It’s time for another Below Deck Sailing Yacht recap. It is a bit of a rough day over here. Banjo needs a lot of attention today, so I’m kind of in a hurry to get to American Idol, Banjo’s favorite show. So I am going to try to just zip through this.
It’s time for a new group of guests. We have three couples and the primaries are realtors. But first, we have to deal with the Tom situation. Tom knows his ass is on the line, so he sits down for a chat with Gary to try to feel out the situation. Maybe instead he could be doing some work? I’m just saying. Gary explains that he fucked up royally on anchor watch and that it is not something that will just blow over. Gary says that he needs to talk to Captain Glenn about all of that. Tom doesn’t seem to realize that his fuck up could have completely wrecked the boat.
It’s About Tom…
After we get out of the dock, Captain Glenn is sitting at the wheel, and Tom is right next to him talking to Colin. The discussion is about Ashely. Tom thinks Ashley owes him an apology. Glenn thinks Tom needs to get off his ass and get to work. Captain Glenn suggests that he go look at the work he is supposed to be doing. Tom seems shocked by the request. Then, Captain Glenn as to point out once again what Tom is supposed to be doing. Glenn is pissed that Tom is not even trying to redeem himself and show that he has any value on the boat. Gary goes around flirting with the girls.
Ashley is really pissed that Gabriella and Gary hooked up. She does a whole interview with production about how she could have already fucked Gary. Literally any girl from any crew could fuck Gary. He will literally screw anyone. You are not that big of a deal, Ashley. She says she doesn’t usually “lose.” In my opinion sleeping with Gary kind of makes you a loser. But, this is becoming a competition for Ashley. Then, Glenn calls on shore (production) asking for another deckhand. Tom is toast. Meanwhile, Tom is doing pullups.
It’s Dinner Time!
The guests requested a Spanish theme dinner. So, one of the guests is dressed as a matador. The guests are loving the food. Colin and Gary talk about what a crap job Tom did that way. Colin feels sorry for him because he’s clearly going to get fired. Meanwhile, in a rare Kelsie sighting, Captain Glenn trains Kelsie on anchor watch. Katie is very confident. At four am Kelsie work up Gary to double check that they were very close to some rocks. During breakfast the next day the crew tries to come some sort of talent for the talent show. Meanwhile, Captain Glenn gets a text saying they have a new deckhand for him AFTER the quarantine period. He asks for the replacement’s CV to be sent over. It sounds like this will be Tom’s last cruise.
Captain Glenn calls Tom in for a talk. He tells him this will be his final charter. He’d literally rather be a man down for a bit than have Tom who actually causes more problems and does nothing. Tom makes excuses for himself claiming he has a lot on his mind with his friend’s father dying. You can still pick up a shammy though, right? You are not a passenger on this boat. Oh he is kicking him off in one hour! He is not even letting him finish the charter.
Afterward, Tom mutters to himself, “this is the lowest I’ve ever been.” Meanwhile the interior seems happy for him to leave. Tom calls his mommy. Captain Glenn tells the department heads and asks Colin to help out on deck. Tom goes on an apology tour with Ashley and the other girls. Marcos is so nice to everyone. He was very sweet to Tom and then went to check on Ashley.
Finally, The Sails Go Up!
Wow! We find out that Gabriella is a professional salsa dancer. She might just save the talent show. Suddenly, the guests want to do all the things. So, Gary gets no break. Chef Marcos is making a huge seafood dinner. But then, he and Gabby disagree on whether she told him the guests were seated. She says she did and footage seems to back that up. He has a TON of raw seafood to cook. But everything goes out just fine. Then it is talent show time. It came out pretty good. Captain Glenn told funny jokes. Colin sang a song and played guitar. Gary strips for the tip. The guests loved it!
The next morning the guests get up very early. Gabriella is late to get up. So now Gary is pissed that Kelsie had to serve a few cups of coffee. So he and Daisy get in a disagreement. Next week looks like more drama on the boat and more bad weather. Thanks for reading!
