I’m excited for tonight’s Family Karma recap! This is the best show on Bravo. It is sad more of you are not watching it. It has plenty of drama. Mostly family drama. But there is also a lot of really light, fun stuff and the last episode had one of the most real moments ever to air on any reality show. Some of y’all are missing out and also the reason we can’t have nice things. I’m just saying.

Bali is hosting Friendsgiving again this year. It’s just for the younger friends group, not the Aunties. Bali is basically too old for the young cliché and not old enough for the Aunties. I blinked for a minute and suddenly Monica 2.0 (maybe?) and Anisha are talking about her dating life. Anisha can’t seem to find her Indian unicorn in Miami so she is relying on the Auntie Network to find her a man. Whoever she is talking to strongly recommends Anisha to get a vibrator. Later, Dillon take Anisha vibrator shopping.
We Are Family
Amrit and Nicholas are going to visit Amrit’s grandmother for the first time since Amrit came out to her. Nicholas is nervous. He doesn’t know if he should still touch her feet Amrit says not to do anything different, nothing has changed. Amrit’s grandma is such a treasure. She’s very kind to Nicholas. She asks what his family thinks. Sadly, Nicholas’s parents are evangelical Christians. So there are tensions there. Nicholas tried to pray the gay away for years before finally leaving the church. Amrit’s grandmother has enough love for the both of them.

Vishal and his mother go out for lunch overlooking the water. The views are lovely. Vishal’s mom pushes him to go for his brokerage license so that he can take over her real estate company. He also mentioned getting licensed in Memphis where Richa lives. She also runs a business with her mother. Neither of these two want to move to be with the other so they might as well just break up. Plus, their mothers can’t stand each other. Meanwhile, Brian has rented out an ice rink for a date with Monica 2.0 and Monica 1.0 and her boyfriend. But her boyfriend had to work. So it’s an awkward “sister wives” sort of thing. So Brian invited Vishal. Brian and Anisha’s mom get together to talk about their kids. And religion.
Friendsgiving Time
Last year at Friendsgiving, Brian was trying to rekindle a relationship with Monica 1.0. This year he is there with Monica 2.0. Anish looks really pretty. Maybe that new vibrator is making glow already. Monica 1.0 talks about her mother starting to try online dating. She doesn’t want her parents to date other people. I love parties at Bali’s house because she owns a florist and has all the best flower. The very unlikely pair of Anisha and Monica gang up on Vishal about buying properties to live in with Monica in both Miami and Memphis. Clearly, that vibrator is making Anisha more personable already!

Everyone starts in on Brian and his latest version of Monica. Monica 2.0 is already pushing for a $100,000 ring. Good luck with that girl. Vishal on the other hand already has Bali planning his proposal to Richa. Didn’t we already do this once? On my it is time for the dread question box for the table. Last year this didn’t go so well and was the reason Monica 1.0 stopped talking to Anisha. The question was where will the person next you be at 2 a.m. Anisha was seated next to Monica and said she would be in Brian’s room.
We’ve Got Questions!
Vishal has the first question, “If my name was Monica would Brian make out with me?” Ha! He made that up. Anisha says that her idea of a romantic weekend is on a yacht with Bali. Wow. So they could use their vibrators together? Monica 1.0 gets a Fuck, Marry, Kill question based on anyone in the room. She chooses Bali to fuck, Amrit to marry and Bali’s dog to kill. Wow. Brian’s question was who in the group would he have a one night stand with. He said no one. Anisha gives everyone a friendship gift of a small religious statue. Then she asks the group if anyone knows anyone for her. LOL. Thats my girl. Then all the guys jump in the pool.

So Friendsgiving went great this year. There was no fighting. Next, Brian takes Monica 2.0 on a nice lunch date. Monica is totally ready to get married. Monica says when she knows she knows. She’s already talking about babies and working part-time within three years. Brian says he is nowhere near ready for that. They have been together six months. She wants their parents to meet. Brian is losing his appetite. Brian let’s a bomb drop to production. He was laid off due to Covid and he has not told a soul? So, does he just pretend to go to work everyday?
