It’s been a rough day over here. I’m hoping that this RHONJ recap will take my mind off of all that is going on. Fortunately, we still have power. Banjo is doing a bit better, but sadly the time for the bad thing is very near.
Teresa is packing up her house to move her children in with Louie and his kids in a house they bought together. This is one of Teresa’s worst ideas. Dolores should tell her she needs a commitment (and a criminal background check) before moving in. But, when she drops by she doesn’t mention anything about her moving too fast. Teresa and the girls get emotional about leaving the house they shared with Joe Gorga.
Meanwhile, Melissa and Joe have a small pool party with their kids and invite Traci and Tiki and their daughter. Melissa takes Antonia to work out with a personal trainer to help her knee heal.
Jackie has been tasked by her therapist to have ice cream when she takes her kids out for ice cream. She actually eats some of it. Turns out, it is kind of fun to eat ice cream. Jackie goes back to therapy. She tells the therapist that she had a hard time eating the ice cream and not compensating but not eating something else. She is still counting calories. She balks at the idea of taking the kids for pizza.
Wow, this story about Marge senior fleeing Hungry is very reminiscent of the current situation in Ukraine. Margaret is having a birthday party for Marge senior’s 75th birthday. Everyone is invited except for Teresa. Margaret and Marge senior arrive at the party in advance and both have rollers in their hair. The event site is really nice. The guys are all anticipating Bill showing up since they are kind of on the outs with him. Margaret’s Joe begs them not to get into it with Bill at the party. So, they will totally get into it with them at the party.
Bill arrives and Joe Gorga is immediately aggressive. But, it seems to blow over quickly. So far so good. Could we possibly have a drama free episode? The wives discuss going to Nashville. Nashville tourism must pay production a lot for focusing on their city. I feel like all the franchises are going to Nashville. The girls start trashing Teresa. Dolores stand up for Teresa. But, things go well, and we see a tribute to Marge senior and everyone lifts a glass to celebrate her birthday. This was a very tame episode. Jennifer realizes she has more in common with Margaret than she thought. I’m shocked that we made it through an episode of RHONJ without a screaming match. It looks like we will make up for that next week when Teresa is back in the mix.
