Let’s see if I can knock out a 90 Day Finance recap today. Anxiety is still an issue and I am hoping that the temperature will rise above freezing in an hour or so so that I can dash to the corner store without worrying about the icy roads. I hope everyone is safe out there and has power and heat!
Mike & Natalie
Natalie wants to talk about the wedding, but Mike isn’t into it. Natalie only has 45 days left on her visa to get married. She thinks they should go to therapy. Mike isn’t into that either. They really don’t have anything in common. Still for some reason, I am pulling for them. They can’t even agree on how to cut up vegetables. Mike goes to get his hair cut by his friend Jane. They talk about Natalie and she jokes about going on a date. Jane encourages him to go the counseling with Natalie.
Mike finally agrees to go to therapy with Natalie. She’s very optimistic. He’s not happy to be there. Basically, they are both miserable. Mike says he doesn’t think they are in love anymore. This is not going well. She asks him if he wants her to go home. He doesn’t really answer. Mike seems ready to call it quits. They leave with more pain than they came with. It’s sad.
Jovi & Yara
These two also have 45 days left to marry. They are going to a his family’s house for an engagement party. This is the first time that Yara gets to meet Jovi’s dad. He has been working out of town since she arrived. Yara didn’t want an engagement party at all but agreed to a small one. Jovi’s mom has apparently invited about 60 people. This will not end well. Yara tells Jovi’s dad that she doesn’t like living in NOLA. He says that she should not be roaming around the city by herself. And she should dress more conservatively when she goes out. Yara doesn’t care what he thinks.
This visit is not going well. His parents imply that Ukrainians are all trying to move to the US. Yara points out that this is a stereotype kind of like “All Americans are stupid.” But there is a bit of truth to both stereotypes. Yara says she would rather go live in Budapest. Jovi and his parents go to a crawfish boil leaving Yara to take a nap. Yara wants to announce that she is pregnant at the party. Jovi thinks it is too soon to tell everyone. I agree with Jovi. Yara is in a really bad mood. They fight all the way to the party. She wants to go home to Ukraine.
Tarik & Hazel
It seems that all of the couples are half way through their visas. That said they are all in different months. I almost forgot about Tarik’s daughter that lives with him. She’s cute. It’s April for this couple and they are having to quarantine and stay home. To make matters worse, Hazel’s son in the Philippines is running a fever. Poor Hazel is really worried about him. She doesn’t want to talk to Tarik about it. Then she checks on her son and he is doing much better.
Stephanie & Ryan
This entire relationship is utterly ridiculous. The hula-hooping makes it even more absurd. All this woman talks about is how much money she gives to Ryan’s family. Ryan feels like Stephanie tries to control him and his family with money.
Stephanie is worried that Ryan doesn’t want to have sex with her. She checks in with her psychic to tells here that Ryan isn’t faithful. Shocking! At dinner, Stephanie tells Ryan that the psychic said that she sees him coming to America, marrying her, and then leaving her for a younger woman. Ryan thinks that psychic are like the devil. Stephanie says that Ryan’s mom wants him to have babies. He says he does not want kids. All these two do is argue about hypothetical situations. Four hours later they have a huge fight and Ryan goes home in a cab. Apparently, Stephanie isn’t getting any sex on night two either! I have no idea what the fight was about.
Zied & Rebecca
I feel sorry for Zied. He has not had a soft landing in America. Rebecca gives Zied some temporary tattoos. Is he twelve? Later they go to dinner with Rebecca’s daughter, boyfriend and some random blond. Rebecca is not amused that the blond wants to help Zied move. Zied doesn’t seem to get that Rebecca is jealous.
Andrew & Amira
It’s July 2020 for this couple. You would think that it would have been a bit easier to get to the US at that time. Andrew is headed home from his two week vacation in Mexico. Andrew wears his mask like a chin strap in the airport! What is wrong with people? Andrew tells his mother about the latest Serbia plan. Amira needs to end this stupidity. I don’t understand why she could come here from Serbia and not France. Andrew is such an idiot.
Next week: There was nothing with Brandon and Julia this week, but next week we see them taking a pregnancy test! How hard is it to use birth control? It looks like Stephanie calls Harris to come comfort here. Natalie and Mike continue to argue. Jovi gets wasted at the engagement party.
