they definitely need a third. I hate them both for sending Morriah home. The guys are all going to stick together. Maybe. Probably. Yet another reason they were dumb to send Morriah home.
The Immunity Challenge
The immunity challenge is complicated. They have to swim out to a huge cage and pull out huge a 400 pound (fake) snake. They have to get it back to shore and place it on a mat (for lack of a better term). Then, in the snake are number tiles that are clues to a combination lock. Once they open the lock they will have access to puzzle pieces. Then two players will solve a big puzzle with all the pieces. Whew. I am tired just typing that. The last team gets no reward, loses their flint and goes to tribal. The first team wins a huge fishing kit. The second team gets a smaller fishing kit.
Baca is the the first to get the snake over, even thought Gabler is really struggling. But, Coco is right behind them. Vesi is currently behind. Baca gets their combination and puzzles pieces first. The two girls are doing the puzzle. I don’t think they are very smart. It all comes down to the puzzle. Baca is not doing well. But somehow they beat the other two teams. Coco is second. Vesi is going to tribal. NNeka is on the chopping block. Two black girls in a row going home? I’m shocked. Said no one ever. Nekka doesn’t seem to have allies on her team. Noelle and Justine want NNeka out. Cody is not going to allow that. YAY! Although she did suck at the challenge. It could be boys against the girls at tribal.
Gabler is the only one who has spear fished before, but one of the mean girls, Jeanine I think, is just so rude about it. He does have to learn to use a Hawaiian sling, whatever that is. But does she really think she is the better choice?
Over on Vesi, Justine is nervous that she might be going. She probably is. That would make me really happy. Dwight wants to get out Cody. This is a real mess that I am having trouble following at 1:30 am. Cody and Jesse tell Nneka to vote out Justine. Cody needs to know how to spell it. If Justine and Noelle team up with Dwight to get out Cody, there would be a tie, right? Then, Cody finds an advantage right out in the open. Imagine that. It’s a beware advantage. He must do what it says. Oh he has to convince everyone to give him the bead off their Survivor bag. Everyone must do so willingly to get the advantage. I don’t see that happening. When and if it doesn’t, he loses his vote. Sounds to me like Cody is going home. That will be huge!
Cody tells Jesse about the beware advantage. Jesse is irritated that Cody was dumb enough to pick up the Beware idol. These people are actually giving Cody the beads from their bag to make a stupid hat to wear to tribal. Noelle says she is using her beads to make herself a bracelet. I hate Noelle. But, YAY! We don’t see anything else until tribal council. I guess when Cody goes to vote either there will be an idol, or he will not have a vote. Cody basically sells he will make Justine a hat IF SHE STAYS. I forgot Dwight doesn’t have a vote.
Justine votes for Nneka. Neka voted for Justin Cody did complete his challenge? I guess that is a big bracelet on his hat? He voted for Justine and so did. Jesse. Buh bye Justine. I won’t miss you at all. Dwight is confused and now knows he wasn’t part of the inside group. He is already pissed at Jesse for leaving him out of the loop. Next week. Gabler finds out that Jeanine went through his back and he is coming for her.
I have eye strain from hours of straight recapping. I’ll put this up when I wake up tomorrow, probably well after noon. It’s 2:30 now and I still have TAR to recap. Wednesdays are really hard.
