Open Forum: The Insurrection Investigation

June 9, 2022 by tamaratattles 228 Comments

This is an open forum. Some people in the comments may be discussing politics. If like Fox News watchers, you can’t handle the truth, this Open Forum may not be for you. You might want to find something else to do while the grown folks are talking.

Or you can talk about anything else you would like here as it is an OPEN FORUM like any other. I won’t be around too much to moderate because I have some sort of tummy issue going on. Please act like the adults you are. See you tomorrow.

This is not a attack… Any “grown” person should be able to hold two thought at the same time. I appreciate TT having this open forum because I think it is important to reach every walk of life that might not invest the time in watching the hearings.

Don’t feel alienated, please post your thoughts or opinion so we can discuss it. Who knows maybe we both can learn something new?

This is not a trial. If it was a trial there would be defense council and cross examination. Liz Cheney would have you been forced to complete the reading of Trumps tweet where he said “Go Home”.
This is the continuation of the witch hunt.

That’s not true at all. The testimony from General Milley was that Trump didn’t call anyone at all on 1/6 to help. Pence finally took charge. And no, Pelosi wasn’t in charge.

That’s not true either. Pelosi was indeed in charge there. And out of her own mouth said she didn’t want the guard’s at the time. But it could have been while she was drunk and didn’t remember. 🤷‍♀️

            From the USA Today:
“ But a look at the Capitol Police’s chain of command shows that Pelosi wasn’t in charge of the law enforcement agency on Jan. 6. USA TODAY previously rated a similar claim false, and other independent fact-checking organizations have reached similar conclusions”

This is called a “hearing”, nobody participating has called it a “trial”. Facts.
You’ve labelled it, “a trial” then complained that the word isn’t an accurate description.
Trump did tweet to the insurrectionists, hours and hours after the insurrection began and only after he realized, he wasn’t going to overturn the election. He stood around watching the spectacle with glee from a safe distance on the telly as officers, protecting our capital were unmercifully beaten and struggled to hold the line to protect our capital from a mob threatening to hang the people inside and desecrate the building.. . All facts. Fwiw and importantly, at no time did Trump attempt to contact the National Guard, the military etc to protect the people in the Capital or the officers. He thought it appropriate that the insurrectionists hang Mike Pence.
        Mike Pence made the calls.
Witch hunt! LoL. yeah, my parents watch Fox 24/7 too.
Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining. Wishing and emotions aren’t Facts.

BARB— BeetsWhy is here with you and we are the voice of reason.

The production last night was… was… I don’t know how to say it politely… PRODUCED. I was waiting for Donny and Marie to come out with the Brady kids and announce this Very Special Episode.

Please tell me why the Dems needed to air this “trial” in prime time on every free channel—unlike Sesame Street that is only for the wealthy children on HBO Max.

The “insurrection” compared to the “mostly peaceful protests” is utterly laughable. The fact that the Dems had to edit and splice the video timing of Trump’s speech and the first entry of the four or five people dressed in all black, head to toe, tells you everything.

But everyone slams each other and bites off the head’s of other’s, all because they can’t have a conversation . If more people would have conversations instead of name calling and sinuations the world would be a better place. 🤷‍♀️

Lol, own research. Do you know what the word even means?

The noun is the systemic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions.

Systemic investigation isn’t FOX news or you tube.

It seems like some fiction. That our POSTUS (I have yet to call him the standard honorific) was the ringleader, is especially unreal. I wish it were fiction. If he goes to jail, it will make watching it worth it.

This is why it is not possible to have a conversation as you all keep requesting very disingenuously. Google works for all or would you like her to wipe your butt for you too?

So, you’re not trying to be ugly or controversial, but, since you can’t deny the extensive list of accomplishments of the current POTUS, you now pivot to demanding somebody educate you as to how this is being paid for and why his ratings are so low? Popularity is not a reflection of accomplishment in America. That’s how con men can go from reality tv stars to GOP demigods in an election cycle in the US.

