Already, we’re at Episode 2! Will Day 2 become even more of a shitshow? Obviously, the answer is: Yasss, hunni! Let’s get straight into this RHUGT Recap! In case Ramona’s exhibitionist antics on Day 1 weren’t enough, Luann decided to flash Melissa and Kenya before anyone could even get some morning coffee. Hey, at least the Shed Media producers know how to keep this show moving at a good pace! At the breakfast table, Kenya decided to give Ramona another chance to “prove who she really is”. Ramona proceeded to lust some more after the Conch Shack owner. Ramona then declared herself a “fashion trendsetter,”and Kenya and Teresa were not having it.
“We Got The Yacht! ”
Ramona had to cause another scene over her tennis workout appointment. Of course, Ramona got lost en route to the tennis court. And of course, Kenya and Teresa had more choice words for Ramona. While walking with Cynthia, Teresa expressed her gratitude for Kenya sticking up for her against Ramona. Then, she threw some shade at Melissa for their past on-camera fights on RHONJ. It seems like Teresa’s divorce from Joe Giudice gives her some kind of shared experience with Kenya.
Though Kenya quickly bonded with Teresa, that didn’t stop her from girl-crushing on Melissa once they all got on the yacht. Meanwhile, Ramona attempted a do-over with Teresa as they both discussed their shared experience in the fashion business as buyers for Macy’s. As the other Housewives got to drinking, Luann insisted that she didn’t need alcohol to have fun on the yacht. Luann then explained why as she opened up about her struggles in dating since her December 2017 Palm Beach incident. She explained how she thought she could fix Tom D’Agostino, and that really had an impact on Kenya.
“There’s not enough lip gloss in the world to cover up her rudeness!”
As Luann spoke about her divorce experience, Ramona butted in (again) and accused Luann of “triggering” her by talking about Tom. Kyle pleaded with Ramona to stop the insanity: “Ramona, you’re not even hearing what she has to say!” Luann said in her confessional, “There’s not enough lip gloss in the world to cover up her rudeness!” Back on the yacht, Luann and Kenya moved downstairs to comfort each other and talk more shit about Ramona. Back at the lunch table, Ramona tried “ADD” as an excuse for her latest bout of foot-in-mouth syndrome.
After a delightful turn of events that involved swimming, twerking, Instagram selfie posing, and the friendly neighborhood stingray, Cynthia and Kyle had a heart-to-heart on the yacht over marriage in the social media age. Kyle recommended that Cynthia “surround [herself] with happily married couples”, and Cynthia proceeded to bond with Kyle while Kenya was playing around with Luann and the Jersey ladies. Kyle then freaked out over “accidentally” posting an Instagram Story from the yacht. Then, once they returned from the yacht, Ramona tried to coach herself to “not start any drama”. Come on, Ramona. You’re not fooling anyone!
Who’s getting read for filth at the Bailey-cue?
For Day #2 dinner, Cynthia put together a very tropical Bailey-cue. Ruh-roh, Kenya was running late! Cynthia sought to explain how the RHOA crew throws shade, and the other Housewives quickly complained. Kenya finally showed up following her hair and makeup session, and Kyle complained about the parameters of the shade game. Kenya showed up just over an hour late, yet Kenya was first to help herself to the food. Here’s where Kenya’s and Cynthia’s friendship really takes a turn for the worse. Kenya tried to change the program for Cynthia’s night. Yet while Cynthia was understandably upset by Kenya’s “so nasty and so rude” actions, Kenya may have had a valid point about the other Housewives’ inability to handle Atlanta-style shade throwing.
At least they all came together to point out how Ramona is the nastiest and rudest one of them all. They then took a more serious turn as Kyle, Kenya, and Melissa opened up on their insecurities. Luann managed to lighten the mood by joking about growing old with Ramona. Finally, we got to the awards! Melissa was the sweetest. Kenya was the smartest. Luann was the best boss. Ramona had the best butt. Cynthia was the most fashionable. Teresa had the best smile. Melissa was the sexiest. Kenya was the shadiest, and she had an acceptance speech designed with Ramona in mind: “Now the shadiest one here calls me the shadiest? That’s shady!”
