Okay, I’m a few minutes late for this RHODubai recap but all three set ups are ready to go. Let’s do this! It appears I am going to have to relearn the faces for this one all over again. Ayan, aka Chanel is the only one I immediately recognize. Caroline Stanbury is about to marry her boytoy so of course she uses the event as a promotional to do it at the Raffles Hotel.
Caroline Stanbury are Lesa brought together poolside for high tea, it seems we are all staying at the Raffles Hotel for the week. Nina is going to run interference. Then, Iman shows up looking like Iman to support Lesa. They are ordering lots of snacks. How long until they get thrown? Stanbury apologizes and blames it on the alcohol. Then, as a backup she goes for the LVP standby, “It’s just my British humor.” Somehow, Lesa just accepts the standard apology. That scene was to short for the effort that Iman put into that look.
It’s Never Too Late to Become Someone Like Me~Sara Al Madani
Sara is hosting the Global Citizen Gala to help eradicate world hunger. That’s a huge deal. I am impressed. But, all I really care about Iman’s FASHIONS! Each is more interesting than the next. Plus, her therapist has her watering her fake plants to pretend like she is living in a garden. Sara really pushes hypnotherapy. AIN”T NOBODY ASKED FOR THAT! If watering her fake plants makes her feel better just be happy for her. Then she says, “It’s never too late to become someone like me. I was not born like this.” Then, at the big event, she has everyone stand up and pledge to be a better person. Dear Lord, the delusion runs deep with this one.

Back at Raffles, Caroline is having the most elegant pool party ever. And look, they are dispelling the myth about gay people not traveling to Dubai. Dubai loves taking money from foreigners. Iman is still talking about Sara’s judgmental and arrogant comments. Then Iman’s two friends fly in from London, and we all pause for that time-old game of Gay or European? Brooks is sending her son to boarding school, and Stanbury disapproves of the idea. So much unsolicited advice. Iman tries to make up with Brooks. Then, she breaks down because her dad is in the hospital in the US and she can’t get there. She is the one who has to take care of the whole family. Iman apologizes.
Now Back With More Of The Caroline Stanbury Show…
Caroline and her sister Jasmine join her father for dinner. Her mom is in the room sleeping because of “jetlag.” They are eating at a restaurant called Clap. If that were not unappetizing enough, it’s sushi. I’m hoping to get down the baked potato I have in the oven. Just stop! I’m going to try and do a twice baked potato. Fun fact! I do not have the stuff to make a twice baked potato. Anyway, Caroline is not looking forward to being around her new in-laws.

Brooks invites her two best gay friends and Sara over for dinner. Brook’s son Adam is so cute. He seems a bit young for boarding school. Brooks doesn’t even tuck him in. The help doesn’t just help in her house they do everything, just like in the movie. Sara kindly shares that he does seem to be a bit young for that and that most of the people she knows who went to boarding school are “cold” and felt abandoned. She tells her to get closer to him. My brother went to boarding school and had the time of his life. But that was grade 9 -12. He was home on holidays and all summer. I begged to go to summer school in Switzerland. My parents said a harsher version of what Sara said, “Boarding school is for parents who don’t love their kids.” They were just cheap. lol.
Her best friends side with Sara and Brooks goes bat shit and starts screaming at everyone. And that is one recap down two to go! Two of the women from RHODubai are on WWHL. I’ll watch that later and comment below if I am still up and kicking. 🙂
Ugh Sara is trying way too hard .. been to too many Tony Robbins seminars … I just love Chanel. I know she is over the top but she has a sweet side to her.
Iman is really the breakout star of the show: she balances out her crazy/kookie, with kindness and playful humour.
I enjoy Lisa Milan too, she’s kinda like the Cynthia of the cast to me. A role Sara seems to think she would fill with her calm, preaching and “niceness”. It’s unfortunately given disingenuous, and fake deep.
Caroline has grown on me, which i wasn’t too sure would happen at first. She’s tolerable for sure.
While I didn’t see the full episode and therefore missed Brookes’ explosion – I have learned speaking of someone’s parenting or other, shall we say, touchy personal topics in a critical (even if kindly constructive) ways while in said person’s home can be disastrous. Her spice is needed on the show though, so hopefully that is not a very common reaction from her.
Ironically amongst the cast are the women who have the farthest away ethnicities than the two with more related cultural roots.
God damn…. I love this show. I had given up on all the others over the last couple years, but this one is soooo good! Thanks for the recaps!!