For those who don’t understand, there is always the option of doing your own fact finding by researching your questions via hard copy or an electronic search. Facts are never controversial, they exist because researchers have gone to great time, effort and expense to provide a verified answer to your questions. We are very lucky in this country to have free access to information In many areas of the world, that is not the case. Most if not all of your inquiries expressed above can be satisfied by spending the time and effort to research them. Happy hunting!

I love this country and I want us to STAY the USA. Sorry but we need better leaders than the ones we have been given to choose from in the last several years.

All those giveaways Sunshine listed are the *problem.* They are not a good thing. They are why inflation is so high (highest in 40 years, and still going up). Inflation most hurts lower- and middle-income people.

The role of government is to ensure a safe, orderly environment for people to make something of their life; it is not to give everyone handouts. The current handout spree is going to be terrible for the future. It is why we are experiencing this inflation and are on the brink of a depression.

Biden has been a disaster on every front–the open Southern border has enabled fentanyl and other drugs to pour in. One hundred thousand people have died from fentanyl poisoning.

Biden has caused this terrible inflation and high gas prices (which started going up as soon as he shut down the XL pipeline and other energy initiatives his first day in office). He tries to blame gas prices on Putin, but that’s an obvious lie, since prices were going up well before Putin invaded. So now we are no longer energy-independent, and Biden has to go begging to the Saudis.

He completely botched the Afghanistan withdrawal, causing the deaths of 13 American servicemembers and scores of Afghanis, plus giving $80+ billion of our military weapons and equipment to the Taliban.

That botched Afghanistan withdrawal emboldened Putin to invade Ukraine, and now we are on the brink of war with a nuclear power. And his gaffes about Taiwan have endangered us on another front.

Biden is utterly corrupt, as Hunter’s laptop revealed–with Hunter, Joe, and brother James taking millions from China and Russia, our greatest enemies.

He is an incompetent, senile doofus, who touches the chests of young girls and sniffs their hair. If you haven’t seen the compilation video of him doing these things, just google it.

His administration has labeled parents “domestic terrorists,” and tried to set up a Ministry of Truth to silence people they didn’t like.

He has been a complete disaster.

Amen! Wonder where she cut and pasted that list from, the campaign office to reelect the President? The Republicans don’t want Trump running again. It would only further divide the country. There would be more of the same “investigations” and nothing would be accomplished in four years. They need to run someone who has a combination of business experience as well as political without actually being a Washington insider and who doesn’t rely on PAC or lobbyist money. That of course is a unicorn. Better to rely on each state’s own governance and local elections and hope that the Fed doesn’t just implode. The state that takes less Federal money and relies on its own economy and people will be the stronger in the end.

SD, bless your heart you are so misinformed. See my responses below.

Inflation is high because of post-pandemic demands (supply shortages and consumer demands) and the war in Ukraine. Its important to note that the stimulate checks, is also a factor. The economy today, would have been impacted no matter who was elected president.

            Roles of the Government:
To form a more perfect Union
            To establish Justice
            To insure domestic Tranquility
To provide for the common defense
            To promote the general Welfare
To secure the Blessings of Liberty

            Southern Boarder (Mexico)

In January 2019 Trump created the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP). In January 2021, Biden temporarily suspended the MPP program. However, Missouri and Texas challenged the decision in a Texas district court and won. The Supreme Court upheld the lower court’s ruling. MPP (Trump’s program) formally restarted in December 202l. Question for you: Who’s policy is failing?

            Fentanyl

Street fentanyl can come from two main sources, illegal drug labs or patches that have been sold by or stolen from people they were prescribed to.

            High Gas Prices

Let’s start with the XL pipeline myth. XL pipeline has absolute nothing to do with high gas prices, it was not completed and had a completion date of 3 years The existing Keystone pipeline system, which was built before the XL expansion was proposed and continue to provide to provide energy to the US.

