I’m not really sure we even need a third reunion episode for this show. Nevertheless, we have one so there is one final RHOSLC recap for this season. The new season is already filming and everyone is back. Let us pray that the next season will not air at 10pm. The only thing worse than a 10 pm recap, is a 10 pm recap of a reunion.
The Husbands Take The Stage
It’s time for the husbands to join the party. Seth and Robert Sr. are there virtually. The others are there in person. Sharrieff tries to explain why he was not at Jen’s dad’s funeral. He was at the wake. Whitney’s husband was kicked out of the Mormon church, I guess over marrying Whitney. He seems to still be sad about that. Robert Sr. is still very upset about the grandpa fucker comments. He says he was hesitant about the show from the beginning. This leads to Mary telling him that he was not and these two start bickering. Mary seems to have no problem telling him what to think and how to act at the reunion.

Robert Sr. goes on a whole spiel about how great Mary is as a pastor and a mother. This makes Mary emotional. Sharrieff tells Robert Sr. that he told Jen that speaking the way she did about him and about Mary was unacceptable. Andy wants Coach Shaw to give him pep talks. These two are very understanding toward each other. Next, we find out that Whitney’s dad is not speaking to her so she has no clue how he is doing. He just disappeared after visiting for his birthday. She hasn’t seen or heard from him since. He doesn’t respond to her texts. She’s very upset about this.
Is Meredith’s Marriage Really Okay?
Andy asks Meredith if the reports that they had filed for divorce before the show started filming and then they rescinded the paperwork. She says it is true, Seth had filed for divorce. She says they have separated multiple times in the past. Andy asks how the show has effected their marriage. Meredith says the show helped their marriage. It caused her to face situations rather than sweeping things under the rug. Jen gets called out for talking about Meredith’s marriage behind her back. Jen seems to think everyone talked behind Meredith’s marriage. Then the men leave the stage.

The girls talk about how Jen expects total loyalty but is not loyal to her friends. Everyone admits feeling that way except for Lisa. Lisa seems to have distanced herself from everything except Jen since filming wrapped. Heather brings up some really mean things that Jen said about her behind her back. “She buys clothes off the rack at Dress Barn” and “She thinks she is an actress but the only roles she will get is as a manatee or Shrek.” Wow. And Heather stuck up for Jen the entire season. Jen claims to not remember why she said that. Mary fell asleep in her chair.
Jen Is A Total Nutcase
For some reason Jen is crying over the group therapy season in Vegas. She says the therapist kept saying that she was a bully. Well, she was a bully to all of the women this season. Now she is saying that as a woman of color that is very hurtful. So, maybe don’t bully people then? Andy wants to know what the women did to make her feel marginalized. She says they were calling her aggressive. Whitney and Heather point out that she is being aggressive right now.

Jen goes on a whole rant about how you cannot call a woman of color aggressive or say she is threatening them. Whitney points out that Jen threatening her life was on the show. She did that. She was a bully. And she was aggressive and she did threaten Whitney’s life. She lectures Heather, Whitney and Meredith on white privilege. They all acknowledge their white privilege. But they also all acknowledge that Jen is an aggressive, threatening, bully. The three white women all feel like Jen called them racist. Jen goes back stage to find her husband and sobs hysterically. Whitney calls her husband to see if she is still there because Jen accused her of being racist.
OMG I can’t with Jen’s version of what happened that she tells Sharrieff. She’s delusional. At the end Andy asks if there is anything they learned about themselves by watching the show. Jen literally says she needs to change her communication so that her friends don’t feel threatened when they come to her. They end eating meatballs..
I would like just a Heather and Whitney spin off like Khloe and Kourtney take over show.
Mary is an asshole.. falling asleep like she’s Ramona or some shit.. Holier than thou Lisa can go F off, and cracked out on (allegedly) Xanax tilted head with her 3 words the whole show.. I mean I don’t know what it was about this particular reunion but I’m majorly triggered and just want to bitch and moan about it. I think it must be the religion stuff.. it’s just so f-ed up..
