I am loving this season and trying to do my 90 Day Fiance The Other Way recaps earlier in the week. I am a bit under the weather this week and still dealing with the plumbing crap, an issue or two with ads and need to call the insurance adjuster in India or wherever. Le sigh. So this show will be my happy place. Thanks for watching it with me so I have someone to chat with about it. 🙂
Jenny & Sumit
Ah, we being in India where Jenny is about to join the Hare Krishnas. I am not making things up. I’ve seen people do a lot of things in the name of love on this show, but this is something I’ve never seen before. Sumit is teaching her all the songs and chants. Then, he drops her off at the temple alone to figure out how to do this. Two Hare Krishna devotees bring Jenny a string of beads for chanting. There are 108 beads and they chant the entire mantra for each bead. Jenny seems to really like it actually. It seems to be helping her with her stress. Later she talks to a priest about becoming a Hare Krishna devotee. He basically tells her that she can’t just be a random devotee It takes years and she would have to work in the temple 24/7.
Ari & Bini
I am so annoyed by Ari I can hardly stand it and I used to like her and admire her as fellow solo traveler. It’s the day after she brought her ex husband to stay in her house with her new fiance. Bini is extremely worried about the entire situation and is coping by working out really hard. Ari tells us that she really regrets how her relationship with Leandro ended. By the way, Leandro still lives in Indiana. While Bini works out his frustrations by flipping huge tires and lifting huge weights, Leandro and Ari bond over coffee.
Later, Bini takes Leandro to his gym. First they do some sparring. Bini wants to get the truth about what happened when Ari went back to the US. She failed to mention to him that they were staying together in…I guess… her apartment. But first, Bini wrestles Leandro to the ground. Leandro taps out twice but Bini keeps going. Dominance is proven, lol. Then, they sit down to talk. Leandro basically admits that he has feelings for Ari. Bini asks him if he and Ari had sex in the US. He doesn’t actually answer yes or no. Because the answer is obviously yes.
Later, the newly formed throuple head out to dinner. Bini invites the ex-girlfriend. Nothing like fighting fire with fire. Tsion, Bini’s ex arrives, Leandro’s eyes pop out of his head. Ari is no amused. Basically, the girlfriend says they fought and broke up and two months later he met his ex wife. Tsion felt like they would get back together and then he suddenly just got married. Bini says he didn’t cheat. They had stopped talking for two months. So he started dating his ex-wife. When Ari asks if she should be worried about their close relationship as dance partners. They both look guilty.
Ellie & Victor
In Seattle, Elli is desperate to hear from Victor as his island has been hit by a category five hurricane. The last he heard from him when the hurricane was hitting. He said it was worse than they expected and asked for prayers. Ellie cries on her couch wondering if he is alive. Her friend comes over to comfort her. At this point no one can get to the island to search for survivors. Two days later his sister calls from the mainland and has heard that Victor and his family are okay. The next day her flight leaves. I feel like she is not even taking the right stuff. I love Ellie’s friend.
Again, these people are traveling internationally during Covid. Le sigh. Ellie arrives at a larger nearby island that was mostly spared from the storm. She tries texting Victor but is phone is still not working. She came for the rest of her life with one suitcase? In the hotel room, she has second thoughts.
Armando & Kenny
Kenny is going to the airport to pick up his daughter. He has not seen any of his kids for a year. I can’t believe she made the trip during Covid. Kenny hasn’t told Armando how homesick he is being away from his family. Kenny has a lot of guilt over leaving his family to follow his heart. 🙁 Why don’t we ever get real scenes of Kenny and Armando!? That is all we got this episode!
Evelin & Corey
Evelin has asked her sisters to help her plan her wedding. I have no idea why Evelin is marrying Corey. I don’t think she even LIKES him at all. When Corey finds Evelin and her sisters looking at wedding dresses online, he suddenly has something to give her. Please don’t tell me he bought her a wedding dress. Oh but he did. He bought it a year ago and has hidden it for about a year. He says, “It’s a little dirty.” Good grief. She reacts as we would expect. Then, he admits that it was his sister’s prom dress. I hate everything about this couple.
Later, Evelin and her sisters go wedding dress shopping. Even when shopping for her wedding dress Evelin talks about how she never wanted to get married in the first place. So why does she expect a $50 wedding? When she sees herself in the mirror she has a panic attack. She says she would be more comfortable if she was sure that Corey was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. She’s not. So why in the name of all that is holy did she agree to get married? She’s pissed about the girl in Peru. Oh she tells her sisters about him having a girlfriend, Jenny, in Peru. I thought they already knew! She admits that they were broken up at the time. The sisters say not to marry him.
Then, Evelyn Evelin drops a bombshell! They eloped one year ago!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alina & Steven
It’s the day before Alina flies to Turkey to be with Steven. So, She asks her friend Masha to come over and she tells her about Steven wanting his own apartment in Turkey. Also, she mentions that he has previously asked her if he could date other girls. So, she wants Masha to flirt with Steven online and see how far she can get him to take it. Wow. She is hoping he will say he has a girlfriend. If he flirts back she will break up with him.
Steven is ready to leave for Turkey. Sort of. It kind of seems like he doesn’t want to go. Steven’s dad is worried about Steven because he often doesn’t think rules don’t apply to him. His mom thinks he has no idea what he is getting into.