The US has not been energy independent in decades. High Gas Prices problem was not created by a single individual or political party, it was created by global forces. This is an extremely complex issue, but if you want to know more, her you go: https://www.forbes.com/sites/mikepatton/2022/06/13/the-real-reason-behind-higher-oil-and-gasoline-prices/?sh=58f8b456f89b

            Afghanistan Withdrawal

While the withdrawal from Afghanistan could have been handle differently, maybe. I have go with the old adage of “If not now, when?

Putin does not need any motivation from others to do his deed, he does good all by himself. I believe, without facts, that he was hoping trump would win reelection to support his evil deeds.

The rest of your comments related to Biden competent and being corrupt is just ridiculous and so is the “domestic terrorists” and “Ministry of Truth” comments.

We all know who was corrupt, incompetent, senile doofus, and who grabbed women by the pu**y. If you haven’t seen the video of trump doing these things, just google it. Also, be sure to watch the hearings for a front row seat of a bully and corrupt person in action..

Honor and compassion for themselves rather than listening to an egomaniac lying about a rigged, stolen election while he’s sucking people in and lining his own pockets on their hard earned money. I won’t comment on what they have done for the country but off the top of my head the 4 years Trump was in power I could not AFFORD health insurance…some how come March after Biden took over my health insurance went from 1800 a month down to 400 a month and I could afford it! For me that’s enough…everyone has an issue that is critical to them and for me it’s being able to afford health insurance. I could not do that for 4 years…for 4 years I had no health insurance and my chronic illnesses had to go untreated. May not mean a dern thing to anyone else but to me it’s huge.

This is being handled so well. The unfortunate part is that Trump fans won’t believe it, or if they believe the testimony, they won’t see anything wrong with what was done. The day after this happened I posted video on my FB page and told my friends & relatives if they thought this attack on the House was OK or justified, they needed to unfriend me because I wanted nothing more to do with them. I parted ways with people I’ve known for years. After the hearing has been completed, I’m going to make that same offer. I want nothing to do with anyone who supports this attack or supports Trump.

Hi. I agree with you 100%. Fringe groups have been around forever. The reason we are so aware of them now is due to 24 hour news and the internet. I also have friends who are far left dems, middle of the road dems, far right reps and middle of the road reps. I accept them for who they are and find something good in all of them. Both sides have ignored gun control for years and years. They are both to blame. As for the insurrection? I find it horrible and wrong. You can’t always get your way. Sadly, today, many people don’t think like that. It’s either their way or you are wrong. And that is not what this country was built on…. Everyone needs to stop hating. Just stop hating.

Well said, and same here. I watch many news channel’s, including fox and CNN, they’re both one sided and never give whole truths. I make up my own mind and do my own research. But I do wish they’d concentrate on what’s happening now, the shortage of food, formula , the prices of gas, rent, food etc. A lot of people are barely surviving and it’s only going to get worse. There’s a 50 50 chance that in 2 years we will be in the worse depression ever, sad…

100 per cent agree. I would like gun reform not control. I beleive in the second ammendment but with restrictions. I too am very concerned about food, medicine for the elderly and all people. The PRICE of everything. I heard today that Ukraine is having a crisis of getting grain out of the port Russia most wants to control. There are thousands of lbs. It is already effecting Africa and causing food crisis. They expect it will go global.

It is no wonder there is so much anger. I am afraid of a depressions too.

I am genuinely curious as to why all the destruction and crime in many cities do not warrant the same outrage. I’m not being controversial I am sincerely trying to understand how cities like Chicago Portland and NYC can experience such destruction of property, businesses destroyed neighborhoods terrorized and the outrage is not heard, where is the news special on TV about the detrimental after effects about those protests?

