This RHOSLC Recap is for the finale. I have to admit I didn’t hate this season. But it was pretty weird. Jen has been all over social media playing the victim. And worse that that she is comparing herself to George Floyd saying these women all have their knee on her neck. THAT RIGHT THERE should get her ass kicked off this show. However, Tamara Tattles exclusive sources report that as of now, the franchise has been renewed for season two with all the same cast. Le sigh. Once again I am sleep recapping this episode. I cannot seem to stay awake so don’t get your hopes up. I literally woke up just to do this. For some reason my DVR isn’t picking this up, so it’s going to be tricky.
Dealing With Jen
With everyone back from Vegas, it’s time to open the Beauty Bar and have a finale party. But first, everyone is trying to clear their minds from the evilness that is Jen Shah. There is a lot of negativity and hurt feelings to deal with. Heather still has a long way to go to get the Beauty Bar ready for the grand opening. BTW, all sorts of celebs on social media are IN LOVE with Heather. She’s the breakout star. Who knew? No one has spoken to Jen since Vegas. Whitney thinks Heather needs to “kindly disinvite” Jen to her grand opening. But production has a different plan.
Lisa goes to get drinks with Jen. Why? Jen says that Lisa is the only one who reached out to her since Vegas. Jen is blaming her bad behavior on “her culture.” Really, Jen? I can’t even recap this conversation. Everything is misinterpreted. She is the victim. It’s about being around so many white people in Utah. Excuses, excuses, excuses. And this only makes her look worse. Jen suggests it might be a good idea to keep some of her thoughts to herself. Lisa really is being kind to Jen despite the fact she doesn’t deserve any of it. Meanwhile, Meredith is already planning to disengage in advance of the final event. She’s pissed everyone is so into her business with Seth.
The Build Up To The Finale Party
Oh look! Whitney’s dad has a job. Or something. He is trying to get job as an instructor at a hair school. Whitney is his model. I can’t believe she is letting him cut her hair. Financial support is one thing. But, I’m not putting my hair on the line. I keep wanting to go to the cheap quicky place in the Publix parking lot and get a few inches whacked off. It takes like ten minutes max. They don’t even wash your hair. And yet, anxiety.
I am going to guess that this is Lisa talking to Heather about Jen. But frankly it could be Meredith. Everyone expects apologies from Jen. Especially Heather who has bent over backward to be a friend to Jen. Heather says that if her daughters had a friend like Jen, she would tell them to cut her off. And that is the advice she wants to give herself. Lisa has a business meeting with her entire family there. Why? Her diet coke addict is real, y’all. Apparently, they are letting their kids open a business. That’s fine. But I’m not interested.
A Peek At Mary’s Cult
Oh look! Mary is out of the hoarder house. Apparently she is the choir director. At least for the show. We finally get to see her abusing her congregation. She begs them all to adore her. Then she mocks the guy above in the gray sweater for “gaining weight.” WTF? Then she berates the choir who all respond with “yes mam.” They are totally brainwashed by this fool and it is sad to watch. She picks people to ridicule in front of everyone. Because that is what Jesus would do. Oh wait. No it is not. This is disturbing.
Is this an extended episode? Because we are 40 minutes in and doing stupid shit like Sharrieff taking Jen for salsa lessons. We need to get to the big party! Sharrieff does have some moves though. They have a little romantic time with champagne and strawberries after they dance. Don’t give her any alcohol, Sharrieff! She whines about being misunderstood. She has nothing but good intentions. Please. She’s a witch. Sharrieff has her back. He is a great husband. He deserves better. Maybe he is not cheating.
The Beauty Bar Opening
Ah the reason this isn’t taping is because I had two things at 11. And Lord only knows what Bravo has tacked on to the end of this. Even Mary is invited to the finale. I feel like somehow she was made a full housewife while production was happening. This would explain the random phone calls to her when she was excluded from filming other things. She is going to get DRAGGED at the reunion though, y’all. The whole cult situation is going to be laid on the table.
Why is Meredith wearing a full on chainmail facemask to this event? Is it the ultimate disengaging? She tells us that it is her way of warding off the nastiness that she thinks is coming her way. Everyone think it is weird. Mary is wearing fingerless gloves. These women are… odd. Meredith is really annoyed that Lisa met up with Jen after Vegas. Lisa drones on and on about being Jen’s friend. Lisa needs to pick a side. And she is picking the wrong one as far as Meredith is concerned. I really want to go to an oxygen bar. I really needed it when I had The Great Sickness of 2021. Breathing was quite difficult. Can you buy these machines?
Whitney tells Mary that after she was “gone” she became Jen’s target. Mary feels very vindicated that she was right about Jen. And then Jen arrives. She is wearing a fur stole. I will go to my grave supporting the wearing of fur. I think that whole protest is a bunch of bullshit. Humans have been eating animals and wear leather and fur and bird feathers since there were humans. What I am not okay with is stoles. They are so outdated and grandma-ish. I actually think I have one here somewhere that was my mothers. She was born in the 1920s so… it was fine for her. It’s just odd on younger people today. But whatever, Jen.
Whitney comes up to Jen and tells her that she doesn’t want to be treated poorly and she doesn’t want toxic friends in her life. Whitney tells her in no uncertain terms that she refuses to be Jen’s punching bag or her scapegoat. Also, that looks like a fake fur. How dreadful. Jen wants to work on her “communication style.” Did Jen apologize? I must have missed that part but Whitney acknowledges an apology. Lisa is being all friendly to Jen and Meredith is NOT having it.
Getting To The Point
Heather gives her speech. She is rather inspirational with her success. Good for her. No wonder everyone loves Heather. Jen apologizes to Meredith. And Meredith is not overly receptive. Jen claims she would never do anything to hurt her or her family. But she did. Meredith is not having it. She needs actions not words. Jen is clueless. Why am I just now noticing that Meredith has this weird chopped off hair near the front? What is that about?
Then it is time for Heather and Jen to talk. Heather gives Jen way too much slack. But she is pissed that Jen said in Vegas she did not trust Heather. Jen has no clue that everything that happened in Vegas was her own damn fault. And she put hands on Heather! Heather stands up for herself. The other girls are worried about the conversation that is happening. They want to break this up and not ruin Heather’s event. They start to gather around. Heather wants Jen to admit she took their friendship for granted and ran all over Heather. She wants her to make serious amends. But once again, Jen thinks she has done nothing wrong.
The Final Showdown
Jen refuses to own the fact that she uses Heather and never shows up for her. Jen is in denial. Heather doesn’t think their friendship is equal. Heather put up with a lot in Vegas. And Jen refuses to acknowledge it. Jen is not worthy of Jen. Jen apologizes to everyone and cries. It’s fake. Whitney says Heather needs her to own and say the things she is sorry for. Jen doesn’t know what she is supposed to be sorry for. REALLY? She bought her shoes in Vegas? What more does she want? The next thing you know they are sharing lip gloss. That’s the ultimate apology and acceptance. 🙂
Well this was a wild and crazy franchise. I didn’t hate it. The reunion looks like FIRE! I can’t wait. So give me your review of this season!
