Well, this will get the last RHONY recap for a long time. Or we might not get another season at all. I can’t stop pestering my source about why there isn’t going to be a reunion. It just doesn’t make sense to me. This is only episode 17! Why not even on two episode reunion? The only sort of answer I get is “Bravo is not proud of the season.” So? There have to have been many seasons of housewives that they were not proud of. We have never, EVER not had a reunion at all. This makes no sense.
OPA!!!
The episode starts with Luann answering Ramona’s phone and they all talk to Harry Dubin. He must be really good in bed, because… I don’t see the attraction. Next they all talk about their old flames. These women all need to find some men to give them some vitamin D. Then, they would be less bitchy. Ramona has brought all these crystal stick-ons and the ladies are wearing them on their nipples and going topless. These ladies are crazy. The next morning they wake up all a little bit hungover. Eventually, they head out to a Greek restaurant for lunch. Bershan is suppose to arrive today. YAY!

The ladies talk about their favorite Valentine’s memories and Leah gets emotional over her past relationship with her daughter’s father. It seems she is still really hung up on him. Then the ladies decide to break some plates. Ramona is very into it. For some reason when they break a plate, the employees throw a bunch of white papers into the air.
Identity Swap
Bershan arrives at Ramona’s house in time to get ready for the identity swap. Luann and Eboni are swapping, Sonja and Bershan are swapping, Ramona and Leah are swapping. Is that everyone? Leah is Ramona with Covid. She’s dragging an IV bag with her everywhere. It’s kind of funny since no one believes Ramona had Covid. Eboni is walking around with a microphone in her hand. Luann is the sexy lawyer version of Eboni. Everyone is losing their minds over each others outfits. The women seem to actually be having fun together. Finally! Then they just up and end the season? IDGI.

Bershan and Sonja both like each other’s outfits. It’s almost like they finally all like each other. Perhaps they just decided to end on a happy note. I mean sure this is all ridiculous, but it is kid of fun. The poor bartenders are all super confused. They each had to answer questions at the the other and Leah answer her question (as Ramona) with nothing but genuine accolades for her. Ramona got emotional. Fuck, I got emotional. Every little thing makes me emotional these days. It was a very sweet moment though. Ramona gets up and hugs Leah. She keeps saying Leah really gets her. That is all Ramona has ever wanted. Who knew Leah would be the one to give it to her?
So Many Wounds Are Healed!
Then Eboni speaks as Luann and she too, is full of complimentary things about Luann. What is happening? Is the world ending? This is all so lovely. Sonja as Bershan is asked who in the group needs the most help. She sidesteps the question and says that Leah is in the group because she has a lot she can learn from these old grandmas. And that she is special. Then, Bershan goes as Sonja. Her question is why does she (Sonja) have such a hard time letting go of the past. Bershan tells Ramona that she loves her like a sister but sometimes you put a lot of people before her. Fake Ramona and Sonja hug it out.

Ramona as Leah, is Leah’s usual obnoxious self. Because, Ramona. Leah as Ramona says she is scared of her and hides under the dinner table. Luann goes next as Eboni. Her question is, Why do I refer to myself as Eboni K. Williams?” She says that she is the smartest, prettiest, woman in the room and she has worked hard to get to where she is in life and she is going to use her full name if she wants to. Eboni loves this. This was a great little dinner.
The End?
Then we get the endcaps. Luann’s Cabaret show is coming back in the fall and she is working on a non-alcoholic rosé. Wow! Ramona passed her real estate exam and is working for Douglas- Elliman I THINK. She bought herself a waterfront condo in Palm Beach close to Harry Dubin. Eboni is in constant contact with her half sisters but has yet to meet her dad. She is dating through her matchmaker. And I just read that she will be at least a guest host (among several others) on The View as they look for a conservative replacement for Meghan McCain. She’s be really good at that! I hope they pick her.
Sonja has rented out her townhouse for two years. She has her own Comedy Caburlesque show debuting this fall in NYC. Leah plans to finalize her conversion to Judaism by this fall. And she is sending her daughter Kier to a top tier private girls school for the upcoming school year.
