After a one week inexplicable hiatus, it’s time to catch up with the RHOD. It is the second night of the trip to Austin, and this RHOD recap resumes with the dinner brawl under the full moon. The ladies all seem to have issues with someone and it is time to air it all out. I can’t wait to see how this plays out. D’Andra has already stormed off. Kary goes to get a drink. That leaves Tiffany and Kameron and Stephanie. Both our girls have issues with Tiffany’s condescending behavior. Stephanie says that all of her rules at the her pizza party and all of her bragging made her feel unwelcome. Tiffany says she loves rules. Tiffany seems to have a bit of realization over that.
DON’T Correct Me If I’m Wrong…
Then Stephanie mentions that Tiffany’s constant correcting of people’s word usage, particularly Kameron is rude. Tiffany apologizes and says she doesn’t even know she is doing it. So please bring it to her attention the next time. YAY! This is how differences should be handled. It should have ended there But it didn’t. Which is annoying because I want these three to be the core of the group! Tiffany uses her intelligence to make other people feel stupid. But the truth is Kameron is smarty and for whatever reason has decided to channel Lucille Ball since she began the show. So she can’t really break character now.
Tiffany goes into a whole tirade about how she wants to teach everyone how to use words correctly. Tiffany is like those annoying people who want to come in and complain about other peoples typos in posts or comments. Never in the history of life has anyone appreciated those types of people. As Kameron says, what do you get out of that. Tiffany (and grammar Nazis?). It’s not coming from a good place ever. It’s coming from a place of meanness. Tiffany doesn’t need to be the educator at the table. She needs to be a friend. And so far, she kind of sucks at it. Also, I could beat her on Jeopardy. Did she just say, “Okay I will just never correct you and just let you be wrong.”
Lez Be Friends
Oh Lord, Kary is back. And so is Brandi with Captain Dick. Tiffany wants someone to go check on D’Andra and Kameron gets the short straw. Kameron is so sweet to D’Andra though. She tells her that Kary does want to be her friend. She talks D’Andra into staying in Austen and talking with Kary soberly the next day. Kary and Brandi drunkenly dance with a the blow up Captain Dick. They are both so very emotionally stunted. Those too were up until dawn humping Captain Dick and breaking shit until 5 am.
The next morning Captain Dick is not the only one feeling deflated. D’Andra is fresh as a daisy listen to an audio of her shaman helping her meditate. I am starting to like weird shaman guy. I could use that meditation tape. The next morning they all hula hoop. Kam wins the hula hoop challenge and this really pisses off Tiffany. She cannot STAND to lose. Especially, to my girl Kam. The girls get ready for a houseboat cruise. Production is doing and excellent job of coming up with great setting in the pandemic.
It’s Called A Hangover, Not Motion Sickness
Before they even leave for the house boat, someone of them are wasted on tequila. There is a hot tub on the houseboat! Everyone is worried about being seasick. Tiffany, the brainiac doesn’t seem to realize that you don’t get seasick on a lake. They are on Lake Austin! Not a cruise ship in the Atlantic. Nevertheless, Brandi passes out Zofran to everyone because they are all nauseous despite still being at the dock. Tiffany tells everyone that it will dissolve under their tongues. Alas, it is a pill that they need to swallow. What they .really need to do is puke and rally like normal people. And stop drinking tequila for breakfast.
Somehow Brandi is all kinds of upset. She thinks that Tiffany saying that it was not the sublingual verison of Zofran. This whole thing makes no sense. Moving on, Brandi wants to teach D’Andra and Kary something she learned in her “treatment for being a racist.” This should be interesting. But probably not this interesting. Basically, the face each other, put their hand on the other’s heart and close their eyes and tell each other what they love about each other. They both cry and love each other and make up. FOR NOW. In their talking heads they both say the same things. You always hurt the ones you love. And their friends are their family.
Tell Me S’more!
Tiffany talks about all the hurtful things that have been said to her at work. By the way HWSNBN called Covid THE CHINA VIRUS again, despite all the horrific attacks on Asians that he is responsible for. On another part of the boat Brandi is whining about not knowing what not to say around Tiffany. It’s simple Brandi. Don’t say the racist stuff.
Kameron has a whole plan worked out to scare the girls to get back at them for all the years of pranks they have pulled on her. She has the hotel staff in on her drama. They are going to tell ghost stories by the water and when she says, “Gurrrrrllllll that is so frightening, someone will coming running out with a scary mask and a chainsaw ala Texas Chainsaw massacre. I do agree with Tiffany when she says Brandi asks like she is five and has immature humor. Kameron’s scary ghost story is not scary at all. Brandi is the next to tell one. No one is scared. Nevertheless, the chainsaw guy comes out and Tiffany claims she shit herself. Stephanie peed herself. Then they all go to bed.
And Your Enemies Closer
Now that Kary and D’Andra are fast friends again, and it is a free day, Steph, Tiffany and Kam go for a ride in a convertible. And go for a hike. Kam says she went to outdoor school for middle school. She slept in a tent. That sounds like one of those places that Dr. Phil sends wayward teens. I love her more for that. Stephanie is finally impressed by Tiffany when they pee in the woods. Then they have a snack. Tiffany says she really appreciates being pampered instead of being the caregiver all the time. Kam talks about the sale of her house but she feels like she is not included in the process. Kam also wants a bigger voice in the marriage. Tiffany wants to be a stay at home mom. She has mom guilt and want to cut back her hours to have one day off.
Meanwhile, Kary, Brandi and D’Andra sit by the lake and chat. Then the final morning comes with a huge fancy breakfast. And of course drinks. Maybe it is brunch, or lunch. What ever it is, I want it. Brandi confronts Tiffany and asks her if she feels awkward around her. I think Brandi feels bad about her Asian debacle. Tiffany says she doesn’t. But Brandi still seems to be dealing with a bit of shame and embarrassment. She says that see feels guarded around her like she can’t be herself. Tiffany says that she never thought that Brandi intended to hurt anyone when she made the video. The episode ends with Tiffany asking Brandi what she thinks about her.
Then we see in a preview for next week, Tiffany crying and packing her stuff and going home.