Next week looks great! I am exhausted but it is Big Brother premiere night and I’m going to try my best to watch! Thank for reading!
I love this show. I am curious about the importance of touching the grandmothers feet?
I was wondering the same thing about the touching of the feet…was thinking it might be a sign of respect. This is my favorite show on Bravo…I legit love it.
I really love this show too. Currently it is my favorite Bravo show. Yes, there is drama but it isn’t over stupid things really. They know how to do it. You can’t get along, be civil and move on.
I am loving all the cultural beauty and learning about the different holidays and what they mean. I love the beautiful clothes and the music. I love the traditions. The cast is VERY likable so far. Even when they annoy you they are still endearing. I especially love the grandparents. They are hysterical and sweet.
I look forward to see how it is going to turn out for the different families and people. I find myself actually caring about them, not wishing they would fall off the planet. How unusual for a Bravo show.
In really hoping Bravo doesn’t screw this up somehow. Most shows start put great but by the 3rd season they are unwatchable. Hopefully the different generations on this show keep it real
We were THIS CLOSE to not getting a second second season. Bravo was really on the bubble about going forward. BECAUSE, SAY IT TOGETHER NOW, THE SUITS ARE IDIOTS!
same 🙂
So, it’s my first season watching this show, and Tamara, you were SO right, I wish I would have gotten in on this show on the first season! Their culture is so beautiful, the clothes, the food, the homes, how they problem solve….I’m all the way in!
Secondly – BIG BROTHER!!!!!
I was in tears watching the one young man come out to his grandma….and him showing respect by touching her feet….I was in TEARS. And his father was perfection, a model father. Love this show.
Brian and Monica 2.0 are on two completely different planets when it comes to their relationship. Bad timing.
Amrit’s family is fabulous; he’s a very lucky guy. Actually, I like all the families except for Vishal’s girlfriend’s mother.
Yeah, since when did Monica 2.0 suddenly get pushy about getting a marriage proposal? In previously episodes she didn’t seem that way. Maybe it’s her age and so the right timing for her, but Brian doesn’t feel the same to rush into marriage. The show has said it wasn’t too long ago that he was a player. If he got laid off that would mess with his self esteem and finances. If he doesn’t have a job, I wouldn’t want to buy $100,000 ring either. Do you think his comment about the ring made it hint that he thinks Monica 2.0 is too high maintenance ? He keeps saying that Indian girls want to marry doctors and even though he made a high salary, that it didn’t have the same prestige in their community. Or was it one of the Aunties that said that? It’s hard for me to keep the people in this show straight since there are so many. At this point it’s coming off that Monica 2.0 is more into Brian than he is into her. If it’s only been 6 months of dating, Monica needs to give it more time.
The scene at the ice skating rink was fun. Brian was being so romantic and cute. They can skate which I can’t. Even Monica 2.0 was able to keep herself standing upright for most of the time. Brian saying he didn’t want it to look like a sister wife situation between him and the Monicas was funny (but he was obviously enjoying it). Both women are very naturally pretty which is refreshing to see on T.V.
I have watched this show since the beginning. It doesn’t have the same mean villains as other Bravo shows, but that’s why it’s enjoyable to watch. It’s just a nice interesting slice of these friend’s and family’s lives. I hope the show doesn’t go to their heads and turn them into cringe worthy celebrities.
Mmmm there are no pictures of Monica on his Instagram. I think they are a cute couple and he said he loves her and she said you know when you know but he definitely hit the panic button.
This is hands down one of the best shows on TV right now! Thank you for being a fan and getting your followers to start watching (hopefully). Any show that has an incredible, important scene with Amrit and his Nanni and also has Gopal’s email request for vodka and a spicy chicken sandwich, I’m here for all day everyday
Touching the feet of elders is an age-old Indian tradition that is considered to be a mark of respect. Love the respect that these kids give to their parents & grandparents.