Hmm according to that commercial there is going to be some sort of show recounting the season with clips next week. Whatever. It looks like there may be some unseen footage. I really liked this episode. It sucks that they stopped the show just when it was getting good. At this point I want ALL of them back. Bravo does not know how to let storylines evolve. Off to watch Bachelor in Paradise. 🙂
I get that fans have been so mad about this RHONY season for all sorts of reasons. But really, no reunion? When’s the last time this happened? Even when RHOM was getting canceled, they still got their third season. Even after all the outrage over that last RHOD season, they got a reunion.
At least this episode provided some kind of happy ending to a very rough season. At this point, I’d also be fine with everyone returning. But if they do get renewed, they still need a more robust cast. IMHO they should bring back Dorinda, and they should bring someone who can find a way to get along with Eboni and Leah while also making nice with the OG’s. I guess we’ll have to “watch what happens” here.
Leah should’ve been one & done last year like Cindy, Jules. IMHO both Leah and ebony ruined RHONY.
Jersey is my only other remaining show & it seems not only is margaret still on but being the biggest bully & hypocrite around.
I hate to say it but it’s the end of an era RIP housewives shows period:(
Captain Lee don’t fail us now lol!
Jaycee, AMEN on RIP housewives shows. They are way too early 2000’s… We’ve all changed, times have changed and the shows need to change as well.
Gigi I think you are a so cal girl as well so I have a story to share. It was I think first year of RHOC & I was at Nordstrom’s south coast plaza. I was in the jrs section (think it was called brass plum?) & as I make my way to the dressing room here comes vicki with a bunch of clothes for her daughter to try on being as bossy & adhd as she was on tv. At least I think it was her daughter. I never saw or heard her only Vicki’s shrill voice as I was trying on my selections & I didn’t stay to find out. I thought wow I guess reality tv is real. I think the first season most of it was real. Now none of their lives/antics even look like a fragment of reality.
I’ll watch the ep at some point LOL. I think a reunion is deserved more so for us to watch Andy squirm at what a shit show he promoted as “a fantastic season” …. gurl bye.
I saw everyone needs to gtfo and RHONY should get a recast. I want GLAMOUR. There are fabulous rich women in NYC. And a small subset are thirsty for fame. At this point I’m in favor of Bravo reviving High Society. It was a one-season show but those crazy bitches delivered.
I know Avery Singer has to see her mom flashing her tits on tv and beam with pride.
ROFL. That segment turned my stomach.
I agree. I could have done without the Old Girls Gone Wild segment.
A party in your college years, okay. Women north of 60, I don’t need to see it. I think Eboni was the only one with non surgery ones.
Avery was embarrassed by her Mom in season 1. I suspect she’s less embarrassed now at age 25 than she was when the first season was filmed in the summer of 2007 and she was 11. At age 11, the mere presence of your mother can be embarrassing.
I would watch RHONY with Ramona and Luanne. Maybe Sonja but her storyline is the same every season, which has gotten exhausting. Ebony didn’t fit it and kept trying to make every scene about herself. Leah also didn’t fit in and was so nasty the first part of the season, that I couldn’t watch her berate and curse at Ramona any longer, so I stopped watching. Tinsley would be amazing to have come back and Rachel Uchitel would also be fantastic (she also has the Harry Dubin connection and went out with Mario).
This was the first season I ever watched RHONY. So when Ebony came on and was lecturing, it made it harder to watch. I was really glad Bershan was there with her ‘happy-go-lucky’ attitude because Ebony was such a downer.
The dinner where they dressed up as each other was by far the most fun thing this season! I much more enjoy the laughing than the petty drama and arguing. Leah and Ramona were the best! They both did a great job of impersonating the other. LuAnn was surprisingly bad at taking on someone else’s character. All she did was keep saying random “y’alls.”
For next season, replace Eboni with Bershawn.
Love Bershawn , she is smart and knows how to have fun and is entertaining, and honestly, I want to be entertained when I watch the real housewives.
I LOVED the dinner where they dressed as each other. I have never laughed out loud at this show before, and I sure did while watching that part of the show. LOVED IT. I also really like Eboni.
It sounds like their either completely flipped the script for that last get together or let the girls finally be themselves…. I wonder if they are just scared of what will be said or done at the reunion.