OH!OH!OH! PICK ME! I KNOW! Protesters are protected by the constitution within limits. The actual RIOTERS in those cities were arrested and prosecuted. The reason there was a live HEARING about THE INSURRECTION is because attempts to overthrow the election BY A SITTING PRESIDENT is kind of big deal. A SITTING PRESIDENT encouraging his sycophants to kill the vice president. A sitting president to do NOTHING and call in no national guards or military of any kind to protect the capitol building in or the congresspeople inside the the the capitol. To refuse to call them off. To tell them they are special people and he loves them is the kind of thing that happens in Third World Countries led by dictators. The sitting president did NOTHING to protect the vice president or any of the members in congress under attack. Instead, the SITTING PRESIDENT ENCOURAGE THE ENTIRE COUP ATTEMPT despite every single one of his advisors and his own daughter telling him he had LOST THE ELECTION.

      Does that help?

Absolutely! Unfortunately I’ve only heard this mentioned once in the news. A reporter who was embedded in BLM peaceful protest marches, all day long, over many days said that they would see people coming in from side streets in the evening and joining their groups. People who have lived long enough know how peaceful protests usually go so it seemed quite plausible that right-wing sh*t disturbers were joining those protests and causing most if not all of the trouble & property destruction. And of course they would love to do this to make the BLM protesters look bad. (Didn’t Kyle Rittenhouse turn up at a peaceful protest?)

Tfg’s supporters said many times that the Capitol invaders were dems, antifa, etc. Totally sounds like something out of tfg’s playbook.

Oh, and “Nancy Pelosi did it” is the weakest line of bullshit going. Try harder. Why be such an easy mark? 5 seconds on google would clear this up for you.

Security of the Capitol Complex is the direct responsibility of the four-member Capitol Police Board, which includes both sergeants-at-arms.

The House sergeant-at-arms reports to the speaker of the House, or Pelosi at the time of the attack. The Senate sergeant-at-arms reports to the Senate majority leader; in the days leading up to and including Jan. 6, that was Kentucky Republican Mitch McConnell.

The house sergaent at arms resisted calling in the Natl Guard because intelligence didn’t “seem” to warrant it. He should have checked FB. That shit was everywhere.

Those lunatics were wandering the halls crooning “Naaan cyyyy..’ You think she didn’t want cops there to make Rs look bad? Ok, Hondo.

Well, the rioters who ripped apart Michigan Avenue in Chicago were not prosecuted. At all. They were released on bail and never tried. The shootings in Chicago right now are at a record high and Lightfoot does nothing. Kim Fox lets them all go. The poor people who just want to live their lives are getting shot at while watching tv in their own homes. Or car jacked while driving. Or walking out of the hospital to their cars in parking garages. Multiple time felons are out on the streets. Nobody does anything because nobody cares. Where is all the outrage about all the little kids getting killed in Chicago? I’ve been wondering this since Obama was in office which is when the crime started spiking and the thugs started taking over the good neighborhoods. There are no good neighborhoods left in Chicago now. It’s a shit show.

I’m not sure what news sources you watch or what involvement you have in your community. That may be the difference in your perspective. I live in a “high crime” city and I can tell you firsthand that there are many community organizations out there having protests about gun violence and doing work to lower crime in communities. And our local media does cover those organizations (not as much as they could/should). So the narrative that city crime is not met with outrage is false.

Absolutely. The only time coverage is granted is if it is a high name person or group. Much of the real work done for good in this country is done by local groups and organizations within their communities. It , in my opinion, is usually the every day people of this country who get stuff done and never seem to ask for anything in return.

I live 2 blocks from the George Floyd protests. First I need to tell you we were not afraid of the local protesters. We were scared of all the folks from different states that drove in to take an opportunity to loot. We were mist afraid of the tall muscular doods with random various military fatigues meeting on the streets and hiding different flammable in our yards. There were white supremacists and anarchists and God knows what other kind of fringe groups here burning down our buildings. The locals were tame. But to your point, yes all of this was less scary than an attempted coup and how close we came to losing our Democracy! We almost become an authoritarian ruled nation with Herr Trump in charge of our very lives.

