Killing Eve Recap: Oh Goodie I’m The Winner

April 4, 2022 by tamaratattles 5 Comments

ThenKilling Eve RecapI’m off to a late start but I’m going to try to get this Killing Eve Recap up ASAP. I’m already confused during the recap of the previous episode. I don’t think I saw the note that Constantin gave her before she got shot by an arrow. It read, “Her Name is Gunn Feasgar Island.” What kind of name is that? Maybe her name is Gunn and she lives on Feasgar Island?

Dueling (ex) Lovers Quarrels

We begin at Konstantin’s hotel room where Eve has taken Villanelle to get some help for the whole arrow situation. Pam is there and trying her best to help get the arrow out and save Villanelle who is alive and talking. She wants Eve to leave. Instead, Eve holds her hand while Pam yanks the arrow out. Konstantin says that it looks like Gunn got to her first. Why would he think that? Eve thinks this is about Helene punishing her. Villanelle tells her to get over herself. Later, we see Eve sitting in a chair by Villanelle’s bed with a worried expression. Villanelle wakes up and tells Eve to go away. Eve helps her put on a shirt. Then, Villanelle leaves.

Meanwhile, Lars, (aka Johann) has Caroline at his cabin as an unwelcome visitor. She claims to be warning him that someone is out to get him. However, he doesn’t trust her. I mean she already tried to kill him once. She offers him a deal. She will tell him who is trying to kill him if he will tell her who ordered her son’s death. I kind of believed Konsantin’s story that Kenny fell off the roof when he was backing away from Konstantin. Lars asks Carolyn to make her a cup of tea with two sugars. Carolyn tells Lars that it is Helene who is coming after him. But, is that true? Lars tells Carolyn that he well call Helene and ask to meet with her. But, he wants Carolyn to be the one to show up.

Killing Eve RecapPam Wants To Get Down To Business

Pam tells Konstantin she is ready for her first hit. Konstantin tries to talk her out of it but she says she is ready. She thinks what happened to Villanelle won’t happen to her. Meanwhile, Eve has chased Villanelle down on a grocery store scooter on a walkway on the sea wall. Eve tries to get Villanelle to help her find Lars. Villanelle wants nothing to do with her. She has “her own stuff to do.” She leaves the scooter for Villanelle and walks back the way she came. On her walk back she gets a call from Yusuf and she tells him Carolyn is part of the twelve and has been lying to her all along. Duh!

Next we see Villanelle stopped somewhere to rest. A woman asks if she is okay. Villanelle says it’s just a headache. The woman gives her a box of painkillers and leaves. When Villanelle opens the box, there is an not inside that said, “H wants you dead, I don’t.” It also gives the location of Helene’s hotel in Berlin. And it is signed, “Gunn.” Villanelle calls Eve to tell her that Helene is also in Berlin where Caroline and Lars are.

Killing Eve RecapPam Gets Her First Assignment

It seems Pam has her first assignment as an assassin, and the target is Fernanda, Helene’s former lover who is allegedly searching for her missing husband. Meanwhile it seems she has taken a job as a sign twirler for a restaurant. Maybe her restaurant? Who knows? Apparently, this is all going down in London. Fernanda thinking she is working for the restaurant passing out handbills to advertise. Fernanda is is very sweet to Pam.

Pam calls Konstantin asking if he is sure he has the right person because she is very nice. She wants to know what she did. Konstantin says they do not get that information, they just do as they are told. He tells her this is what she signed up for and she and either quit or make the kill.Pam goes forward with her plan to kill Fernanda. But, she is very emotional and there is a lengthy struggle. Pam thanks her for being kind to her and then she kills her via lethal injection.

Later, Pam meets up for lunch with Konstantin, but she can’t eat. As Konstantin is counseling her, the guy from the Carnival shows up. Apparently they are eating at a roller rink and the kid is skating. She tells him she is business and sends him away. Konstantin tells her life is miserable, go have a little fun. She waits for him to leave the restroom and he gruffly tells her he won’t bother him again. She grabs him and kisses him. They make out.

Killing Eve Recap
Meanwhile, Back in Berlin

Carolyn goes by the old meet up place for the original twelve. Helene appears to also be outside in a car. Is this where Carolyn is going to meet Helene in place of Lars? The two sit down to talk. Helene asks Carolyn if she is with the twelve or not. Carolyn asks why she is targeting Lars. Helene asks Carolyn why she is doing his dirty work. She replies, “How do you know he is not doing mine?” Helene wants to know who Lars’ superior is in the twelve. She says he can give it to he willingly or she can take it by force. Then, Helene basically points out that her father was Carolyn’s father’s lover. They bond briefly, and then after one more threat by Helene toward Lars they part ways. Then, Eve shows up at the meeting place. How did she know where Helene would be?

Carolyn reports the bad news to Lars and he throws a temper tantrum and says he will blow his own brains out before the betrays anyone to “that bitch.” Carolyn finds the whole scene embarrassing. She asks for a name. He says he will tell her who killed Kenny. He says she did it. She didn’t pull the trigger but she killed him nonetheless. Carolyn is unmoved. She asks him for a name again. He storms off the porch.

Villanelle, Eve and Helene Come Together

Jodie Comer as Villanelle – Killing Eve _ Season 4, Episode 6 – Anika Molnar/BBCA

Next, we see Helene in her hotel room talking on the phone to Gunn. She tells Gunn she is worried about her. Gunn tells her she will do better. Helene tells her that she has faith that she will. Then, when she hangs up the phone, she calls her an idiot. The phone rings and Helene says, “Good. Let’s have Pam do it. It will be a challenge.” Then Helene sits down on her bed. The camera pans down and we see Villanelle under the bed with a knife in her hand. Just when Villanelle was about to cut Helene’s feet off, (a tribute to Helene fetish for feet during killings) Eve knocks on the door.

