In tonight’s RHOD recap, it is time to wrap up the trip to Austin. We begin in the middle of a conversation between Brandi and Tiffany. I believe it started with Brandi telling Tiffany that she didn’t feel she could be herself around her or something. Tiffany lists a string of things she likes about Brandi and then asks her what she thinks about her. Brandi just mumbles something about Tiffany being an amazing person but she feels like she is holding back around her. Tiffany feels like Brandi feels shame everytime she sees her and there is nothing she could do about that.
Kary wants everyone to hold hands and jump in the lake together as a sign of unity. No one really wants to do it. But they do. Tiffany is miserable getting out of the lake. She goes straight to her room. The girls go to check on her and she is crying and says she is just tired. Tiffany finally has a breakdown with D’Andra. Tiffany is just under too much stress. She working crazy hours in the pandemic. And she is filming the show full time. Also, it is the first time she left her kids for a weekend. And what set it off wasn’t so much Brandi, but she feels like her castmates so like her and she doesn’t fit in. Despite all of her accolades and accomplishments, she still feels insecure and worthless on the inside. WOW.
Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jog
The next morning Stephanie had to leave early for some reason. Probably to miss the bus ride home. Also, Tiffany left early without telling anyone except D’Andra. Apparently, nothing happened on the ride home because the next scene everyone is back in the big D. Tiffany unpacks and wipes every single thing down with disinfectant wipes. Even the soles of her shoes. Brandi is such a bitch. Tiffany went to many different schools and was always the new kid. I get it, I went to three first grades, two fifth grades and two seventh grades. I think. I,ve blocked most of those “new kid” memories. I am unmoved by Brandi’s letter to herself. Let’s just move on.
Stephanie has Kary bring her daughter, Olivia, to chat with her about her mental health. I’m going to fast forward through this. Next we see D’Andra’s mom stop by to visit her daughter and hear about the trip. Her mom thinks everyone is jealous of her, or of D’Andra. D’Andra is planning to have the shaman come to her house and do a session with the other ladies. For once, I’m down for all the idiots getting saged and whatnot.
Who Is This Woman And What Have You Done With Kary?
Kary seems like a lovely human being. What’s up with that? Why is she having Tiffany over for champagne by the pool? What’s her ulterior motive? Oh there is the real Kary. I thought she was going to try to understand why Tiffany left and support her for a minute there. What was I thinking? Kary just wanted to make her feel bad about leavings. She says she felt disrespected because she didn’t get a goodbye. UGH. She said leaving was rude and disrespectful and demands to know why she did it. Tiffany says she was embarrassed by her emotional outburst and she didn’t want to rehash it on the bus. Kary offers to throw her a birthday party.
It’s time for the Shaman Shindig. Apparently three years ago the shaman was Stephanie’s hairdresser. He used to be cute. Brandi feels embarrassed about her conversation with Tiffany. So, it looks like they are both looking for closure. God knows I am. The ladies all arrive in white dresses, and allegedly sober. Then Tiffany gives everyone an apology candle. Brandi asks to speak with Tiffany privately. And that is…to be continued. And next week looks even weirder.