This was a fun finale. The impersonation game could have gone VERY badly, but I think because they did it in pairs and the person you were imitating would imitate you, instead of making the choices random, everyone was hyper aware of how mean it could get. Also, Leah started it out on such a kind note, I would have been tempted to roast Ramona’s ass. I’ll bet Bershawn actually planned to go mean in her role as Sonja but dialled it back.
I was nervous though, I think imitating people is normally the height of rudeness. I can’t stand when Kyle does it (although she is a gifted mimic) the person being mimicked never really enjoys it, but they managed to do it in a fun, kind way. It was a surprisingly nice end to the season.
This episode was fun but it’s sad it was the last one because this how the entire season should’ve been. Had this season had more fun and less fights it would’ve been better.
I have the unpopular opinion that Eboni WAS NOT the problem.
The OGs didn’t bring any interesting story lines this season! An OG should be able to “save” a season! Bethenny has done and as much as people love to hate Lisa Rinna, she’s carried a couple season os ROBH. If LuAnn, Sonja and Ramona can’t make a good season then why should they continue as an OGs?!
I don’t know if the Bravo can save RHONY but I think they should create a show with Eboni, Tinsley and couple of other single women over 35 and highlight how they’re pursuing successful careers and marriage and motherhood.
Excellent idea for a new show!
Good bye and good riddance. I was bored all season, and I did not buy their insta-friendship wrap ups. Unless Beth, Tinsley, and/or Dorinda returns, I won’t watch.
This has been a franchise I always tuned in for in the past. Not this year, and I really don’t care to see it brought back. I’m just kind of over it. A lot of what’s filmed is just wash, rinse, repeat. We know Sonja is going to let us know she was a Morgan every season and get drunk and sleep with many men young or old. Ramona is going to be a greedy bitch over where she sleeps every trip. She’s going to mark her territory (like a dog but with shit) everywhere she goes, and she’s going to be racist and elitist everywhere she goes. LuAnn will be the eternal hypocrite. Her own drinking got her arrested in a public and embarrassing way, but she somehow minimizes that and sits in judgement of others (mainly Sonja). Eboni turned me off so bad with her preachy, teachy, authoritative shit that I just do not want to watch her. She needs to sit home and binge watch Garcelle on RHOBH. I cannot stand Leah. I hope we never see or hear from her…no WWHL, no interviews, no podcasts. Nothing about her has been enjoyable to watch.
I really like Eboni and, from a older white gal, living in south central PA, I didn’t find her annoying or offensive. She droned on a bit (meaning I can hear her voice in my head when I think about her), but I can also hear Bethenny’s screech, Sonya’s shrieking, Ramona’s obnoxiousness, etc… Perhaps the conversations that were had were ‘too soon’ but at some point, we need to have them and move on with life. I want to listen and learn – and for those of us who are in midwestern states with land for miles and miles (with very little human interaction, let alone black people), I don’t think this was a bad way to discuss issues. The conversations didn’t go well but that is not Eboni’s fault alone – blame Ramona who shouted her down each time, blame production who didn’t try to calm the outburst and then aired the messy, blame the whole cast (including Leah who keeps trying to portray herself as exceedingly ‘woke’) but it wasn’t just Eboni. In the end, I like the conversation but not the badgering (which happened because of Ramona) so I will give Eboni grace and hope to see her on the View or back on RHONY next year.
I’ll take Eboni over Bershawn and day.
Me too!
Your opinion mirrors mine and I thank you for showing me I’m not just being a “sensitive” Black girl for feeling this way.
I heard there is a reunion. I think they began taping it last week or this.
I liked this season. I like Eboni and Leah. They are both necessary additions to a show in a city that is supposed to be diverse and full of edge and energy. I will take Leah any day over Ramona pooping everywhere or one more season of LuAnn making tone deaf music.
Krista, PLEASE READ THE COMMENTING RULES. https://tamaratattles.com/commenting-rules/ and do not post false information you have heard somewhere else here.
Well, I thought last week was the last show so I didn’t watch. My sister told me she FF through it so I’m not missing anything. like Jaycee said above, RIP housewives shows. They are all embarrassing at this point. The only one I watch/listen to while knitting is rhobh cuz I love watching that bitch squirm.
After the finale, I am glad there is no reunion.
Housewives reunions are for addressing unresolved issues with either making up or. more fighting.
This season didn’t really end with any unresolved issues.