Eve demands to know what she was talking to Carolyn about. Helene makes a snide comment about Villanelle having a “lucky escape.” Helene says that Eve has kissed her and now she shows up at her hotel. She asks Eve what she wants from her. Eve wants to know where Carolyn is. Helene is sitting on the bed again. This time Villanelle slices both of her Achilles tendon’s open. But, Helene is still coming after Villanelle. Now there is a three way fight. Helene throws the knife at Eve and tells her to kill Villanelle. Eve sort tosses the knife at Villanelle. Villanelle gets the knife back and Helene tells her to “make it glorious. Villanelle slits her throat. Then, Villanelle calmly walks out the door. Eve asks where she is going. Villanelle replies, I’m done with you.

Pam Isn’t The Only One Getting Her First Kill This Episode

Eve gets a call from Yusuf saying that Carolyn used a taxi to get to Berlin. So now Eve has a lead on Caroline’s whereabouts. But, what is her point on tracking down Carolyn? Just to confront her about being in the twelve the whole time? Why doesn’t she tell him that Villanelle just killed Helene? She tracks down the taxi driver right away. He’s willing to talk, but for some reason she has sit through a bizarre num-chuks display. Both cab drivers are super weird. Eve finds Carolyn on the porch of Lars cabin. Carolyn tries to wave her off but Eve keeps approaching.

Eve tells Carolyn she knows she has been a member of the twelve all along. Carolyn says no she was not, she was infiltrating the group to gain information. Eve doesn’t believe her. Carolyn says they are both on the same side, she is just doing a better job of it than Eve. She begs Eve to go and let her finish getting information from Lars. I guess that explains why she was trying to kill Lars in the first place. Carolyn says she is “this close” to finding out who killed Kenny. I don’t even care who killed Kenny anymore. Eve agrees to leave without mentioning that Helene is dead.

Remote Locations Apparently Aren’t That Remote

Carolyn goes back into the cabin with Lars. He seems to be coming on to her. Carolyn just wants a name. Then suddenly, Eve storms into the cabin with a gun and starts shooting at Lars. Why don’t producers of this show ever know what side the heart is on? But somehow, Eve has her first kill. Carolyn responds with “Well done, you’ve killed him. They’ll just replace him again and again.” That’s the third murder of the episode. Eve leaves and Carolyn pulls a small book out of Lars’ pants. Why not take his cell phone?

We see Villanelle rowing out to Feasgar Isand. She finds Gunn walking through the woods carrying a sheep on her shoulder. Villanelle greets her with, “Hey! My back hurts!” WTF? Then, they have an epic fist fight. They both fall off a cliff together and start laughing hysterically. Then Villanelle asks, “Can I stay here?” And there it ends. Thoughts?

Pam is a tragic figure, despite her smarts she was belittled and abused by her brother (and possibly her wider family).

I feel as though Pam hesitating to kill Fernanda shows her moral side, perhaps she isn’t a psycopath but a victim of abuse, she kills to feel like she’s worthy of love.

I’m sort of left wondering with Lars and Helene now dead who could be the ominous leader behind The Twelve.

The ending with Gunn and Villanelle is strange.

Also, did you catch a glimpse of jealous rage in Villanelle when Eve walked into the room and Helene brought up their intimacy ? I think that gave Villanelle more desire to kill Helene

Eve chasing down Villanelle on the scooter might’ve been the best thing ever, until she warned Villanelle about the brakes and Villanelle rode away so pissed off. She makes the best faces! The fight with V and Gunn was so good. Is Pam going to shoot Villanelle next week? I really don’t want her to die…

There are TWO episodes left. However Wikipedia has them both listed to are next week. That will be problematic. I want Pam to run off with the Carny and work with him on the boardwalk. 🙂 I think it will all end with Eve and Villanelle dying in the same mutual combat, or running away somewhere to live happily ever after. But, this is not a happily ever after show.

I also just saw the ratings for this show over the season. It’s horrible how such a fantastic series gets less views than the housewives. 🙁

Next week is a double episode. And that’s it, I guess. It’s so silly but this show has weirdly been so important to me, we were so excited during quarantine when they put it on early. I’m really going to miss it. I hope at the very least we get one more amazing dress for V. You’re right, I should know better than to hope for a happy ending but, I really don’t want to see Pam embalming her and putting her in the iconic pink dress. That’s so sad about the ratings! I think maybe because it’s on bbc and amc it’s gotten screwed up? People are really missing out.

Thanks for recap TT. I saw Gunn and Villanelle breaking free of their kill without asking questions assassin roles. Gunn not wanting to kill Villanelle for H as she probably respects Villanelle. Villanelle killing the arsehole firefighter husband of the cook and then realising she can kill who she wants to before killing for anymore people. The pulling the arrow out of her back scene drove me nuts that arrow head would have tore strips through her being yanked out and done allot of damage. Anyway I know it’s only TV ha ha. Villanelle did seem like she was in a jealous rage about Eve and Helene and I think hearing the intimacy they shared prompted the “I’m done with you” to Eve. But I believed her it made what Eve and Villanelle have seem tainted and not as special anymore. I’m getting over Covid my brain can’t think what is going to happen. I think Konstantin will have some part in it. Maybe someone will come back from the dead “Kenny” I know he was pushed off a building can’t remember how dead he seemed. I’m reaching. I just don’t think that whoever is at the top will be an unknown character. Are we expected to believe Pam is going to be a match for Villanelle. I’m kind of over Eve a bit too this season.
