Tonight, it is finally time for the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Recap of the reunion! I doubt we will get too much of the interesting stuff until part two. But you never know… Alli, Sydney and Dani all look a lot different to me and not in a good way. Alli looks like a whole different person. So does Sydney. Neither in a good way. They both look like little kids playing dress-up with their mother’s makeup and clothes.
We get a bit of back and forth between Daisy and Gary. So far it is just rehashing old boring arguments on the boat. I guess that is what a reunion is about, at least for Housewives. But, for this crew I’m more interested in what is going on now. What has happened since they left the boat. Daisy and Gary continue to argue about whether or not Gary called Daisy a bitch. Andy points out this is the first ever season of any Below Deck where all the stews got along with the chief stews.
Glenn Love His Crew This Season
Glenn explains why he is a little more lenient this season. Also, because of COVID they were stuck on the boat so they were allowed a bit more freedom. He’s just basically a laid back kind of guy. Sailing Yachts in general are a bit more casual. I’m bored. My expectations of this reunion were clearly too high. Although, the second part with Jean-Luc should be good. I despise the negative edit of Natasha. I am not even going to acknowledge it. Are we really going to spend ten minutes counting pitas? Apparently so. Le sigh. I’m no longer just bored. I’m irritated. It looks like Andy wants to pile on Natasha.
Thank GOD! Finally a view asks Daisy if she realized the condescending manner in which she spoke to Natasha was making matters worse. Daisy says she loves her condescending tone and sort of misses the whole point. Gary and Glenn both highly compliment Natasha’s food. They both say they are still trying to lose all the weight they gained on charter. Everyone says the would want to work with Natasha again except Daisy. She finally raises her hand when she realizes everyone else did. I really think Daisy thought she ranked above Natasha on the boat. She did not. They are equal in status. I’d like to see Daisy talk to Ben, or Matt or Leon the way she talked to Natasha. She would NEVER.
Deck Crew Drama
UGH! Banjo had to go out in the rain so I stood there holding the door and one of these weird blind huge flying insects got in the house. This is almost a nightly occurrence. I’ve never seen this sort of bug before and it buzzes like a mosquito and blindly runs into things. LIKE MY FUCKING FACE. Sorry, back to Captain Glenn talking about crashing the boat. Captain Glenn says he would rather talk about #PitaGate more than to have this conversation.
In other news, Gary said he never really got along that well all season working with Jean-Luc. Sydney said that Jean-Luc was very, very green. I don’t think Colin was not that found of Jean-Luc either. Gary said Jean-Luc really struggled to take initiative and get things done. Captain Glenn said Jean-Luc didn’t get the urgency of what had to be done. I think the show focused more on Jean-Luc and Dani and less on the fact that Jean-Luc was a crappy deckhand. Of course they did show him taking naps here and there but it seems we didn’t get the full scope of how bad it was. Everyone agrees that Gary was a great department head. Gary is currently filling in as CAPTAIN of Parsifal III while Captain Glenn is at his vacation home in Spain.
Gary Tries To Save Face
Finally we get to Gary and his womanizing. Sydney throws out the first salvo and says that Gary knew exactly what he was doing with the women. Gary says that “it takes two to Tango” and while he was in a supervisory position, these things happen on boats. He says if (I suppose he is talking to Sydney) wants to say they have never had a one night stand then… Daisy cuts in and sort of supports Gary. But she ends by saying that as the person in the leadership role the blame has to fall on him. Captain Glenn said that both Sydney and Gary handled their jobs in a very professional way despite their personal difficulties with each other.
We wind things up with more on the love triangle. All of these girls look so much prettier naked and wet with no makeup on. However, Daisy does look stunning tonight. Gary basically called Sydney a drunken hookup on national television. He’s a bit callous toward Sydney. One of the viewer questions asks if Gary felt badly for being a twat to pretty much all the women on the boat. He says, “I guess yes?” and then mutters “stupid question.” Most of the female crew thinks Gary was a twat to all the girls on the boat. Natasha refuses to pile on. Gary is pissed. Gary says that Sydney had feelings for him, and He had feelings for Alli dumped him. Also did Alli get lip injections or have they always been like that? She looks so bizarre. Alli says she did have feelings for Gary.
NEXT TIME: Everyone piles on Jean-Luc since he is not there. Alli accuses Gary of having a girlfriend the whole time. I bet he doesn’t anymore! LOL.