All they would have to talk about were things that happened off screen with women trading accusations against each other over who caused poor ratings and the negative stories leaked to the tabloids about each other after filming stopped.
The OGs this season could not be themselves this season. Bring back dorinda, tinsley keep bershan. Let go off leah and let eboni go on to get a permanent gig with “The View” now that she will be a,featured guest member at that table.
So we had to wait for the season finale to finally see a good RHNY? Sheesh!
Doubt Lu & Ramona will come back as “friends of” next year. Their egos are far too big. Sonja probably will cause she needs the money. I wouldn’t mind having Lu back – I kinda enjoyed her this year despite her total delusion. But I’ve had enough of Ms. Singer. For a long time. Please be gone. For good. I like Eboni & would like to see her with others. Leah became more tolerable as the season went on and she should definitely stay sober. Did NOT like. Bershawn at all. Found her obnoxious.
Let’s see what happens next year – IF there is a next year.
They came so hard for Adrienne and humiliated her when she refused to attend a RHOBH reunion. Now Bravo is not having a reunion? Bravo is embarrassed? They are not proud? Grow Up.
I think the cast was too small … every time I watched I felt like someone was missing.
Eboni & Leah are just too young for this show for the most part, so it’s never going to work.
Could have done without the pastie party, but I thought the switching characters segment was amusing.
I just wish they could break the 4th wall and stop pretending that they’re friends and admit that they’re just coworkers for the most part.
I refuse to believe that they will not be back. This is one of the better franchises and after a bad spill they are throwing out the whole milk carton? NO!!!!
I think the last couple of episodes were much better. Eboni certainly was pleasant and even Leah had good moments. They need to chill and maybe scare the OG’s a little. But don’t punish me by no more NY!!!!!
Thank you! This is exactly how I feel I love New York and it ended up being good I think Eboni just got a bad edit even though I enjoyed what she did but the hatred she’s been getting is not warranted and I think they need to bring them back Bethany and maybe add a couple of more housewives I love New York!!!
Wow! This was a delightfully funny episode! If only they all had been this great. This is what we want Bravo!
A majority of the episodes were staged with Ebony being the driving force with educating everyone else. For that reason it created an annoying season.
Go back to the fun times!
The impersonation idea was fantastic! I’ll say this for NY, the are the only ones I watch consistently and the only ones that I find myself smiling while I watch it. I have a theory — do we follow the housewives more if they match us demographically? Do people on the West coast like OC and BH, and people in the Northeast like NJ and NY?
I think if you come from the city, you hate the show. Like me and Atlanta. These women don’t represent wealthy southern women at all. Most of them are from somewhere else.
Noooo what am I gonna do without my RHONY !! I loved this episode and the last one too, so much better when they’re all relaxed and having fun. Still on lockdown in Sydney Australia and so fucking over it! I wish the whole season had been as lighthearted as these two episodes have been .. even Leah wasn’t so bad ( I love Eboni K Williams)! And I hope they keep RHONY I adore the NY scenery have never been but is on my list when we can travel again !
I finally watched the finale and it was fine. I totally understand the decision to not do a reunion, because what else would they talk about other than dredging up the botched race/religion drama. They really painted themselves in a corner. The finale is a much better note to end the season on.
I think they went back to the editing room for the last couple of episodes too. Very different tone than the rest of the season.
What I hope they do next is figure out a way to make the show without enraging twitter OR pandering to it. Neither works. Just let the ladies do their thing.
I know many have strong opinions of Ramona. She is unapologetically herself real deal. I did not watch this season I can’t with Leah mostly but Ebony too. But sounds like Ebony kept trying to corner Ramona. The harder she tried the crazier Ramona’s behavior. This is why Ebony needs to go. Ramona is not open to any discussion which is a shame. I would hope if earlier in the season her and Ebony discuss racial issues. The season could have been watchable. I see when Leah is triggered for that I refused to watch. The cast knows she is Bipolar! But they trigger her till she explodes which is sick. Shelve it or recast.
Oddly the very last episode made me want to keep everyone. But that is DEFINATELY not happening unless the Suits had some sort of last minute change of heart like I did. And I’m pretty sure they did not. They seemed to have thrown up their hands to the point they don’t even want to film a reunion.. It’s just all a big mess.
