Yesterday, I was outside in the sun waiting in line for an hour or so before going in the building. I ran some brief errands and ate a Zaxby’s Zalad. It was probably my best day in nine months. Today, I’m anxious, stressed and highly irritable. Minor site issues and feeling behind on work were the only actual issues. I think I am done screaming at my appliances for now. I’m having some Prosecco and starting to chill the fuck out. So what I don’t need is to hear for this RHOC recap these women whining. I don’t need to know all of Elizabeth’s inner demons or Emily’s COVID problems. Oh! And, did I mention that as I type this Kelly and Rick are in Aspen with half the rest of California? Wonder why California and Colorado are the latest hotspots?
Let’s Watch Depressing Shit! (Trigger Warning)
Meanwhile, back at Lake Arrowhead, Braunwyn has caused Elizabeth to have a panic attack so she can save her. Braunwyn talks about being locked in the closet a lot as a child. While Braunwyn is banking Elizabeth’s innermost secrets to cash out to her advantage later, the other idiots are attempting to fish. As it turns out it is the “release” part that is giving them issues. God forbid they eat the fish rather than just torture them for no reason. And now, we are going to go through the whole childhood abuse again. I’ll spare you. I wish I could unhear it.
Back in the OC, Shannon is whining to John for not getting COVID fast enough. This means he will get a few extra days away from the crazy. So Shannon has to go back to her place. Her daughters who were sick with COVID are in trouble for not cleaning the house. How dare they lay out in the sun while sick? Shannon screams at them. Across town, Emily has the kids camping outside. That looks like fun. Emily is positive for COVID as well and would probably like nothing more than to lie down.
Shannon Spreads Joy To The Vacationers
Just because Shannon is not on the trip, doesn’t mean she can’t drive the vibe down. Gina and the others seem to think only people with prior conditions need to worry about getting COVID. Braunwyn of course makes even Shannon’s COVID about her and calls her husband. The cameras are right on her which is what she wanted. Kelly thinks she can’t get it because she has type O blood. I am shocked that she hasn’t gotten it yet. All she does is travel. And yes, Braunwyn, I too am exhausted. This entire episode is exhausting But mostly it is YOU, Braunwyn. You make everyone exhausted.
Kelly is headed to Napa Valley next. She wants to look at wedding venues. Everyone is ready to go home. None of these people can cook. The camera person makes sure to show evidence of this. Braunwyn thinks one of her kids, Brooke has COVID. No worries though she’s young. What kind of mother thinks that way instead of “I need to rush right home?” Gina points out that Braunwyn needs to take the virus more seriously. Braunwyn says she is coming back to the lack with some other friends the following weekend. Those seven kids apparently raise themselves.
Shannon Strikes Again
Before leaving they call to check on Shannon. She is dying of course. And Sophie woke up in the middle of the night struggling to breathe. John has the same symptoms. Suddenly, Kelly wonders of she should cancel her trip to Napa. Everyone tells her that she absolutely should! It’s a pandemic! But she won’t listen. She doesn’t think she is the cow that will be thinned from the herd. Conveniently, a nurse calls to tell her she was in contact with someone who tested positive and she needs to quarantine for 14 days. Napa is cancelled. I presume that was a production nurse.
Shane has been in the hospital for EIGHT DAYS. Poor Shane. I like him. Emily was terrified that she was going to lose him. Shannon finds out that Braunwyn said the investigation into Elizabeth was her fault. Now we have to listen to Elizabeth go back through all of her childhood trauma again with Jimmy the notexactlyboyfriend? Oh and Braunwyn wants to move her “lesbian storyline” forward so she moved a girlfriend into her house. Emily tries to point out this might not be good for her marriage.
So what did you think of this very uplifting episode? Next week we get Elizabeth’s brother’s childhood abuse story. Le sigh.