Jen should have made up with Heather, they have feeling left out in common, unfortunately Jen missed that goodbye with her shrek comment.. well that and screaming so hard she was about to bust a vein in her forehead.. not aggressive at all.. ?
spot on!!!
It wasn’t so much the religion stuff, for me it was the race stuff! what a deflection.
Am I the only person who watched Jen shah be an aggressive, trigger hair insane person? When did it become em vogue and normal to allow a person to be a crazy asshole and not call them on it simply because said friend’s skin hue is a few shades darker? WTF.
Nope not the only one. She was fucking awful all season and Twitter is going nuts about her trying to play the race card to make her behaviors “untouchable” by white people.
Omg I cannot with Jen. Using the whole she’s a woman of color card, she’s had it so bad & poor, poor me. Just stop! I’m so over people acting like a damn victim after they are the cause of their behavior. Don’t act a fool if you don’t wanna be called a fool. It’s pretty simple.
Yep, get used to it. This is the new thing on most of these shows. Poor, poor, jen has not done too bad by the looks of things. It’s just an excuse to deflect her bad behaviour..now she can use racism.
oh yeah, she will throw that race card now anytime someone comments on her behaviour. I can’t believe that they all sat there and took it.
Last time I sobbed like that I had just had my cat put to sleep, does she freak out like this often? I mean she was really hysterical. I sense that Sharif is a bit controlling but I do like him very much and how can he put up with her bullshit?
I enjoy watching Heather. Whitney’s voice gets on my nerves. Meridith looked so good even though she is so boring. Lisa is awful. She wouldn’t stay seated so they should have just made her stand off to the side. Jen and Mary are the worst!
Jen playing the race card is stupid. She is aggressive and clearly has deeply rooted emotional problems. She really could’ve used this platform as a POC better, not only is she the only Pacific Islander housewife but the only Muslim one aswell. But she decided to be a fashion snob, disrespectful and show herself up. That is her problem, not the other ladies.
I actually thought at one point that Heather was being super cautious with comments about Jen since she’s a regular customer at her Spa. Apparently not. I hope Jen changes and tones down the theatrics next season as it was “all about Jen” right from the gate this year. The reunion doesn’t give me much hope.
I can’t believe Jen would write such hateful things about Heather, who had her back most of the season.
Jen is interesting and volatile. I enjoy her antics. Nonetheless, she IS aggressive, loud, rude, mean, and completely self-absorbed. She really is a perfect HW.
She played the race card because it was all she had to try to excuse her awful behavior. It failed. Hopefully, she will learn some self-control and self-awareness, but I doubt it.
I am amazed at how many people in this world look at facts, at hard, cold, undeniable evidence, and pretend the facts don’t exist. Total deniers of REALITY. Such hard headed idiots. It’s astounding, really.
Meredith and Lisa seem to be on a different page friendship wise . Meredith is gorgeous and was beautifully dressed, but she isn’t a fit for a reality show. That was bizarre when Jen stormed up and left . I think she realized she had no other excuses so she thought this was her way out. I can’t imagine her husband will put up with that craziness. I love the different scenery and think this housewives series has potential but Jen ruins a lot of it.
I agree. Meredith is only on the show to plug Brookes and his business ventures. I find her really boring and she doesn’t fit. She’s a bit snobby and too classy. I hate to say it but her marriage isn’t going to last. Move on..
As a woman of color, I can’t stand Jen. She is aggressive asf and she is justifying her behavior and it pisses me off. When people are really marginalized, her using racism weakens the argument for those really experiencing racism. She is a horrible friend and I don’t really enjoy watching her. Who talks about a best friend like she talked about Heather? She’s talked about everyone on this stage, I see why she had to hire a fake staff for the show, no one wants to be around her.
I like this entire group together. If they keep the same group, it will be interesting. Shoot me now, I like Mary too. She seems to be taking growths opportunities seriously. She knows when she is wrong and owns up. with I appreciate. We had a minister who lived the high life and over his means, and it ended in disaster in our church. But I must say, I kind of thought the same thing that Mary said at the reunion. The tithing in that church could barely cover a handbag, much less the insane money she spends. I’d be curious about their net worth and whether they take paychecks.