I didn’t cry until the female Capitol Police Officer testified … how horrendous her account and experience. Then the thought crossed my mind that she was violated and almost died on January 6th, protecting Republicans who will violate her rights as a woman by controlling her body and put her in danger again supporting gun rights for pissed off people. I know I’m not saying it correctly but all of this is too much.

They blamed the lack of National Guards on Pelosi and claimed it was her responsibility to contact them, and she purposely didn’t want them as she wanted the riots to happen to make the republicans look bad.

My concern is all the laws and tactics the GOP is taking to trying to override elections if they don’t like the outcome. This midterm matters so much to vote in people who believe in fair elections and serving the people, not just staying in power

He would have done as trump asked and overturned the electoral vote if there was any way possible to do so. After asking around, he realized there was nothing he could do. It was not some great act of courage on his part to preserve the republic.

Yes! I remember this being mentioned, that he did make calls to try to see if there was a way to pull off what Trump wanted. I think Woodward wrote about it, that it was Quayle who convinced Pence it couldn’t legally be done. Heard Woodward commenting on it and either he or Bernstein said Pence wasn’t this big hero, he at least appeared to be trying to find a way to not certify. Had noticed that point had kind of faded away, as in media not mentioning it and Pence being lauded as the one with the great courage to go through with the certification.

Pence also gives me a shapeshifting “Man fom Glad”/silver Ken doll vibe of artificiality.

I am also watching the John Dean Watergate program on CNN on Sunday nights I think). There was so much more going on there than I remember from the hearings back in the day. I cannot fathom how anyone could watch the insurrection as it was happening –live–and not see with their own eyes what was happening to our Democracy. How anyone can say this was an okay way to “protest” frightens me to my core for what will become of us if ALL the people aren’t held accountable.

FOX was the only network not to air the hearings. That is very telling. What doesn’t FOX want people to see? What is FOX hiding? Maybe the fact that their hosts Sean Hannity, Jeanine Pirro, Maria Bartiromo to name a few, were working in conjunction with Trump to put out misinformation?

Oh let’s not forget Jeanine Pirro snagged a pardon for her ex husband. The pardon, announced less than 45 minutes before Joe Biden was sworn in as president! Quid pro quo?

This has been discouraging, however I think there is so much evidence against him in trying to overturn the election, especially with that call to Georgia State Officials wanting them to find 11,780 votes, it will land him and others in jail.

I think the DOJ is working overtime behind the scenes and doesn’t want to appear to be coordinating anything with the Jan. 6th committee as to not make it political. Because you know Trump is a two trick pony.

        Trick 1) Election was rigged.

        Trick 2) It’s a witch-hunt!

It should be easy. If you would be angry that the other side’s guy did it, the same should hold true for “your” guy. If Biden and his supporters had done what we saw on Jan. 6th, this whole thing would be going entirely different.

I’m not a fan of Liz Cheney but I respect her for standing up for what is right. At this point, If I absolutely had to vote for a Republican President in 2024, it would be her or Adam Kinzinger (but he is retiring).

Liz Cheney is putting her oath to the constitution ahead of her ego, money and power. Too bad many other Republicans aren’t following her lead and have sold their souls to the devil or in this case Trump which at this point is all in the same.

But what about the BLMmmmmms???? Goddam, people are stupid. I don’t believe for one second this is an innocent question. And can’t you come up with your own shit? Does everything have to be regurgitated? The most illegitemate investigation everrrrrr. Pathetic. It took them less than 24 hours to change the narrative. I know. I watched Fox the entire time out of sheer curiosity. My partner in life over here stormed out of the room immediately and refused to speak to me during the whole thing. Oh, and i saw people organizing to go to Washington to “stop the steal” on a local FB page for weeks leading up to 1/6. Houses in my neighborhood were covered in signs and banners. That nothing beyond bike barriers was done on the Capitol grounds in inexcusable, really.

