RHOBH Filming Halted Due To Covid Outbreak!

December 13, 2021 by tamaratattles 42 Comments

Is it me are is this bitch still using the glam squad?

Sorry for the delay in this report, I was up very late checking on our friend LA_In_Kentucky. She lives very close to the tornados and I haven’t been able to get ahold of her. She’s fine but she was without power until last night. Banjo’s um, incontinence is being affected by my poor sleep schedule as I slept like the dead and he can’t wake me up. So I slept in today and um, had a lot of mess to clean up.

BREAKING NEWS ALERT! THE PANDEMIC IS NOT OVER! The guy at the corner (beer) store asked me recently when I was going to stop wearing my mask. And I was like, well through flu season for one and also, Covid is still a thing!

RHOBH Recap

Bad News Comes In Threes

Last season, Kyle, Kathy and Dorit had Covid and production was shut down. Now Sources connected to the series tell TMZ … late last week Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais and a member of the crew all tested positive, causing producers to suspend all filming. Garcelle has no symptoms and Lisa and Erika have very mild symptoms because all were vaccinated. The main problem is they are contagious so they have to quarantine for two weeks or so.

Why am I not surprised? It’s still rough out there. But at least this time, they only got breakthrough infections that stand a much lesser chance of becoming life-threatening illness.

And I guess if there’s any silver lining, it’s that the infections happened this month, so they might as well just give the cast and crew a winter holiday break and restart filming in the new year.

That Delilah Belle is causing more woes for mommy and daddy. What could her trauma be?

    Get well, Garcelle!

That’s a very interesting take on a story you don’t seem to understand. She’s been very open about her traumas. She has OCD, anxiety, and depression. She had to go to a rehab and was thrown out because she is on Xanex. She has a lot going on. I’d think most parents would show concern but according to her her parents are not helpful. I recall an IG story from her where she had to call the housekeeper or some sort of assistant to come to her aid. It’s very sad she seems all alone. She asked her parents to pay for her therapy for Christmas. 🙁 She’s literally crying for help.

Well, I brought it up. And she is an adult and her struggles are all over her social media. I’m pulling for her and am sad she doesn’t feel like she has family support. I’ve been there. But also agree that it is not fair to imply that SHE is the problem.

Agree with you with one caveat. ..I’m sure I don’t have the full story but IIRC, she is somehow connected to Yolanda and her whackadoodle medical opinions? That’s the only thing that makes me wonder about poor Delilah. I see her anxiety and depression as being real and my heart goes out to any kid in pain. I just wondering if the Yo connection has had undue & adverse influence on her. While Rinna turned me off with the EJ stuff, I am thinking that Harry Hamlin would do anything for his girls. Just random thoughts. (Although admittedly he seemed to not get the eating disorder thing). I haven’t had my coffee yet (I usually refrain from commenting pre-coffee, lol) but it feels like there’s a lot more there than any of us knows. My spidey senses are up on this particular situation. I’m holding back on having a full opinion until all the facts are out. But I am not down with victim blaming in any situation-just to be clear on that, but I just think there’s more to that story? Idk

I have had a prescription for Xanax for 30 years. I take it when I need it at night. It’s not every night because I’ve learned other techniques for dealing with my anxiety, mostly breathing and meditation, that do work in some situations. My dosage is .5 with a split line. It’s never changed in all these years. I think some people, especially young people think it’s a magical cure and end up abusing it.

What I don’t understand is her “addiction” to Inderal. It’s a beta blocker. I was on it for a decade for an essential tremor. It isn’t an upper or downer at all so I’m curious what she was on it for in the first place.

She clearly needs help and I hope she gets it.

I probably still l have some Xanax here somewhere. However, when I had a script, I literally didn’t need to take it that often. It literally works for me without having to take it 90 percent of the time. I took a very low dose. I do not recall the dosage, but after that I had no doctor so when I had my surgery during the cat lady times I asked for the next dosage up because it was twice as much and I felt like I could take a half, since they only give you a small amount. But half of the larger pill was too much for me. It made me sluggish. The first dose I took I felt like “this is what normal people probably feel like every day.”

I don’t even take Tylenol. I take ONE aspirin if needed. I already do enough damage to my liver.

Ha! I’m the same with aspirin and I never take Tylenol, Advil, etc. I don’t get headaches very often that are bad enough for me to take an aspirin so I’m fortunate in that respect. And I have an old script for .25 Xanax that I can split if I need one during the day which is very rare because of the sluggishness. That’s the lowest dose pill.

I think I was taking 2s. They were perfect. But then I got a few fives and halfed them and was sluggish. The twos just stopped the anxiety and let me function.

              I miss functioning.

Also, it is so sad that Delilah Blue seems to be so isolated from her family that she has turned to YO FUCKING LANDA who has “diagnosed her” with LYME and is sending her weirdo shit that will not help her.

Can no one get her the help she needs? Why can’t her parents pay for therapy????

She’s clearly in THE BAD PLACE whatever that means for her.

I am on Inderal (Propranolol) for anxiety and migrane prevention. It’s been an excellent drug that I only take when I need it, i.e. big presentation, meeting important client, etc., with no weird side effects. It’s apparently used a lot by actors with stage fright, helps them stay calm and preform. I bet she takes it for anxiety too. As much as I love Xanax, I would like that way too much!! Propranol doesn’t give you a rush or high, just does what it’s supposed to and calms you down, allowing you to be a confident version of yourself. So this particular one, I’m not concerned about, but who knows what else she’s on.

Both my husband and I were pretty damn sick for a solid week and now at 3 weeks still have lingering bullshit. But the scariest thing is that his coworker (a young, fit, tough dude who owns a fucking gym!) had to be hospitalized! He finally got released but still has weeks to go before he can get back to work. This asshole does not discriminate.

