It was Disney week on DWTS this week and the dancers had two Disney related dances. Monday’s episode was “hero’s night” and tonight’s episode was all about the Disney villains. Kenya Moore and Brandon Armstrong danced the Viennese Waltz to “Dangerous Woman” by Ariana Grande from the movie “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.” Kenya was the evil queen. The judges said it was her best dance of the season.
“It was a lovely dance and it was done very, very well,” Len says.
“This Evil Queen was a whole vibe,” Derek adds.
“No mirror can do justice to your evil beauty,” Bruno says.
Carrie Ann says she’s “so impressed” with Kenya and said it was their best dance of the show thus far.
Carrie Ann and Len award them 7s while Bruno and Derek award 8s for a total of 30 out of 40. That gives them a two-night score of 59 out of 80. Their Hero’s dance from Monday can be seen below.
The Judges Save Kenya Moore
No one went home on hero’s night so tonight, two people were sent home on villain’s night. Kenya Moore was in the bottom three with Matt James with 57 points and Brian Austen Green. Brian and Shana are sent home first in a decision based on audience votes and judges scores.
Then, the judges have to decide who to save between Kenya and Matt. Kenya was also saved by the judges on the previous week. Bruno votes to save Matt and Lindsay. Derek votes to save Kenya and Brandon. Carrie Ann votes to save Matt and Lindsay. It all comes down to Len, the head judge to make the decision. Len decided to use the judge’s save on Kenya again.
So after being in the bottom each week, four other contestants have gone home ahead of Kenya. Kenya keeps improving every weekend and it is clear the judges have noticed this. Kenya Moore is now 11th out of 15 contestants. (There was also a double elimination the first week). I’d say she is doing really well especially in this particular group of contestants. Jo Jo Siwa is consistently at or near the top with her same sex partner. The wrestler, The Miz (yes, the guy from Real World) is shockingly good, as is that fake rower girl. The only one really struggling at this point is NBA player Iman who is exceedingly tall, and his partner is short. Or seems short in comparison. And he doesn’t have much rhythm. I expect him to go next.
