It’s that time of day when I am counting down the minutes until I can go back to bed. The weird part is after I finish recapping I am wide awake and stay up all hours of the night. It’s just another weird thing that is happening over here. Nevertheless, I’m ready for tonight’s Below Deck Med recap. I am actually enjoying this season. I like the new reformed Captain Sandy. Let’s see how this episode goes and if that changes. I still say it is the best season of Below Deck Med ever. I haven’t forgotten what Captain Sandy did to Hannah. But, everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves.
Sandy pulls Natasha in to tell her that she should not keep two stews on service all night. One of them should be mopping the stew area and keeping the stew pantry organized. Why is she even snooping around the stew pantry? Also, the number of stews on service after dinner depends on how needy they are. I hate to agree with Natasha on anything, but in this case disagree with Sandy. They often want more food and drinks that never stop flowing until they pass out. Stick to the wheelhouse, Sandy! If you want to know what the issue is with the interior, it’s Natasha who is CONSTANTLY ON THE PHONE.
A Crew Night Out
I understand Dave standing by Natasha. He’s dickmatized. But, what is Kyle’s excuse? Anyway, it’s time to try to dock the boat without hitting anything. And shockingly they did. The each got $1,800 in tips. Plus a night out “on the owners” and a full day off at a beach resort. So Natasha and Kyle lay down in the cabin while Natalya does all the work. Zee is trying to fix what I think is a small hole in the hull of the vessel. Natasha and Kyle are skipping the dinner out in order to organize the pantry and mop. Natalya thinks they are being ridiculous. They had four hours to get it done and instead they hung out in a bunk gossiping.
At dinner, Natalya and Courtney tell Dave that it is not right for Natasha to be playing with his feelings when she has a boyfriend back home. Jason is drinking all the white wine because everyone else wants the red. Jason is trashing the whole deck team to the the interior. Okay, I am starting to see why he doesn’t fit in now. Mzi is hoping to hook up with some random girl from the club on his birthday. Jason goes straight to his bunk when he gets back. He has an attitude. I think it is mostly because he’s not included with the rest of the crew.
I’m Married, I’m Not Dead
Out of nowhere, the woman Mzi has been talking too admits she is married. Wow, that should have been the first thing she said. Dave, Mzi and Courtney take the last sprinter to the boat. It looks like it may be Courtney and Mzi after all. Didn’t they hook up on a previous season? Storm has a present for Natalya. It’s a very nice watch. Natalya is kind of freaked out. She has no faith in relationships lasting. Same here.
On to the beach resort. If I am ever able to travel again, I will do Italy and Malta. Or at least I can dream. The beaches in Malta are all rocky. You would think the resort would make a sand beach, but apparently not. Dave can really swim! The proverbial shit is finally hitting the fan for Natasha. Dave and the boyfriend back home are pissed at her. She’s probably going to lose them both. And she should. Mzi tries to include Jason in the group. But, Jason is pissy about it.
Storm’s Heart Is Broken
Natalya talks to Mzi about Storm taking things too fast. Natasha keeps confiding in Dave about things. But, not in any genuine sort of way. She is bitching about her boyfriend to him. Storm continues to woo (for lack of a better term) Natalya. But her comments make him decide to back off. I think Natalya is being overly dramatic. Take the watch and say thank you. It is not that hard. Storm walks away for the group and goes down to the ocean. Probably to cry. Natalya goes after him. But, He just wants to be alone. Natalya is so self-centered. Give the guy his space.
At dinner, Kyle says he has been enjoying this crew and is having the time of his life. In confessional, Kyle says Natalya is like a Tasmanian devil, cute to look at but hella annoying. And she the nice one. He seems to like the bitchy chief stew better. Courtney and Kyle go to smoke. Courtney tells him she is having a rough time because her dad is struggling with Alzheimer’s. That must be hard. It came on suddenly. This is so sad. Now he can’t talk or walk.
Storm Is All The Way Over Jason
Storm says that Jason is in subordinate. Also, he seems to be the same way with Courtney. Storm has had enough of his attitude. It’s Storm’s first time having to have this sort of conversation since he is brand new to being a bosun. Maybe he should seek advice from Captain Sandy. So that is what is on the agenda the next morning before the new guests arrive. Captain Sandy approves of the newly organized pantry and floors. Storm pulls Jason aside for a chat. It stars out very polite on Storm’s side. He basically asks him to be more proactive in a very kind way. Jason insists he is already doing that. Then, he basically tells him to replace him.
I’m going to zip through WWHL because one of the brunette stews is on it. And if anything interesting is said, I’ll discuss it here. It’s Natalya (the nice one) and Magda from Down Under. Did she really fly in from Australia to do WWHL? Magda and her boyfriend are no longer dating. Natalya feeds bad after watching the show about her behavior toward Storm. Natalya and Storm are no longer together and have both moved on. BUT! They still talk everyday. The bartenders are from Real Girlfriends of Paris. Did they fly in from Paris for this? Oh, I guess they all might be there for Bravo Con. Nothing interested happened.