I love Heather, but she seems deeply scared by the rejection of her divorce. I get that and she becomes suspicious of other people you love suddenly leaving you. I hope she can get some help with that issue. She’s too fun and successful to live in fear of rejection.
I went back and watched the season again after I was invested the people. I caught so much more. Bring Mary back into the fold and they have a great housewife mix! 🙂
As a white woman, I like to listen to people of color share their experiences and I am trying to learn more about my own privileges and how I can change and raise my children to be better allies to marginalized communities. On the flip side of that coin, I find it incredibly frustrating that Jen cannot see her own behavior in the situation. She cannot remove herself from the narrative to see that these women were just showing how her own actions affected the relationships in the group. I am disappointed in Jen Shah I honestly thought I was going to love her. Team Heather until I die.
I agree but Mary and Jen are pretty privileged.
I really like Coach Shah. I’m sure he’s going to talk to Jen about her bull*hit when he watches the part of the reunion where she went nuts.
TT, if you get any word about Whitney’s dad (and his hair) during the off season, send up a bat signal at the old place so I can come get some Tea.
* stands for s
Peace out!
~APG~
hahahah
I want a bat signal too! How do I get one?
I would love an update on her dad. I really hope he is not using.
I am trying to think of, why would he be mad at Whitney? Because of the show? Of how he came off on the show? Or something else?
Any ideas Queen TT?
I don’t know whether Jen is bipolar and should be on meds, or if she’s just plain old looney tunes, but, once again, she was out of control last night. It was interesting watching her run off stage, sob hysterically to her husband and then walk back on stage and act (and look) like nothing had just happened. Her husband either really loves her or is afraid of what she might do if he ever left her. We all know she’s never, ever going to change.
Mary seemed more subdued last night but, again, I feel sorry for her husband. They seem to have more of a business arrangement than a marriage. I have a hell of a time understanding her when she speaks, so I hope they continue to use subtitles for her next season.
I like Lisa’s husband — not Lisa.
Meredith’s husband looked like he wanted to say more about their marriage than Meredith would let him say. I hope things work out for them.
I love Whitney and her husband. He seems like such a nice guy and it made me so sad to see how badly he’s been affected by the Mormon Church kicking him out. I hope Whitney’s dad is OK. I think he’s basically punishing her because she wouldn’t give him the money so he could open his own salon.
Heather is, hands down, my favorite woman on the show. Again, it makes me sad that the Mormon Church has impacted her life the way it has. I hope she continues to build confidence in herself, that her business thrives and that she finds the love she’s been looking for.
Thanks for all of your recaps Tamara.
Lisa Cheeto Hands Vida Tequila’s website is down/expired. I guess she was too busy flying around the stage with her orange hands to keep the business side of Tequila mogul up and running. She was a trip this reunion, she came in with her flaming Cheeto hands a blazing.
Oh my god! Cheeto hands! Ha ha ha
Yes! That is priceless!
? yea those Cheeto hands were a lot to process! ??
Has Heather projected all her feelings of being rejected in her marriage onto Meredith? Almost like it isn’t Meredith but her husband.
Mary’s husband seemed intimidating to me. Coach Shah appeared to defer to him somewhat.
I think Mary might be the most interesting of this crew. She dozed off at least twice that we saw
I worry that Bravo continues to hire housewives who clearly have mental health issues. It is dangerous to place these people in such high stress situations. As a mental health professional, I feel upset knowing that sick people are being manipulated into situations so that they react in ways that are really unhealthy for everyone.
well who in their right mind would want to be on the show unless you are promoting your business. Most of them have businesses. Look how well Bethenny did.
I loved everything about SLC tbh. I was sold even on Jen when the whole cast actually addressed her insanity instead of waiting for fan reaction and the next season. Not quite the Siggy Flicker downfall, but still pretty damn entertaining.
I just love Whitney and Heather. I’m so moved by their kindness, intelligence and humor. Their family lives are actually interesting for a change too. Ugh. Bravo Bravo. I think Meredith/Brooks and Mary are great characters on the show as well. Can’t wait for more.
