Let’s See How Your 2022 Will Go… Let Me Be Your Allison Dubois!

January 2, 2022 by tamaratattles 139 Comments

Happy 2022? Well we shall see. I just saw something on Twitter as I am TRYING to go back to bed, and as we all know, everything on Twitter is FACTS.  So,  Here is how to know how 2022 will treat you this year. Figure out the year you turned twenty-two. Then Google #1 song of that year. The title will tell your 2022 fortune. You’re welcome, and please share your fortune in comments.  Mine is sort of good news for me and bad news for you. My song is That’s What Friends Are For” Dionne and Friends (Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder). It’s a great song. But it means I’ll be leaning on y’all again all year. Or perhaps a better way of looking at it as we will all be leaning on each other again this this year. And, I’m good with that. I think this bodes well for all of us. Sometimes our chosen little family here is better than the blood ones. Even if we do fight and get pissed at each other from time to time.

We have the cantankerous ones (like me), the easily offended, the ones struggling with horrendous situations, the ones making changes for the better, the ones with health issues both physical and mental (also me) and the ones going through crazy things that need our help. In other words… God bless us everyone.

Thanks to everyone for their support in 2021. As we move into 2022, let’s always remember whatever ever is going on in “the real world” we have an Internet family here.  And hopefully it will get even bigger with more new people, because we are an inclusive group where everyone is welcome. Well you know, if they can follow the commenting rules. And um if you can tolerate my whining from time to time. I’ll try and do better, but don’t hold your breath. 🙂 But y’all are welcome to complain as well!

I am dying to know what all of your songs are.

y’all are killing this old lady with Prince and Whitney. When Prince died I had to go to the grocery story I was HEART BROKEN and that was an understatement. I could not understand how everyone was still going on with regular daily things. My former good friend who was lived next door and then went off the deep end painted his mailbox purple. He died of apparent self inflicted situations a bit later.

depending on what list you look at, also mentioned is “Living on a Prayer”, “Walk Like an Egyptian” and “I wanna Dance with Somebody” , by Bon Jovi, The Bangles and Whitney Houston. I prefer the songs from the first 10 years of my life, but except for Rick Astley (where is he now?), they arent bad.

Thank you so much Tamara. Sane is a relative term, but I have a very good therapist. Now I look back I dont know how I did it, and before he even left the hospital I had to put my cat to sleep and I did it, and I dont even know how, just that it sucked. He is doing well, thankfully, and some things are better than they ever were. I still went to 7 funerals this past year, which I think is a new record for me, but I am just going to have to keep looking at the good things when I can. As always, thankful for you

Sometimes we need to say goodbye to people.

I love that song! It just means getting rid of relationships that bring you down. Is there someone toxic you need to get rid of in 2022? It’s about shedding people who no longer serve a purpose in your life. You will be fine and BRAND NEW if you just get rid of the toxic people in you life. That is all the song is about.

The top 10 for the year were – and I’ll take a few of them as positive:

That’s What Friends Are For – Dionne Warwick,Elton John, and Gladys Knight
Say You,Say Me – Lionel Richie
    I Miss You – Klymaxx
On My Own – Patti Labelle and Michael McDonald

That Alison Dubois debacle episode was the VERY FIRST RH show I had ever seen!

My sister INSISTED I watch the rerun because THE SUCCUBUS had been dramatically smoking a black electronic cigarette. If I had seen RHOBH before the Succubus smoking, I would have been laughing uncontrollably. Mom was dying and we all were a mess, near hysteria.

I was very upset because I had LOVED Alison Dubois! Then Duh! I did not love Alison Dubois, I loved Patricia Arquette AS Alison Dubois! Similar to how upset I’ve been about SJP, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon coming out against Chris Noth. DUH! I have been seeing it as the SATC ladies against Mister Big! Not the same thing!

I have recently stolen the word SUCCUBUS from Nanette to explain what happened to my favorite sibling after he married the fucking SUCCUBUS and sort of transformed into the male Nene “I’m Rich, Bitch” Leakes. I still remember when he was a good person who loved me. Now he just sort of tries to go through the motions. He does have some nice kids though.

Number one song in August of 19.., Roll With It by Steve Winwood. Excellent advice as I usually roll with it. Happy New Year, here’s to getting back to what we consider normal.

Happy New Year everyone! The top song for my 22ND year was Sugar, Sugar by the Archie’s (I’m old). How the hell do I interpret that?! The top song for my birthday week was In The Year 2525.

Don’t feel bad LurkLady. I got the same top song for the year. For my birthday it was either Everyday People by Sly & the Family Stone or Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In by The 5th Dimension.

Oops! I guess I do not win the Methuselah Tiara.

The first time I heard Everyday People was at SF Winterland NYE 1969-1970.

Bill Graham was a genius at putting bands together. I had never heard of Sly & the Family Stone, from nearby Oakland.

A carload of us Deadheads (before the term was coined) sang Everyday People the whole way home!

I turned 22 in December of 1971. The song that was #1 then was Family Affair by Sly and the Family Stone. There will be a family wedding in July that l am not attending. Hmm. The number 1 song for the year 1971 that came up was Maggie May/Reason to Believe by Rod Stewart. I love that song! Saw Rod Stewart several times in concert back then. Fun game, Tamara!

Hey all you young whippersnappers! I win the Methuselah Tiara!

I had to look for the #1 country song too! Because I was A LOT country and A LOT rock and roll! And this was when Gram Parsons and the New Riders of the Purple Sage were bringing those two worlds together. (Also the Year Parsons died on my 22nd birthday.)

Rock (sort of): Tie a Yellow Ribbon ‘Round the Old Oak Tree, Tony Orlando & Dawn – love the message, not the song
Country: (Hey, Did You Happen to See) The Most Beautiful Girl, Charlie Rich – love the singer and the song

For 2022, I guess some long lost love will get out of prison or I will meet a blind guy who will cheat on me and want me back (the story of my life, without the guy being blind).

I had dozens of comments in moderation when I woke up. And no you are not in WLS, but links are “not allowed” so they go to moderation and for the sake of this post, I put them all through. Very fitting, pretty sure my marriage has not survived 2021.
On a lighter note, numerologically speaking we are entering a 6 year (2+0+2+2) which is all about harmony and FAMILY (including online families 🥰). For the record 2021 was a 5 year (change and chaos) and 2020 was a four year which rules health! The planets are much more harmonious this year than the past two so we should be in for a less big pile of shit 🤞🤞. Happy New Year to all y’all from the cold and snowy north!
