Many of you have asked about how to send well wishes to Michael Kelcourse, the much beloved butler and friend of Pat Atlschul. The latest update includes two ways to do just that. Michael is at Shepherd Spinal, receiving without question the best therapy available. Part of his therapy includes pet therapy with the centers six dogs who live there. I believe they are yellow labs if I recall correctly. Michael loves dogs to that is bringing him some comfort.
It appears that Michael is currently paralyzed on the lower half of his body. Hopefully, he can qualify for receiving an implant that can mechanically stimulate his spine. Either way, he’s in for a very long haul to recovery and we certainly wish him all the best.
If you’d like to send a card, I understand that Michael really appreciates the contact. Due to Covid he is not allowed any in person visitors. Here is the address:
Shepherd Center
Attention: Michael Kelcourse, Room 411
2020 Peachtree Road NW
Atlanta, Georgia 30309-1426
If you prefer to send an electronic message, you can do that here. You can also check in there for updates. Luzanne Otte is taking care of the site for Michael. I’m so happy to see that Luzanne is running the site. We’ve spoken a few times and I am firmly of the belief that she has a direct line to God. Her prayers are so calming. I used to ask her to pray for me and I just feel like they really work. So I am so glad she is there for Michael.
Thank you so much for the information. I love that man and will send him a card. You are wonderful, TT.
You revealed how authentically kind you are. An angel. Thank you dear!
Tamara, you’re kind heart is such a blessing to us. Thank you for this update. I’ve been so sad about this. Praying so hard for Michael.
Thanks, but I am just passing on information. The real blessing is Luzanne Otte. She’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever been privileged to know. She really inspires me to be a better person.
We appreciate the update from you and the blessing that is Luzanne Otte. It’s life affirming to be reminded angels walk among us and to also be that blessing to others. Prayers for Michael’s full recovery!
I have sent a card. I just hate this for him. Micheal is “Southern Charm”.
Yes he is. The glue that holds my favorite crazies together
Thank you. He is definitely in great hands at Shepherd. A patient from Long Island with a brain injury was sent to Shepherd after hospitals in NY said there was nothing else to be done for her. Her Dad was a wealthy businessman and had her flown to Atlanta for care at Shepherd. The work they did for that young woman was remarkable.
TT, prayer really does work BTW. meanwhile, thank you for this info. I love watching him now that I am binging every season of Southern Charm again. I feel so bad for him. Thanks for this info again.
I grew up about 5 miles from the Shepherd center and attended the same school as their kids, their son James was in South America and diving. He was parylyzed misspelled so his Parents founded The Shepherd Center. They lost both James and his sister Dana so now only Mom Alana and their other son is alive. James died about a year ago. My Aunt left a bunch of money to Shepherd, she never married. Having said that I will be sending well wishes to sweet Michael.
Thank you so so much for the update on Michael. And it’s so very comforting to know that he has so many good people that are there to look out for him and care for him and that when he does get out of the hospital he’s got people there that are going to be there for him. He’s such a wonderful human being and this breaks my heart that this has happened to him. Blessings to you and thank you again.
Thank you for letting us know Michael’s continuing condition, many prayers and good wish each day 🙏🏻🙏🏻💕 We love him so much and is such a wonder kind and gentle person . We love Southern Charm and he and Patricia are absolutely are perfect duo to show and entertain real “ Southern Hospitality “. Please keep us in the loop and our prayers for his speedy recovery
I wish you the strongest of recoveries,Michael! You need to get back to Patricia and her pug! You are a kind man with a big heart!
My pug,Lollipop, and I are thinking of you all the time!
Thank you TT. I’ve been wondering how he’s doing. Been wanting to cut down on my blog reading time and used Michael as the determining factor. I wanted to support bloggers who care about people who we all know you do.
Before Luzanne left social media, I had a DM convo about all the bloggers who lent support during a terrifying ordeal. “TT is good people. I wish she and Banjo would bail from the reality show circus to save themselves the drama. She’s a really good person and held out a hand when I was at my lowest.” Refreshingly optimistic, grateful heart, and God on speed dial makes for an ideal care team for Michael.
I saw Patricia posted a picture of Whitney with Michael not long ago. I was glad to see he took the time to show Michael some love. I wonder what Patricia and Michael’s relationship is like now. I can’t imagine he’ll move into her historic home. I’m sure his whole plan was to live there until Patricia died, then retire. Th stroke was a real 180 to his life plan. Since he can’t work at the old job and needs to focus on healing, I wonder how that works. I’m sure all savings were blown through at his rehab facility. I hope Patricia and Whitney are helping pay his bills, as well as supporting his emotional struggles from this life altering experience.
Count your lucky blessings everyone. Life has many, many surprises for us, Gods blessings to Michael, Luzanne and TT. I hope these posts do well enough to continue writing them. Appreciate the updates.
