I’m starting a new thread for the Rittenhouse Trial and I will probably start one for the trial of Ahmaud Aubrey trial right after this. The Rittenhouse comments are very political which is kind of funny because one party says this is not a political trial and then calling me “the far left.” It’s gotten an ongoing, even at this moment battle and I am on the front lines with “the far left” notion that a child should not be wandering around pretending to be an EMT and carrying an AR-15 and killing people. Anyway, you can read all those comments here. I’m open to hearing a different opinion, and something that to me should be an open and shut case, is somehow a political discussion.
The jury has deliberated for two long days and I always felt like it would be a hung jury. There are plenty of people saying stupid things. Things are weird in Wisconsin. Like, apparently is not legal for a 17 year old to buy an Ar 15 but they can walk around with one? The “far right” whatever that means thinks that a child is perfectly fine shooting people who he clearly provoked. If we are arguing in comments for over 250 comments, that looks like a hung jury to me. New posters come in. And it is sort of like we are the jury. I’m arguing with people, I’m agreeing with people but I would probably vote to convict unless someone had a REALLY good argument.
I’ll address the Ahmaud Aubrey case in my next post. And you may not like my opinion… I try to be an objective juror.
