Jen Shah’s legal issues keep going from bad to worse. Just the other day we learned that her “assistant” Stuart who is also charged with multiple crimes is going to take a plea and probably roll over on Jen Shah. Today the news is that her very fancy lawyers are no longer representing her. Instead she has hired a much cheaper attorney at a very small firm. The speculation is she could no longer afford the high end attorneys. Another explanation could be that she was not taking their advice. That advice would probably be to take a plea deal. It seems she is the last holdout that wants to go to trial. The last I heard was a plea deal would be for something just under 10 years.
In other news, I’m under the weather today. I’m not really sick. I am just a stress puker. My dad was the same way. Also, I am unable to tape the first airing of Below Deck tonight due to The Bachelorette three hour finale and several other shows. So, I may not be able to get to the recap tonight. Hopefully, Banjo and I can sleep through the night. Apologies.
Awwww Tamara feel better soon HUGS & CUDDLES HUGS to BANJO 💜 Have that feeling like Erica & Jen are both difficult & not forthcoming with counsel. Goodness I hope TT someone will help you with the tea tonight.
Jen really thinks she’s not going to prison. There is no way with their evidence that she is going to escape it. She’s a fool if she doesn’t take a plea. If it goes to trial they will throw the book at her. 10 years on a plea is the best she’s going to get. The others are getting between 60 and 72 months
I hope you and Banjo get a good nights rest and hopefully feel all refreshed tomorrow. I seriously doubt there is anything that pressing on Below Deck or Below any housewife that cannot wait!
Take care and keep on swimming.
Just dropping a line – her new law firm is ranked in Chambers for white collar criminal and all three of the partners have strengths directly applicable to her case, including an expert in federal sentencing guidelines. These lawyers trained in prosecutors offices, the federal defense bar and the court system. This is more like a step sideways than a step down, and its very common for this to happen in NYC; many big firm white collar lawyers are not actually trial lawyers. Also, these small boutique practitioners? Their rates may be lower (probably 20% or so) only because they are normally not paying hugely expensive NYC office leases.
You must be an attorney :-). I second your analysis.
It surprises me that Jen thinks she can get away with it. The prosecutors are top of the line! No one compares to that level. Every motion filed has been shot down. Crying and screaming will do her no good as a defense. Take a plea deal!
What happens to Shariff? He is not apart of the lawsuit. But will he lose the house? Did he lose his job due to all the negative press?
They didn’t own a house. They were renting. They’ve already moved so I doubt much of season 2 was shot at their previous dwelling.
The one shown on the show is rented. They own a modest home nearby.
Jen is delusional and she believes her own delusions. And part of that is the narcissistic trait of thinking they’re the smartest person it the room. She thinks she can charm a jury into a better deal. I’d love her to try.
And we think we have problems! I’ll take my problems over hers anyday. And Theresa did a year because she claimed All her jewelry was fake. So don’t blame Joe, you lying pos. Hope you feel better. Smoke is good for nausea.
