On tonight’s Shah’s of Sunset recap, the gang heads on a NINE HOUR BUS RIDE to the Redwoods. NINE HOURS ON A BUS together. This is going to be full of drama! It is funny that Golnesa is suddenly the voice of reason this season. I love this cute new introduction. Production has really stepped it up this season. Golnesa is in charge of the trip this season. Of course it is low budget. It’s COVID. So they let her “host.” Everyone is going to a house in the Redwoods. She wants everyone to be kind and bring a wild, wild, west costume. Her mission is unity for the group.
Mercedeh wants us to know she and Tommy finally did the deed that morning. She talks to Tommy about possibly making up with Reza. He says absolutely not. He says that Reza is a malignant tumor that needs to be cut out. Reza talks to Adam about Mike. Then, the brings up possibly dropping the restraining order. I have similar blue enamel pots, but I am not sure why they would plant a cactus in one rather than just planting in the their yard. Adam tells Reza that he’s okay with dropping the restraining order. Production was pretty much insisting on it. Tommy does not give a shit. And his child will never be around Reza. Unlike the rest of them, he is not acting. Mercedeh needs to respect the fact that Tommy is where he is on the issue because Reza disrespected his wife.
On The Road Again (FOR NINE HOURS????)
Once again all of these women pack like they are evacuating from a hurricane and need to take all their clothes and favorite things with them. I actually had to do that once and it sucks. This is a trip for a few days. But first, Mike and Golnesa meet for dessert and coffee. She tries to get Mike to consider making up with everyone on the trip. Leila, Golnesa’s sister, is driving the bus! Nema says it is a tour bus (it is) and that they are traveling like Iranian Metallica. Golensa gives all the girls an um…. er… attachment to their vaginas so that they can pee in a bottle. Is there no bathroom on this giant bus or is this for the wilderness?
Mike really thinks he looks like Golnesa’s baby. Reza points out with Mike’s reputation, he shouldn’t be saying that. Then Mike starts in on how much Reza talks about his diet. They are picking at each other. That sets off all the usual arguments. When people try to get them to stop, Mike says that Reza talks bullshit with such authority that people believe it. London says, that she gets Reza’s tone in intimidating. This leads Reza to start trashing London. He’s such a bully. All the fights distract Leila and she hits a bump of some kind. That shuts everyone up. For now. After a pitstop for fast food, Shervin takes over the driving for a bit. London never shuts up. She talks non-stop about her career, her website, etc. It’s annoying everyone. Especially, Reza. He can’t stand not being the center of attention.
In A Dark, Dark Wood
Over half way through the show, they finally arrive at their destination in the dark of night. There are giant trees all around so no moonlight can get through. Then, they all have to truck up multiple flights of wooden stairs to get to the front door. I could never make it. How are they supposed to get all that luggage up there? I have so many questions! Once inside, the house is huge, and I am sure expensive, but also very, very creepy. Golnesa reads them a not from the owners that basically says that the house is haunted. The ghost they need to avoid is named Buck. Most of the others are nice.
Mike and Destiney each have beautiful rooms on the second floor. Golnesa and Leila each have rooms on the first floor. Every room in the house has an insane amount of taxidermy. Nema and Shervin also have rooms on the first floor. London and Mercedeh are on the second floor of an adjoining cabin that is also quite nice. Reza and MJ are in adjoining rooms on the first floor of the cabin. Everyone is very happy with their rooms. That is a first. The first dustup comes when Mike hears Nema and Destiney talking about sex. Nema tells Destiney that Mercedeh sent a topless selfie to Mike, Shervin and him recently because she was mad at Tommy. NO! MERECEDEH! NO! She thinks that behavior is just fine. Suddenly, Mike lies about having sex for hours. Nema wisely points out, no man does that and no woman wants it.
Everyone Gets Wasted
Even a pitstop for fast food can’t keep these people from being wasted after ten plus hours of drinking. Golnesa says her braids are so heavy she can’t hold her drunken head up. Mercedeh is still bragging about her tits. Did she just buy new ones or something? Shervin, the most sober person in the house has cooked dinner for everyone and it looks amazing. He made lamb chops, ribeyes and tons of veggies. The dinner conversation turns back to Mike’s insane bragging about his stamina and ragging on Nema. Reza tells Nema, “When you have someone at the table who has been with Mike, why don’t your just ask?”
Mike tells Reza to shut the fuck up. I had forgot about Mike being in a relationship with Leila before he ALLEGEDLY hooked up with Golnesa. Not sure if that happened or not. He apparently had sex with Leila the night he got engaged to that poor girl whose name I have already forgotten. He starts screaming that he broke her (Leila’s) fucking bed! No man who has a functioning dick would ever speak like this. Most people sort of stumble to bed. Golnesa and Reza sit out by the fire. This crew is always pranking each other on trips. She tell Reza she brought fake toilet paper. It looks like toilet paper but you can’t tear it. They laugh and laugh. Reza feels badly about how he treated Leila. Golnesa shares that if Reza treats his best friend, MJ, the way he does, she can’t really trust him to stay friends with her. She’s right. Reza is a loser. He cries.
This looks like a GREAT TRIP from the previews. Am I right?
