Well, hey guys! It’s me TT, another year older and still waking at odd hours. Thanks so much for all the emails. So many that I am just going to thank you all here. I appreciate all the love from the family I was born into, and the family that adopted me and all the crazy oversharing that comes with here. It means a lot to me. Tonight, (technically this morning) I popped in to Twitter for a hot minute and saw that Twitter is going crazy over RHUGT 2. So I am compelled to watch it before going back to bed and will try to do a decent RHUGT recap. WELP! Either RHUGT2 wasn’t set to recap, or I am confused again. Was it on Bravo? I’m working over here with 20% brain function at best. So, I will be doing a Southern Charm recap instead.
Some Of Us Peaked In High School
So here we are back in Charleston once again. I have actually already watched this episode but I wasn’t paying the kind of attention I would during a recap. Instead, I was busy trying not to die and trying to convince myself not to drink a co-cola. I am slowly sipping co-cola number two now and feeling like I am returning to the living! That said, I may skip over most everything but the party. I am so happy to see Venita back! Naomie could have also stayed gone. Naomie tells Venita that she saw a nerd in high school and she was cool. Then she says “Some people peaked in high school. Some of us are peaking right now.” You are in the former group Naomie. What exactly have you done as an adult other than fail at relationships, crawl back to Charleston and live off your parents?
These two are off to play tennis. Leva calls so that Naomie can talk about the fact that she slept with Craig in Vegas and again in Charleston. Oh, Craig. Have some dignity. You were the Johnny to her Amber for years. Thankfully, he decided to go exclusive with Paige. I approve. The other emasculated male on the show, Chleb and Kathryn shoot some hoops. John Pringle drops by Craig’s highly successful shop on King Street to stir the pot with Austen and Shep. Craig doesn’t trust Shep or Austen. Good plan, Craig. Shep and Taylor are living together, “but not living together.” Taylor has purchased her own condo in Charleston? Hmmm. That means she comes from money otherwise Shep would not be with her.
Austen, the Honda of single men, who slept with everyone in the Summer House, has a new interest in Olivia. Her mama and daddy are from Charleston and I see that nice house. I’m guessing she gets whatever she wants from daddy. She also seems like someone straight out of central casting. But, I’m fine with it because it seems she is originally from Charleston? Kathryn’s party is her first date with Austen of course. It’s an all cast so of course Kathryn has to explain why she is inviting certain people, mainly Naomie.
I literally did not recognize the “Leva” that showed up to Naomie’s house. She looks 10 years younger than I remember. Lot’s of them seem to have work done. Especially, Kathryn who actually looks older after whatever she did. Not in a bad way exactly, she just lost her youthful innocence look. You can tell Naomie isn’t really from Charleston based on her ultra modern decor. There is nothing wrong with it. It’s just not Charleston. Levita arrives with multiple outfits to choose from. These three try to justify why they are going to Kathryn’s party. Leva asks Naomie about the chance that Paige shows up. She is fine with it. If she wasn’t so dead inside, I would not believe her.
The Great Katsby
Craig shows up with Paige, and is not wearing a tie or a jacket or a belt and his vest is too short his pants are too tight. Can someone please dress Craig? It’s a black tie event! Naomie comes in and hugs Kathryn and says, “Wow, you look like one big diamond!” Kathryn is already offended. She wanted groveling. Kathryn gossips to Shep about Craig and Naomie. Then, she goes around talking about Naomie not groveling at her feet to any of the women who will listen. Austen freaks out when Madison arrives putting Taylor, the new chick in the award position of talking him down from a panic attack along with some of the other girls. Taylor is pissed that Madison is ruining her first date.
Chleb chats with Levita trying to get her to be nice to Kathryn, but she’s not feeling it. Stay out of the girl talk, Chleb. The enemy of your girlfriend is your enemy. Them’s the rules. Production sends Shep, Craig and Austen out to cause some drama. Craig admits to Shep that he and Naomie twice. Now, Austen is pissed, either because he truly didn’t know (doubtful), or it’s in the script. Craig is angry with Shep and rude to Austen. He storms off because it is time for production to send out Kathryn and Chleb to fight. Chelb admits he talked to Levita. Kathryn blows her top. Chleb seems like a good guy. Kathryn says she is going home, “to her home.” You know, the one they both pay for?
One Last Hissy Fit For The Road
Kathryn can’t find her purse. She discovers that she a Leva have the same handbag. How convenient. Now she can confront Naomie and the gang. Kathryn says that basically she thought she was good with Naomie until she posted on social media that Kathryn should be ashamed of herself for making up lies about Cameron’s husband. Wow, I had forgotten that Cameron was not on the show. She left the show because of Kathryn’s accusations about her husband having an affair.
Naomie says Kathryn tries to ruin someone’s family. I hate to agree with Naomi but she is in the right with this one. One the other hand, wasn’t Kathryn going through the whole racist allegations and the semi recent death of her mother? That doesn’t make it right. But, still. Chleb shows up to try to get his women under control because she is loudly calling Naomie a “petty little bitch.” Meanwhile, poor Chleb is told to get the fuck away from her as she tries to get on the elevator and go home. How does he put up with this? Paige is amazed that the genteel south is not really as genteel as we claim.
And DONE! Nothing of interest happened on WWHL, it was just a circle jerk between Andy, Shep and Craig.
