Look I Woke Up In SHIT MODE

January 19, 2021 by tamaratattles 44 Comments

I’m sorry I could not recap tonight. I just watched Below Deck and my heart is broken all over again. I can’t deal with anything else.  I  CANNOT deal with the racism. We have a racist president for too long. ONE MORE DAY IS TOO FUCKING LONG..

I have to tell you, that white Supremacists are  not the majority. This is not who we are! Yeah we are getting a white president. But we are getting a black vice president. Let’s get through this together. I’m losing it a little bit. And I am sorry for that. I’m trying to get back to you all.

I just need to STOP. I need to just stop and cry and be alone for a  minute. Back soon.

There’s a bit of light at the end of the tunnel! Hoping swift action is undertaken by the next administration to undue the damage done over the past 4 years.

(on another topic) – If anyone has Netflix, I suggest y’all give Bling Empire a chance. It’s frivolous but not *too* obnoxious, and an overall feel-good show (believe it or not) I was expecting it to be somewhat Housewives-y … but I was pleasantly surprised.

I’m looking forward to watching it. I heard it was fun.

I’m dropping CBSAA tomorrow and now it’s time to pick up Netflix. Also, looking forward to the latest season of Wentworth and Bridgerton.

“Not the majority” -I’m not so sure about that these days. I’m drained and exhausted but hopeful. I’m going to eat some ice cream and think about making egg and cheese on toast.
    Feel better, TT.

*hugs Tamara* I’mma write a novella.

This is a fringe group who got emboldened by trump. The rest of the Rep party that’s supporting him are doing so because he’s Rep and they have been brainwashed by dubious media oulets.
I felt scared when he was elected because people seemed to not care at all that he bragged about assaulting women. To endure this and also be a woman of color… I’m sorry. I can only imagine the anguish of seeing people you thought were friends/collegues support a movement that was anti-YOU. Even NOW, after he insighted a coup attempt… I mean, What The Actual [email protected]#K!??

Biden-Harris are already rolling out plans that are positive. People who need it will be getting the rest of the $2,000 for Covid relief payment.
AND,( this made me cheer and cry.) I thought everyone had forgotten about the Keystone pipeline. Forgotten how trump ignored ALL the experts who said it was a danger. ALL the Native Americans who’s land was going to be disrupted, against their will, even though it meant their water supply was at risk.
Biden is going to shut it down! We are going to have leadership that is for the people again.
And then begins trump’s legal problems. The impeachment. NYC also has charges against him at the state level, with other states predicted to follow. He’s losing creditors. He’s losing business deals… and this stink on him will attach itself to his adult children. All of this will drain his shrinking profits. All those cult followers who stormed D.C. for their god trump, none of them can donate the 300 plus million that his creditors did. They can all cry for and demand pardons from their god, but chances are, he won’t hear them. It’s his tie to them that has cost him the loss of lenders. It also would be used against him in his impeachment hearing. Then there’s the threat from Interpol. The murders in Iran are on his hands as well.

While trump spends the next 4 years dealing with legal battles against him, having to pay back over 300 million in debt that lenders won’t help him with, possible international criminal charges… WE will be focused on building an America we can be proud of again. We will have leadership that is sympathetic to BLM. That recognizes the hole we are in due to Covid. That listens to science.
Biden-Harris has inheritted a multi trillion dollar deficit. This is after Obama had handed trump a healthy economy. This might mean tax increases. That’s ok. This might mean tightening up some purse strings. That’s ok. We have gotten ourselves out of worse financial crisis before, with good leadership, one that is for The People. That is all that is required from our Pres and Vice… that they include ALL Americans in their speech. The rest lies on the shoulders of our Senators. We will have a pro Democratic Senate. We have 2 major crisises to get through. 1. The terrorist attack on D.C. 2.Covid. I fully expect our government to be busy trying to right those wrongs.

As a side: I have been following a progressive religious FB page. They have been anti-trump. They still are, but I had to unfollow. ALL their posts are “doom” posts. Words like “anxiety” “depressed” in their titles. “You feel anxiety…” yeah!! Yeah, I do! But no solution except to FEEL anxious because it’s ALL “depressing” “hopeless”. And ya know what? I do NOT need that chit. I NEED hope.

Love you, TT. We just have another day and a half to get through and life will get infinitely better. I know things will take time to improve, but having an actual President with a plan of action will be such a relief. And a great VP. And Bernie as Senate Budget Committee chair. I just am praying we make it through tomorrow without incident.

