Sorry for the delay in this week’s open forum. There was oddly a lot of things to report on this weekend. You know I usually take Friday and/or Saturday “off” which means there is no pressure on me to get something up and I can just do what I feel like doing. But, it has turned out to be very busy in a good way.
Right now I am watching the Celebrity Big Brother recap show. They are actually picking up right after the eviction. It’s better than I thought so far. I’ll update in comments here.
I’m also taping Caught In His Web right now on Lifetime. I meant to tell you guys about this sooner but things got busy. Garcelle Beauvais is the lead and it is about a high school guy who is extorting female students on the Internet. She is the investigator. She wears pretty much no makeup. I can’t wait to watch later. Meanwhile, I’m going back to the Big Brother comments. That post is way bigger than the Jen Armstrong legal drama that I thought would blow up. Also, I’m sad that the Black History Month post get so very few views. I do appreciate those of you who read those.
That’s it from me for now. What’s going on in you neck of the woods?
Watching caught in his web now. So far so good. I love Garcelle. 40 minutes into the movie and liking it so far.
I have been waiting for this movie to come on. Garcelle is absolutely beautiful with no makeup. Great movie. She has more talent in her pinky than any of her housewives costars put together.
I’m 14 minutes in and already have a suspect, but I am keeping it to myself because I don’t want any spoilers here. But this is a GOOOOOD movie.
How do I find the Black History Month post you mention above? I would like to read it, thank you.
Thank you Betsy! Here is the link and in that post there is a link to many, many others. https://tamaratattles.com/2022/02/19/black-history-month-spotlight-matthew-henson/
I love your Black History Month posts and read them and mostly cry. I haven’t been able to catch up. Sadly, our local BOE budget meeting dissolved into racist name calling and our superintendent being threatened and called an N lover along with being screamed at about “tax payers paying for the education of the illegals”. All I wanted to do was find out how my son with autism could stay in school another year because he’s aging out and missed out on the wonderful program they have because of COVID. I was stunned. But I had to listen to a mother say how traumatized her typical daughter is at 6 years old from wearing a mask and it’s my Board of Education’s fault, apparently. Who knew 🙄. I really hate people. They don’t want critical race theory taught. No surprise, it might show the imbalances and racism that exist in our community. I want a Black History year. I feel horrible and disgusted and dirty and can’t imagine how POC in my community feel.
I love the Black History posts. Keep them coming
xo Marc
Thanks you guys. I’m a bit in my feels tonight because Banjo is having a bit of a difficult day. Basically, neither one of us is very good at getting up the two or three stairs to house. But he is still eating well and drinking a lot so I just gave him some CBD Oil that Nanette sent him. It gives him diarrhea. I’m fine with that he can pee and poop anywhere he wants to at this point.
Anyway, my reason for this comment is to tell you guys how much I appreciate all of you. I’ve made friends for life here. I have people who check on me and support me even when I am being a bitch at times. I don’t know how I got so lucky but I feel like all of us, even those of you who don’t comment here are my chosen family, I just wanted you all to know how grateful I am for all of you.
TT you are as much of a life saver to more of us than you probably realize as we are to you. I will be having the worse possible day ever, and then I get the email and it’s a post from you. It has saved me more time’s than not, thank you. We all love you and Banjo and look forward to you every day. ❤
That is sweet to say. But you guys are what gets me through hard times. I often feel all alone and you guys always show up. I am grateful that I have you all and very happy that I mean something to you as well and I can make a bad day better. xo ~tt
Had one of the worst weeks of my life last week. Everything still feels surreal, but I’m here. Sometimes, you just can’t help people no matter how much you love them.
It’s nice to see people drawing strength from a pretty decent group of people. There is so much negativity everywhere now, it’s refreshing. We all have problems, but it’s an outlet I appreciate. Thanks.
Sorry for you bad week Sam. We’re a pretty good bunch here, at least most of the time. 🙂 And we care a lot about people we have never met. It’s a good thing. Vent all you need too.
Thought the movie was good. Hope for more of these type of lifetime movies in the future over the sugar baby ones.
Yay for Garcelle.
Love ya TT. I started your site when the Apollo Nida news was breaking. DId you see he walked in Sherees show?
We don’t always agree but your do an awesome job on this site. We get it when you need breaks. We want you to be okay.
Prayers for you and Banjo. <3
I did not but I did hear that the finale is Sheree’s joggers and apparently, the suits were impressed. UGH.
Oh and I had a spy who lived on the same street as Phaedra and Apollo who was telling me everything that was happening in real time.
You spoke my thoughts and feelings, thank you. TT, I love the Black History Month posts-they are meaningful and greatly appreciated (& loved).
