I am so pissed. Normally, I move this show to a later viewing because I have Survivor and RHOBH in the same time slot. I thought I did that tonight but I apparently just double taped this and forgot to set Survivor to tape. GRRRR. The good news is I get to watch the reunion earlier. So, let’s do a MAFS Boston Recap! Hmmm from the first reunion episode might just be a whole lot of “show highlights.” It’s been five months since they agreed to stay married.
Mark & Lindsey
Mark has lost about 40 pounds since we last saw him. I can see how being married to Lindsey who do that to a guy. On the other hand, these two seem happy together. We shall see. Or maybe not. When Lindsey was asked if the experience was different than what she expected she said yes and that she knew it would be difficult but she didn’t realize she would have to take the reins on three jobs. Mark rolled his eyes and looked pissed.

Oh Lord, here we go with these two. I highly doubt they are still together. I hope for Mark’s sake they are not still together. There body language says they are not still together. They are not together. Mark says they started on renovating the house and the fights got worse. Ward and June Cleaver would probably get in a screaming match during a renovation. They didn’t have the foundation for that task. Mark says they made it through one month and then it was hell. Mark said it was some of the worst arguments he’s ever had in his life. Lindsey said that Mark called it off after she gave up her apartment and someone was moving in that day.
I Can’t With This One
Lindsey was shocked after everything she had supported him through that he was ready to toss her out of the house and change the locks. I am not surprised. Mark said that Lindsey would threaten him and tell him she would take him for all he is worth. That surprises no one. Mark says he was bullied a lot in life and Lindsey is the biggest bully he has ever encountered. Lindsey has written down what she wants to say. She says that basically fixed him and refinished the “three family house”, she got him a job where he is earning the highest salary of his life. She says her life is not better for knowing him but his life is. Because of her “Lindsey Magic.”

I hope that next week, she gets some grief for this ridiculous display. While I agree she was there for Mark in multiple critical situations. But, helping someone is not about receiving praise. Helping is something people do when they are in a place to help. Because they want to help. Lindsey has move to California and has a new job and a new condo. She says that she moved to Palo Alto to be in a place that there were more men with intellect. Kevin points out that is a dig to Mark. She doubles down and says he does not have intellect. She says she doesn’t want to be he smartest person in the relationship. She is dating. Mark is not ready to date yet. He is working toward being a firefighter. Lindsey doesn’t want to be a friend to Mark anymore. She’s so mean.
Chris & Alyssa
Chris looks miserable sitting next to Alyssa. I hope they hold her feet to the fire and she leaves in tears. Or better yet, remember that scene from Game of Thrones where everyone was screaming SHAME! SHAME! SHAME? Something like that. The first unseen footage is from Alyssa who lies to everyone and then lies some more on the show. The second couple to meet with the host along is Chris and the cunt. Before, they start Alyssa tries to do repair some PR damage. She basically says she came into this for the right reasons. Bullshit. She had a hissy fit right after the wedding and treated Chris like shit. There is a really awful person every season, usually it is a male. But, this season it is her.

The host, Kevin, asks if her statement means she wishes she would have given him a chance. She says no and that the whole experience was horrible, FOR HER. Chris said he didn’t know half of the horrible things she said until he watched the show. Alyssa says she never wants to hurt people’s feelings. She is trying so hard not to say she is a good person because everyone makes fun of her for that because she is a horrible human. So she is now claiming that it was her “mental state” that made her act that way. She keeps lying. She was there for the show. I am so furious that Chris has to sit next to him this long. Then, she says her plans for the future are to…wait for it…TRY TO BE A GOOD PERSON.
Katina & Olajuwon
I love Katina’s short hair. And not just because it helps me keep the couples straight. These two are the first couple to have their two on one with the host. We move on to Olajuwon and his eleventy billion rules to be a wife. Olajuwon has relaxed his views on what a wife must do. Olajuwon proposes with a nice ring and she cries. They seem to be very much in love. She tells him she loves him for the first time. They are best friends and seem very happy. The want a child, and a house with a white picket fence and a dog in five years. He sold his how and “Isaac” is gone and he has left everything about that lifestyle behind. He’s a family man now.
Jasmina and Michael
Next we have Jasmina and Michael. Hopefully they will be the palette cleanser after that Alyssa drama. Jamina is so beautiful. I think both Jasmina and Katina would normally be out of their husband’s leagues. These two argue over whether or not Michael was “aggressive.” Michael kind of stopped talking to him after that for about a month after they married. This doesn’t sound good. Jasmina was done with him a couple of times. They say that one of their assignments helped them getting over their issues. It was their turning point.

At the beginning they couldn’t stand each other. But, the assignment really changed that. They are NOT still together. Michael broke up with Jas two and a half weeks after decision day by phone. That kind of makes me said. Michael says that after decision day, he didn’t feel like she wanted it to work. She wasn’t putting in the effort. Since Michael had to call her to break up, I assume they were not living together. Jasmine says she felt like she did put in the work because she TEXTED him every single day. She says he planned one night to come to her house. The got into a huge argument. After that, when he called her to ask for divorce she agreed with him. The bottom line is she has no feelings for him and she friendzoned him. Kevin points out that she needs to romance her.
I wish these two would have made it. 🙁
Noi & Steve
These two seem to have a grudge with Lindsey after Noi told her in confidence when she consummated her marriage and she “ran straight to a producer” and blabbed. Finally, these two come out to chat with Kevin. Steve comes out in a very expensive looking suit. I just wish he would have straightened his tie. I keep trying to tell y’all that he has money. He just never wanted to marry him for his money. Let’s see how they are doing. They are still together. But, Noi has changed her name to Noi Moi just yet. Why not? I love that! They have moved in together. However, she has kept her apartment. She sleeps there about one day a week. WTF? Steve is fine with it.

