It’s time for another Big Brother 23 recap! And, it is a DOUBLE EVICTION NIGHT! I am so excited and nervous for this episode. I’m also an eensy bit behind. I’ve been super busy today and am still very behind on emails. I’m so not a fan of Julie’s dress tonight. I used to play Big Brother games online and one of the questions was always what color will Julie wear? The correct answer for tonight would “not that color.”
Why are we wasting so much time? Is the end of the episode going to be on the feeds? Alyssa tells the Cookout alliance that if Claire goes home, the final seven are all minorities. So, she asks Azah and Big D if she is next to go. They tell her no and laugh. They tell the diary room yes! Hannah is going to cast a sympathy vote for Claire, and she is already telling Alyssa that is Ky and he is coming after X. Smart way to get Ky on the block. IF that works.
The Very Sad Eviction And The Very Fast HOH Comp
OMG! Derek said, ” I sadly evict Claire.” That was perfect English! He forgot to say “vote” but he’s almost functionally literate at this point! ALMOST. Claire goes home in a vote of 4 to 1. Claire says she will give everyone hugs on finale night and dashes out the door. She may have been told to do that for time constraints. Claire talks about how people of color have historically been treated unfairly house with Julie. She respects Tiffany’s decision. She gave a speech to the other houseguests before voting about how they are handing this game to Xavier basically. She’s not wrong. Julie asks for her rationale. She was trying to look out for Tiff and Hannah and get them focused on getting X out.
The HOH will be a very fast questions round. I hope Hannah or Alyssa win. The questions are based on a series of BB Comics videos they will watch. Are they really wasting BB Comics on a three minute HOH? Surely not. I should also point out the X and Alyssa are both in their Kings T-shirts. Derek is the only one to miss the first question. He sucks at literally everything. Azah was the only one to miss question two. After three questions, Ky, X and Hannah are tied for the lead. Hannah takes the lead on the fourth question. Three questions to go. Kyland ties for the win on question five. Hannah takes the lead on question six. And wins with six out of seven correct. She is the new HOH! YAY!!!
The Veto Comp
Hannah already knew exactly what she was going to do. Claire’s speech about X was clearly all part of the plan to make Alyssa feel safe. X agreed to go up on the block again. He knows that Alyssa is going out. But she is being told by Hannah that she is the pawn. Meanwhile, Hannah is adding to her resume. You go girl. Allyssa really is as dim as Zing Bot said. But the veto can change everything. Everyone except Kyland is playing veto. He was eliminated by a random draw. It’s a 3-D puzzle. That means Alyssa won’t wine. Nor will Derek. Azah is unlikely. So far Xavier is winning. That was probably the plan for all of their jury management. Unless he is dumb enough to use the veto on Alyssa. And he’s not that dumb.
I’m not really sure what Hannah’s plan is here. I heard Ky’s name mentioned. But, not sure she is telling the truth. Hannah replaces X with Kyland!!!! YAY! Kyland and Alyssa both seem pissed by the nomination. I doubt they would get this close to their final six goal and keep Alyssa. But it could get exciting if they do. Kyland keeps things short and sweet. Alyssa is pissed and says literally no one will vote for her to win. She’s right. So they can send her home, and keep doing what Kyland tells you to do and lose to him or keep her and take her to the finals and win. It was a very smart speech. Unfortunately, the white half of her is about to be sent home. Big D flubs his eviction sentence one more time. X voted out Ky, knowing he was staying and Alyssa is evicted.
Xavier cries in the house after she leaves. So does Kyland. The Cookout has reached their goal! Alyssa felt like her final two with Hannah was real. The just made it last week. The weird thing is the house currently has no new HOH. Next Thursday is a TWO HOUR EPISODE! I cannot wait! The cookout is celebrating being he first alliance every to stay intact until the end! And they were a day one alliance! Congrats to them all. Now the fun begins for us.