I remember the keening, pulling of hair and gnashing of teeth about the peaceful transfer of power when Obama was in office. That, I guess (?), brown people were going to show up when he lost and prevent it. Now, crickets. “They” are still out to get that innocent little babe in the woods, our lord and savior DJT the biggest conman to ever hit NYC.

I also remember all the civil war talk before the election. I remember asking, who’s gonna start that? Surely not the gun hoarders that go grocery shopping in tactical gear! *clutches pearls*

I am in a very bad place. I hope others are doing better. You can’t have a reasonable conversation with a large number of these people. They turn everything around on you, so convinced everything they say is the gospel truth. Act like you’re the one throwing ad hominem attacks. They’ll stand right there and tell you those children being murdered in TX was staged. AGAIN. For what, to take your guns? I dare any one of them to tell me what it takes to amend the Constitution. No peeking! We can’t even get the simplest things done at this point because of all the DC trolls, ghouls. overzealous do-gooders and stonewallers ruining it. It’s the best there is! Work with it!! God help us.

And for all you butt hurt folks out there crying about Tamara pointing out the sheer obviousness of it all, what about myyyy siiiiiide? Maybe you ought to open your eyes. Yes, Virginia, Biden sucks. But this shit happened. Try to concentrate.

What we need to continue to do is get out and vote, encourage likeminded people to do the same. No matter what obstacles they throw at us, we need to vote during every election cycle. I don’t resort to it no matter who is in office or how I feel about that person. It just makes them sound uneducated to call each other names. Apparently neither side has an answer. Sorry but I’m getting angry about this why can’t we all just accept each other while simultaneously bitching about guns and kids getting shot. Clinton was the last one who banned the assault rifles. And no, I didn’t vote for him. But it’s blatantly obvious to me as a Texas resident that back when we actually got shit done it was by reaching across the aisle on issues that both sides cared about. The right wing fucknuts can’t be seen giving a fucking inch on weapons intended for WAR. I was a lifelong Republican until TFG entered the scene. I’m not on either side but I voted for Biden as a stopgap. I hope he does make an executive order for some sort of gun control. No one needs AK-15s, etc. it’s insanity. No reason there shouldn’t be some sort of background checks and/or training required before putting a deadly weapon in possession of a teenager. Don’t even get me started on Roe. I encourage everyone to watch HBO’s The Janes and Haindmaids Tale. Neither side is accomplishing shit as we collectively go backwards and are circling the drain. Most of us aren’t the libtards or the power hungry right. But it’s definitely the trumpers who are the batshit ones of the bunch. Get a clue-Greg Abbott is a perfect example of ruining his home state for POLITICAL POWER AND TRUMP SYCHOPHANTS. Most of the big cities here are blue and due to the gerrymandering our votes don’t even count anymore. It’s pretty fucking depressing and only got worse during the pandemic and mask/covid wars. I had hoped that Darwin’s theory would have taken care of it but hadn’t counted on the CDC fucking up too and TFG tossing the pandemic playbook. I doubt we’ll recover in my lifetime. You can’t argue with crazy or stupid nor can you reason with either. And spare me the repetitive circular rhetoric arguments because I’ve heard them all-verbatim. Maybe that’s the reason it’s taking the DOJ such a long time to hold him accountable. What do you think?

Yes, he egged the crowd on, yes he immediately should have condemned and called them off when they stormed the capitol, yes to all of the things he didn’t/should have done when the crowd did what they did BUT, I thought they were going to show that Trump planned it. Even if he didn’t directly plan it, I think his people fanned the flames among his power base on social media. The constant claims that the election was stolen and January 6th represented a chance to interrupt the process. His delay was calculated to allow as much mayhem as possible to that place. And still, people think he has done nothing. Trump is the Teflon President. We need to hold him responsible at some point. Biden certainly has his issues, I think is too old at this point to operate at peak efficiency. But I don’t think we as a nation can stand anymore of Trump and those with their heads so far up his butt they can’t see.