On to the money talk. Noi said on the aftershow that if he had $40K in the bank, she would be fine with that. Kevin asks exactly how much is in Steve’s bank account. He doesn’t say but he did invest in crypto early and has other investments as well as savings. So Noi is just fine with him now. They want a child within the next year. Noi seems to be a bit more flexible about having three. Let’s she what she thinks after she has had one. Noi’s sister Siracha comes out on stage. She is fine with the marriage and they need to work on communication. She also thinks Steve needs to work on not being condescending.
Noi seems like she has matured A LOT since the show. They are in counseling for help with communication. They seem happy.
Next week: It it seems like things get even worse. And Alyssa continues to insist she is a good person. Jesus take the wheel.
Lyndsey was horrible to Mark on the solo couple interview. I am glad that they are not still together. I feel bad for Michael and Jasmina-I was hoping they could get out of the friend zone. I am glad that Noi has figured out (sort of(that a JOB isn’t necessary to make $$. Although Siracha doesn’t seem to understand the difference yet.
O and Katina seem happy although the previews for next week look dicey.
Chris and that “I’m a Nice Person” witch are ….well, I can’t even come up with words! Glad that Chris got out of it intact!
TT, thank you for the recap. I’m happy for Katina and olajuwon. I was rooting for them so I’m glad he is working on himself and appreciates Katina. Someone was cutting onions when these two were on, or maybe it was my allergies acting up .
Mark got rid of Lindsey, as expected. He’s too good for her. She is delusional– thinking the nice things she’s done to help him erases her cruel and destructive behavior. She nearly broke her arm patting herself on the back. Good riddance to her. All the best to Mark.
Jasmina and Michael- no surprise.
Noi has changed her attitude now that she knows Steve is loaded. Smart girl.
Alyssa was doing her PR speech, no one is buying it. She showed her true colors early and often.
Lindsey’s like the gift that keeps on giving.
Here’s an analogy, Teresa (RHONJ), 😉:
It’s like Lindsey has a vase full of expensive roses & a stink bomb in it delivered to Mark.
After he reads her note, the stink bomb goes off and stinks up everything. The nice surprise was ruined by the stink.
Mark’s pissed because he can’t get the stink off him or his house. Lindsey thinks Mark’s ungrateful for her gift.
Lindsey says, “but I gave you flowers! Not just ANY flowers, expensive roses!”
She can’t smell the stink she keeps delivering to everyone in her life.
I still wish Katina would dump Olajuwon. I think he will destroy her. On the other hand, I would watch a show with Noi’s family starring Siracha..
I love watching body language and Mark and Chris could not get further away from Lindsey and Alyssa if they had tried ha ha. It was so uncomfortable to watch.
I thought when Jasmina and Michael came out and sat so close to each other that they had turned the corner and sparks had finally flown. I’m sad that I was so wrong!!
I wonder if the fortune teller will be right about cause in a regretting letting Mike go; and they get together in 5 years. Time will tell.
**Jasmina not cause
Why bother with Alyssa no copability whatsoever. Love that Chris and the producers read her for filth! I’m a good person!!!!
I was more surprised by Jasmina saying yes then her no. Kudos for Michael standing up for himself and stepping back for that month. I completely read him wrong. Can’t force attraction still had small glimmer of hope they would make it.
I remember all the comments about Olajuwon. I had a different perspective he was poorly communicating. His delivery was awful. But i did like when he said watching the show helped him grow. That he did!
The rest are the rest. Lindsay and Mark…
Putting it here: now that LAL is over for now. Who is watching Momma June from hot to not? I know its crappy trainwreck. But I will admit it I watched Honey Boo Boo. Any takers?? The first episode was good!
I’m watching Momma June! I need to see this train wreck til the end.
I never even watched this season, just read your recaps. Honestly I just came here for your Survivor recap, because I missed that to record AUS version, grrr indeed!! I’m a bit shocked to see Noi and her man stayed. Lindsey from your recaps wow, they just sucked as a couple. So the show still had a lousy record as usual.
I Screwed up my DVR last night and Survivor didn’t tape. I haven’t seen it yet.
Survivor was great. Can’t wait to hear your take.
When Mark was talking about being bullied a lot growing up, and Lindsey was his worse one, it broke my heart. He may have his problems, but he doesn’t deserve to be treated that way. I hope he finds someone who can be his shelter from the storm, not the tempest itself.
I haven’t watched the reunion just yet. This show has gotten so exhausting and downright triggering from some of the abusive behavior, it has become hard to watch.
I’m shocked any of the couples said yes so I’m not surprised to hear about the ones who are divorcing. Lindsey is just cruel. She really needs therapy. I find it hard to believe Olajuwan has changed. But we’ll see I guess. Jasmina never liked Michael. I could tell at the wedding.
This show has started focusing too much on the drama and aren’t showing enough happy times. So when couples decide to stay together, viewers are seriously scratching their heads. The show was a helpful too for me when the “experts” were actually involved.