Havent seen a single episode. I do love Caroline S is this show worth investing time in ? Seriously enjoying Peacock vintage episodes of RHOM RHONJ & RHOBH # nostalgia
If you loved Caroline Stanbury on LOL, as I did, then you will surely be disappointed. Her fall from grace as queen of that show to 50 yr old influencer whose young, hot hubby turns out to be a psychophant who suffers from Helsinki syndrome, is painful to watch. Her wiity, snarky quips seem mean-spirited and malicious. Her relationship is painful to watch. We have seen this man cry because Stanbury doesn’t want children with him, doesn’t want to sit with his parents at their wedding , even because she won’t have sex with him. And she relishes in his tears. It’s not attractive. If she realizes she is unable to get close to people, get therapy, not be awful and say this is why.. If she really loved Sergio, she would let him go and find the life he really wants but he serves her ego, and literally serves her so there it is. Caroline is aslo outshined comppetely by fantastic, fabulous Ayan who gets better every week. Sarah started strong but is a little too full of herself and drinking her own koolaid. I think she totally crossed the line with Brookes, even if someone solicits her opinion. You don’t speak on another woman’s mothering. Lots of advice and opinions can be given while leaving that out. Not to mention her whole “you can be like me” statement to Chanel Ayan, who is great as is. I laughed out loud.
Again, I ask why Fendi is givng all the housewives who are either broke or have questionable money all these clothes.?? Ugh, I am sick of seeing Stanbury and Brookes, Sheree on Atlanta, etc in Fendi. Brings brand down to me. Stanbury is hocking any and everything. No wonder she and her fanboy husband are trying to shade Lesa and her company on Twitter. Just kike Soggy Flicker knew when Margaret called her “Soggy”, she wiuld be the butt of jokes forever. When Lesa’s husband called Stansbury a “50 yr old influencer “, even Caroline knew we would all be laughing at that forever!! Lesa also gets more likeable every week. She stays classy even when dealing with Caroline and that’s saying a lot at this point.
Btw, did anyone else think Caroline should tell her lovely daughter that for the two hours she is out with her grandfather for dinner (not a bbq or park), no midriff, no cleavage? Made me uncomfortable.
Seeing how Caroline is always dressed inappropriately herself and is inordinately proud of her middle aged midriff, I don’t think she can give appropriate clothing advice.

You just summed up every thought I had about this episode. I was shocked that Caroline’s daughter had so much cleavage for a dinner with her grandfather. Isn’t she 17? I know teenagers here dress like that here, but I didn’t think teenagers in Duabi could dress like that.
I didn’t notice the midriff. That would be something she had no need to pack for a wedding trip to Dubai. They Raffles is basically like a large compound so it was not like she was roaming the streets of Dubai, but still, not something she should have been wearing.
I don’t notice a lot of things as I am typing and half listening to the conversations that don’t seem important.Like you know, any thing Caroline is saying on this show.
She’s 15!
So far the 2 Americans are my least favorite. Her English husband looks like John Leguizamo and the other one’s ballistic meltdown was flat out nasty. The kid did not want to be there.
They sell twice baked potatoes at Kroger for 3.5, they’re really good. I’m not sure how close Kroger is to you and I realize you’re a Publix girl so just FYI. I think that’s a deal considering the ingrediences (had to) and work.

I cannot imagine why anyone would want to be around her, if she did not have connections or wealth.

Caroline Brooks behaved horribly even though she was in the right, but her delivery undermined that. The way she spoke to her lifelong friend was awful. She completely misdirected her anger at him when it was really Sarah who said too much. He should have stayed out of it but didn’t deserve that. Brooks and Nina were on WWHL and he was there so….The only thing they talked about were Chanel Ayan and Lesa. Frankly, I forget Nina most of the time.
Alan is hands down the star. Her wardrobe and one liners are epic. I am not familiar with the Global young leaders but my spidy senses tell me it is circle gerk feel good endeavor much like other charities. The motivational talk was belch and reminded me of a cult or some multi level marketing company. Caroline Stansbury seems bitter and miserable and if she is in love with her husband she has a funny way of showing it. Not sure why they got married but as she said last week she didn’t want to get married so I don’t know why they are. Might be a culture thing to live together unmarried is not looked upon well.
I’m still a big Stanbury fan. I creepily watched her stories and her relatives stories during the wedding. Hey, more power to her if she wants to show her midriff. I do on a few occasions and I’m 57.
I like Caroline Stansbury as a women of 50 I am dating someone 8 years younger and the last few times it was 10 years younger. So what? I did break up with rhe last giy I was engaged to bz I dont want more children. I have a 30 year old son who fulfilled all my material instincts. I got pregnant and married very young and had no desire to do it again. FYI ex hubby is on his 3rd marriage & just had two babies in the last 5 years. Hes very Richard Gere chic with his white hair since his early twenties. happy for him. I just dont see why we should be restricted to dating men our age or older. I tried older men & they couldn’t keep up.

Chanel continues to entertain. Usually when people dress absurdly over the top its a cry for attention. When Chanel does it, it’s legit. She’s bringing it this season.
Ok, so being the parent of a teen girl, I would not be ok with my daughter dressed the way Stanbury’s daughter was. It isn’t appropriate. I am aware bathing suits show more skin, but bathing suits aren’t worn everywhere. Plus my old father wouldn’t be comfortable seeing his grandkid with everything hanging out. This isn’t one of those conversations about “so and so is coming over so cover up.” It’s about dressing properly in public. Appropriate attire is generally required in restaurants
How much money does Stanbury make from all her endorsements? She has that salon, this hotel. What else? She is making her own money, which is impressive, but still kind of weird what a 45 year old woman is influencing. Do people in Dubai look up to her? Is she that lucrative an endorser?
Speaking of Stanbury, I don’t see her relationship lasting more than 5 years. This age difference is just the tip of the iceberg. They also has different personalities, families, goals, expectations. It’s always fun to date a younger person, but in the long run, the differences make these relationships challenging.
Bring back the goat! I need to plan a trip to Dubai. After watching Sex and the City I also want to visit Abu Dhabi. I’ll definitely need to plan a trip to both soon.