This is a good show. Bali should quit trying to be in her 20’s. She is not too young for an auntie, she looks the same age as groups’ mothers. I do not mind her , just dress appropriate for occasions and when your daughter is around. What happened to her boyfriend she was so crazy about? Monica 1.0 dodged a bullet with Brian, I see him living off his parents until he is much older, he seems nice but not very work motivated. It was nice when Amrit came out to grandmother but I did not like the way they kept at her until she said it was ok. She can still love him and have her feelings also.
They are COVID separated. He’s in another state, I want to say Kentucky.
Another fantastic episode!
Poor Brian lol. He looked like a deer in the headlights with 2.0. He needs to get back with 1.0 ASAP. I was surprised he lost his job too.
This is the show that will save bravo—it’s really become must see tv.
Bali is planning Amrit’s proposal to Nicholas
Yes, I ugly cried during that lovely scene with Amrit’s grandmother and Nicholas and Amrit. So lovely that someone with very old world beliefs can accept the happiness of her grandson.
Perfect!
I love this show!
I love this show ! I love the families and the culture being presented in a good light . There is a honesty that few shows have on bravo. I’m sure Monica 2.0 knew he lost his job during filming . I was shocked at the end.
Brian wants Monica 1.0 period. That’s his jam. Monica 2.0 is great and he likes her but she is a rebound chick. Monica 1.0 is smart and made the best decision for what she wants for herself despite her attraction to Brian.
I feel like they might get back to gather eventually???
Brian seems to want what he can’t have….likes the thrill of the “chase.” Was not interested in Monica 1.0 when she was interested but when she moved on he was all for it. He is a bit immature for Monica 2.0 or anybody right now.
She was never interested
i am confused between the Monicas. Brian is a little cheesy. I love this show. I especially love that the producers are involved in the show, and the parents as well are so great.
Monica 1.0 and 2.0 have also been friends before Brian was friends with 2.0. I think he should meet the parents and find out if they actually do put him down for his career. If they do then he should break up with her. Also Monica 2.0 is rushing to have kids, I am just going to assume it is an Indian thing. Honestly most of the parents on the show were already married with several children by the kids age so there is probably also a familial pressure to keep up.
I think Vishal and Richa love and care for each other but the distance probably makes a lot of things difficult. Neither wants to leave their family so it will be major sacrifice for whoever has to do it. It seems like Richa would have more connections in Florida so maybe she should move? They have to account for whose business is more logical for the future.
I liked the scene with Anisha and Dillon. Having Dillon as a supporting character is better. He has that Marlo Hampton thing where they work best in a supporting role. When they are in the spotlight they become overwhelming quickly.
Brian and Vishal both have similar problems. They are super immature mama’s boys. Neither are ready to be grown men or get married. Richa and Monica 2 should move on. It’s going nowhere with these losers. And it was Covid so it’s not surprising Brian got laid off. He’s an IT guy who works at home. He can hide that easily.
Also, Bali works for a florist. She doesn’t own it.
Bali is currently keeping herself busy with several enterprises. Since 2013, Bali has worked as a sales and marketing executive at Equiflor Corporation. Equiflor is an established floral brand that grows, imports, markets, and distributes specialty flowers on a worldwide scale. In addition, Bali founded No Sharam Merch with her fellow cast member Anisha Ramakrishna. Bali and Anisha are two of the closest friends on Family Karma, and their decision to go into business together is a no-brainer. No Sharam sells a variety of merchandise, from loungewear to neon signs.
That’s hardly working at a florist. If you have such disdain for Brian and Vishal, perhaps you should stop watching the show. You don’t seem to have the appreciation for it that it deserves, KAREN.
Love this show and pray that production doesn’t screw it up!