TT, hang in there. We only have a few more days. Stop reading and writing about all the negative Trump issues. It brings light to him. He likes both good and negative press, so give him ZERO press. You have a gift and people read your blogs. Start telling the great things about Biden and Harris and don’t say one word about the orange one. Make it all about positive and you win. You know he has someone reading your blogs, so do not write about him anymore.

Thank you for saying this. It is 100% correct. Don’t add any fuel by paying him attention because he lives for attention. I stopped watching any news months and only skim through CNN and local news on line and that’s it. I don’t need to read anymore about him, ivanka, jared, donald jr. or eric anymore. He lost, it’s over and this whole thing is like cancer. Focus on the good things… remember.. Where The Mind Goes, The Man Follows…

Lurker here. Lol. Only have posted a few times. I feel like I know all of you. Hang in there TT. I really think we’re at that bend in the racetrack where all you can see is more track, but the finishline is ahead. Nothing worse in your house than pipes not working properly and flooding. Hope you get this fixed ASAP.

I’m barely hanging in. I’m a single mom. My 13-year-old is severely depressed and has talked about suicide. Apparently, the entire US is looking for mental health specialists because since we got her assessed on Dec 3, only yesterday did they call me for an appt.

To add gas to the fire, my daughter and I got COVID right before Christmas. I was baffled, as I hadn’t left the house since Dec 3 and have everything, including groceries delivered. My daughter was completely asymptomatic, but I got every symptom in the book. Took a full 2 weeks to be able to breathe without crying. At least I can smell and taste again.

    Here’s hoping for a somewhat better 2021.

I’m ready to flee to New Zealand if not. Lol

Dr MLK once said that it is only in darkness that we can see the stars. Society in general has been operating in deep darkness for the past several years. We have neglected our planet, our neighbors and ourselves. We have been forced to re-examine not just our perceived enemies motives, but also address the conscious and unconscious biases we bring to the table we excuse in our minds as having minimal impact. We now have the power to effect real change. The three Cs in life are Choice, Chance and Change. We have to make the choice to take the chance to make tge changes we want to see. We have to empower ourselves to be agents of change. Whether we like the new administration or not, we need to make the choice to change all of the issues that brought us into this darkness. Government administration alone can’t do this. We the people are responsible to live our lives everyday in a manner that demonstrates our commitment to the constitution All of it, not just the parts we personally benefit from. I am praying that we all decide to be agents of change. And peace. Blessings to you all ❤️

So close! I have lived in Kentucky all my 38 years and have been a very vocal crictic of Mitch McConnell. I have voted against him every election I have been able to do so. Even Mitch McConnell wants his party to accept election results and says Trump lied to the “mob”. Scary note, the man that broke the window that the female veteran climbed through and was fatally wounded, that man lives pretty close to me.

I don’t have any explanation for it. My state is more Republican than Democrat and many people vote on a straight ticket. One point I really hate, that shows how uniformed voters are, is now suddenly condemning McConnell for turn on Trump. There are thousands of dummies saying they will never vote for McConnell again. Well, duh, because he has stated multiple times publicly that this is his last term and he won’t run again once this term is over. That is how fucking stupid people are in my state. He doesn’t care, because he is saving face to make something happen for himself.

We are living in an incredibly difficult time .. as hard as it is I think about what our ancestors went through. Living through war, depression not being able to eat watching their loved ones die. As hard as this is we are better off because those who came before us. And we have a road in front of us. It’s not going to end anytime soon. But we are on our way up now. It’s mind boggling how trump was able to do so much damage. I never realized that our Congress can overturn our vote. I am and have been getting educated and that’s a good thing. I feel like we have to focus on the positive we got from all this. People realized shopping and all the materialistic shit was dumb. For me in the end I am closer with my family.
I have to focus on positive and moving forward and hope. There is too much bad it’s a fight to not let it over take us. And Tamara your site brought entertainment and laughter during these times. So thank you

The reaction to the protests in Seattle both by the police and random folks on social media, really, really got to me; and I think it’s about time we realize that what we’ve seen during Trump’s four years is exactly who this nation is, and it’s time to stop hiding from that fact. Electing Biden and Harris was great, but we have to remember that it was Obama’s two election wins that set us on this path.

Until we are willing to admit that while many aggressively agreed with the actions of those who attacked our government, there are also others who passively agreed. That there were HR Directors and Lawyers present, Ministers, and at least one CEO says that it’s time we had a conversation about where this country is headed and how to set it on a better course.