Why would anyone think the red hats planned everything on their own? They are not the brightest bulbs on the Christmas Tree.

Then-President Donald Trump pressured the Secret Service for two weeks to come up with a plan for him to join his supporters on a march toward the Capitol on January 6, 2021, the Washington Post reported Tuesday, days before a House committee is set to unveil findings from a months-long investigation into the Capitol riot.

A spokeswoman for the deputy mayor of Washington, D.C., who oversees the police department told the Post the Secret Service asked police to assist with a presidential motorcade on the day of the insurrection, but “the response was no.”

After Trump told a crowd of supporters, “We’re going to walk down to the Capitol,” Secret Service agents reached out to D.C. police about securing intersections for a presidential motorcade, witnesses told the House January 6 committee, according to the Post.

Police rebuffed the request as they were preoccupied with monitoring Capitol protests, while a senior law enforcement official told the Post the head of the president’s detail intervened to cancel any such plans because of the safety risk.

Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi confirmed to Forbes that White House staff made proposals to bring the president down to the Capitol on January 6, but the Secret Service communicated such a plan was not feasible and “never produced any operational plan” for Trump to do so.

Transportation agents made “preliminary phone calls” to D.C. police on January 6 in case Trump insisted on joining protesters, Guglielmi said, adding the Secret Service has made every employee available to the January 6 committee and remains “cooperative and supportive of their work.”

“I wanted to go,” Trump told the Post in April in a wide-ranging interview in which he shared regrets about not joining his supporters at the march on January 6. “I wanted to go so badly. Secret Service says you can’t go. I would have gone there in a minute.”

Trump aides first told Tony Ornato, a Secret Service official, in December 2020 that Trump wanted to ride in a motorcade next to protesters marching to the Capitol on January 6, the Post reported, citing witnesses and a senior law enforcement official. Secret Service officials were doubtful they could safely move Trump to the Capitol and Trump’s detail leader ultimately nixed the plan.

But agents were confused when Trump announced on January 6 he would “walk down Pennsylvania Avenue” and go to the Capitol with his supporters, and scrambled to make calls to see if they could secure a route, according to the Post. Trump has continued to deny his role in the Capitol attack, including in an April interview with the Post in which he shifted blame to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) and the mayor of D.C. who he claimed were “in charge” of the building.

He also said he had no regrets about calling on his supporters to come to the capital in a tweet saying it would “be wild.”

Personally I support an age cap of maybe 60. I am praying for a Kamala Harris, Pete Buttiegeg term. I love Pete and voted for him in the primary.

You and me both. Based on context, I am guessing Trump. But I have no idea what it stands for.

The Former Guy. (As Biden himself referred to him as this in one of his first speeches as POTUS and it stuck, lol)

I am very glued to American politics and as a Canadian, sometimes have to do a ton of research to understand the constitution.
Today’s hearing was difficult to watch due to how close people were to being targeted because they followed the law.
The retired Justice that testified today was especially moving. He is a staunch republican and stood by the country.

Not to drag this out, but there is more evidence coming out about SUPREME COURT JUSTICE CLARENCE THOMAS’S WIFE have way more involvement than we thought.

He really needs to resign or be removed.

One of my journalist friends who is very acclaimed Tweeted after this news that his wife does not contribute to campaign or attend events because he is a journalist. It seems like Thomas’s wife went to Trump rallies, the capitol and donated.

Before the hearing, the panel’s chairman said lawmakers were likely to reach out to Ginni Thomas, the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas, after obtaining an email between her and John Eastman, a Trump lawyer.

I DIDN”T KNOW THERE WAS ANOTHER HEARING TODAY. WHAT IF ANYTHING (lol) Was done with Ginni Thomas?