I have held off on doing my hair since pre-pandemic and I FINALLY decided to go get my highlights/lowlights and a haircut because I didn’t want to look like a “ragamuffin” in Xmas photos which we’ll be taking for first time since 2019. I’ve had same stylist for 25 years. He just called me to cancel because he has covid, and he’s super sick. He is vaccinated and not having mild symptoms as his wife called me in a panic. They are on their way to the ER so I’m very concerned about him as I care about him as a friend more than a stylist (although that part does suck too bc he’s super talented).

The variants are getting smarter as the virus is mutating in ways to bypass/change the spike protein which will inevitably make the vaccines moot in that they’ll become useless. I was all for the Darwin theory taking over until this information became available. What a lot don’t understand is that even the doctors and scientists are headed toward being out of their depths. Unknown is just that- unknowns. It’s like playing chess with another species that’s only motivation is to mutate to survive itself. Fortunately the whole world is focused on this particular science at the moment and there are some brilliant science brain’s working on it. I pray they have a solution in time.

This virus is unknown, but viruses in general are somewhat understood. If it is any consolation, there’s a principle in virology called “Muller’s Ratchet” which essentially states that as a virus mutates to achieve greater transmissibility, it becomes less deadly.

A virus’s greatest wish is to replicate itself as much as possible. It can’t do that very well if the hosts are dead.

Theoretically accurate, but you’ve got to take the entire worldwide vaccine inequity into consideration. The variants are mutating not only in US unvaccinated but worldwide. Take South Africa for instance, it’s mutating in the HIV positive population there. You also have to take animal populations into consideration too. The variants are highly transmissible but the jury is still out on how deadly they are. Preliminary thinking is agreeable for omicron but Delta is what is still highly infectious, and if we can’t get vaccines for the immunocompromised and the holdouts we will all face the variants to come that are smarter. I agree that coronavirus in general has been studied deeply but it’s still the unknown when it comes to future. I’m immunocompromised so it scares the shit out of me. Mitigation efforts are still very helpful as we’ve had virtually nil (comparatively) as it comes to influenza which is also a coronavirus. Hopefully we will get smarter in our guesses like we’ve come to be with influenza. But at the end of the day, that’s what it is…guesses.

As of today, we are reconsidering the family traveling for Xmas. It’s basically a risk/reward bottom line. Most of my family is in the hospitals actually down the throats of cov+ patients in hotspots so we’re in a uniquely tough spot. It sucks.

Austin & Houston are actually pretty liberal but you’d never know it & they’ve made it increasingly more difficult to vote at all so there’s that too. Abbott has lost his damn mind and the other branches are packed with clones as well. It’s a shit show. Wish we had a Stacey Abrams. I’m still praying she can pull out a win for y’all.

Just have to comment about Delilah. I am not a fan of Rinna so my immediate response is to snark on her (Rinna – and talk about what a POS I think she is, or has become) but… this is not the time for snark. That poor young lady needs some help and my heart breaks for her. I hope someone steps in to give her the parental support or leadership she wants/needs. I can’t imagine what it was like to have Rinna for a parent (and some of the things I’ve heard about HH are not that great either) so… I can understand where a fragile personality, such as Delilah, could be faltering in this society. For my Christmas, I will also hope she (and others like her) get the help she/they need.

I side-eyed Lisa Rinna as was pushing her girls into the limelight with modeling and such when they were both clearly not emotionally/mentally healthy. That is the last place I’d push a child with issues. It seems as though Lisa Rinna can’t help herself, even to help her kids.

People in my area are now pretending Covid is done as their coping mechanism. It sickens me to know they are risking their lives because we are such a privileged entitled Nation that anything that causes us an inconvenience is not well tolerated. These reality show women who get it should be shitting their pants regarding the possible side effects yet they just carry on like its no big deal that they are contracting a deadly disease and passing it around. “No biggie – I’m vaccinated” seems to be the protocol.
What they don’t seem to think about is the LONG COVID after affects that are now being reported. A mild case of covid could bring on long term medical complication that do not go away. The covid virus not only attacks the respiratory system, it also attacks other organs and weird illogical parts of the body. Some of the devastating long term affects are liver damage, kidney damage, erectile dysfunction, chronic nerve pain in the extremities, traveling blood clots, heart valve degeneration, permanent memory loss, brain swelling, to name a few.
My friend who is a forensic anthropologist was dispatched to NYC when the first outbreak happened (her detail was to collect dead bodies with 2 National Guard soldiers from the projects. They carried bodies down 5 flights of stairs that had died 3 days prior but no one available to take them away. She saw things that changed her life. )
She ended up contracting Covid on her 2nd detail. She was triple vexed. It was a very mild case, but she now suffers from memory loss & still doesn’t have her sense of smell. She can’t do winter sports with me because her toes now emit terrible pain if they get cold. Her life has changed.
Having a blasé attitude toward this deadly virus could end up costing you your health for the rest of your life, not to mention the fucking crippling medical bills that will bankrupt you and put you on welfare for the rest of your life (unless you happen to have a spare 1.5 million laying around – that’s the average bill for ICU, long term hospital stay, organ transplant and follow up care).
I cringe over blasé attitudes about this horrid virus. Ignorance is not bliss regarding a deadly virus. Wishing it away is not a good protection protocol.
My 5 yr. old grandson shows more respect for Covid than many adults. He has, from the start, insisted on wearing a mask, showed concern for others, refused to play w. kids who didn’t wear masks, demanded a vaccine shot when he could get one. When I asked him why he is such a good soldier about this, he said he has to protect his family and his friends. Proud damn Grandma here.
