I always PLAN to do to a Black History Spotlight each day in February, but I am already off to a late start. So expect them intermittently. Sadly they don’t get nearly the page views that RHOA posts do. I think that is a shame. We need more women doing great things and less women brawling on TV for dollars.
I wanted to start with a 23 year old brilliant poet, Amanda Gorman. I am a huge Maya Angelou fan and mourned her loss a great deal. But, when Amanda Gorman spoke at Joe Biden’s inauguration it felt like a modern reincarnation. I fell in love with her immediately and have been following her as time allows ever sense. She is hope for the future. Her poetry, especially when she recites it fills my soul with hope and my eyes with tears.

I cry every time.

I’m pretty sure I’ve read each and every one but I can’t be sure. I enjoy reading all of the posts with substance almost as much as the recaps of the vapid felons and friends.
It’s beautiful and powerful!
What a wonderful talent in such a young person. The power of the pen is boundless! Thank you for sharing. I pray for change In this country. I pray for all humankind!

And she is just 23 years old! She always leaves me speechless.
Thank you for highlighting Amanda for black history month. I can’t get enough of her speaking. Give her a show! She is PURE light and love in this dark world. She is brilliant.
She reminds me of St Francis of Assisi.” Lord make me an instrument of peace.
Where there is hatred let me sol love. Where there is the injury pardon. Where there a stout faith. Where there is despair home. Where there is starkness light. Where there is sadness Joy”…
Keep it coming TT
Crap so many autocorrect mistakes. My mistake. Sorry TT.
Let me try again.
“Lord make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there’s hatred, let me sow love. Where there’s injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, Joy…” It is a beautiful song and everyone should sing it, to help heal this world.
