Much like the last Family Karma Episode, this week’s Shahs of Sunset recap will feature a “Friendsgiving.” However, the Shahs are not nearly as open to making amends. This all results in things catching fire both literally and figuratively at London’s Friendsgiving celebration. Let’s get on with the second recap of three tonight. Send me strength LOL. I am actually looking forward to Shah’s after missing the last one.
We begin with Nema and London having some rosé by a pool at a hotel. Nema seems to really like London. They group is getting ready to go to Friendsgiving at London’s parent’s fancy house. Nema is really wanting to reconcile with Golnesa and so he asks London for some advice. I think Nema has always had a thing for Golnesa and she is not interested. He thinks Golnesa feels rejected. Across town, Destiney drops by Reza and Adam’s house to discuss Mike. Destiney says that she is really worried about Paulina. They were talking almost daily and since the Halloween party she has not been able to get in touch with her. She thinks Mike is keeping them apart and so does Reza.
MJ goes out for afternoon tea with Mike. She talks about daycare/prep school for Shams. Mike says that Reza dogging him about his wardrobe triggers him because as a child he was a poor immigrant who got clothes from K-Mart. Mercedeh says that is just Reza dealing with his own insecurities. She wants peace among her friends so Mike says he will sit down with Reza. Later, Nema meets with Golnesa. She goes in with a closed mind and a closed heart. She doesn’t trust him. Nema apologizes for not texting her congratulations on the birth of her son. He says he was afraid of rejection. Golnesa dismisses his feelings as ridiculous. Nema wants a relationship. Golnesa says she is open to a friendship. Baby steps.
Even More Fragile Relationships
I’m always shocked at scenes where someone is working out on a deserted beach in LA. Where are all the people? Do they run everyone off to film? I so want to be alone on a beach somewhere. Maybe it is because of the pandemic? Mike and Reza meet to try to resolve their issues before Friendsgiving. Mike asks Reza why he didn’t wash his filthy car. He says it has been sitting outside under a tree during the pandemic. He say because Mike says things about his attire, he just wanted to come dressed down and raw. Mike is immediately scoffing at that because he says that Reza is always mocking what he wears. Mike is correct about something for once.
Mike says he always has his back. Reza says that when Mike does things he should not be doing he resorts to “alternative facts.” Reza says that Mike triggers him. His dad cheated on his mother and when Mike cheats it brings all of that up. He feels uncomfortable around Paulina when he knows Mike is mistreating her. Mike is still claiming his online cheating was “spoof messages.” PUHLEASE. This is typical Mike behavior. Mike thinks Reza wanted to cause drama with Paulina. He is claiming that Reza sent the spoof messages. Mike lies. Reza denies telling Mike that Golnesa sent the spoof messages. They leave with no resolution.
Friendsgiving At London’s Mom’s House
London may be hosting Friendsgiving, but she can’t cook and neither can Nema so they are reheating takeout. At least they ordered the precooked turkey from D’Artagnan my favorite and very expensive meat place. I really need to order porkchop, chicken thighs and prosciutto. I’ve just been spending too much money lately to justify it. Let’s get through another credit card cycle. LOL. London doesn’t even know what appliance is the oven. Meanwhile Golnesa and her sister are making mashed potatoes. We haven’t seen Leila in a while. Destiney arrives with rosé.
There is NOT ENOUGH TOMMY on this episode. Just one little flashback. Mike arrives without Paulina. He really is hiding her away from the people who know him best for a reason. Reza arrives dressed as, I think Ingrid said in comments about Dorit, like Gucci luggage. But, unlike Dorit who sort of pulls it off, Reza also looks like a native American. I know it is winter but he has like 30 pound of clothes happening that does not show off his new figure at all. Literally all of it clashes. Be luggage or a be a native American. It’ a choice.
Friendsgiving Is A Problem Waiting To Happen
London’s girlfirend, Lillian arrives and she is drop dead gorgeous. Mercedeh is sad that Tommy cannot be there with her because of the restraining order. I am sad that Tommy can’t be there because he is my absolute favorite person on this show. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS BRAVO! Reza is also wearing what appears to be Gucci crocs. He’s a whole mess. As soon as they sit down, they manage to catch the table on fire. There are a million candles that are not properly set into the candle holders. It’s a disaster already. London is not a hostess. Everyone is starving and she is taking plates inside to serve one at a time. Everyone needs to do their own plates. MJ takes over the serving process.
Mike pretends that he is still remodeling an apartment complex. Mike is an idiot. He starts talking about everyone else’s accountability. Really, Mike? Mike says that Reza gets involved in his life and talks to him like a boy. Mike wants more reciprocation of his friendship. Sometimes friends have to hold each other accountable. They agree to a fresh start. Golnesa says she wants to ask where Paulina is but she is afraid he will bite her head off. Mike says that Paulina feels like people are trying to sabotage their relationship.
Reza said that Paulina would be there if he let her. Mike says that Paulina doesn’t like him because he sent the “spoof messages.” Oh Lord, here we go. Mike calls Paulina on speaker. Paulina says she doesn’t want to get into it right now. Mike asks if there is a level of trust that has been broken. She say, “Absolutely.” I am not buying this. And my recording stops there because Sunday nights are back to back to back shows.
Off to recap Big Brother!
