Lisa Vanderpump just posted some sad news on her IG. “We are devastated to say that our beloved Giggy has passed away this morning. He was truly loved, and we know how many of you loved him too. Our sweet Gigolo was such an incredible, unique dog, but mainly, because of him, we started The Vanderpump Dog Foundation and embarked on our mission to save as many dogs as possible. He inspired us to start our work in rescue, and for that we will always be grateful. Giggy’s legacy will live on, through every dog @vanderpumpdogs saves. Thank you all for your support. Rest In Peace Giggy, we love you. – Ken & Lisa”
There is never a good time to lose a pet but this seems like a particularly bad time with everything else life is throwing our way. He was such a good dog. He even met Lady Gaga!
Oh, no. I really feel for her and Ken. They really love their dogs, and Giggy really was someone special.
Oh, that just breaks my heart. Whatever people might think of Ken & Lisa, they really love animals and Giggy was so special to them.
I am so saddened by this!!!
Regardless of my feelings towards the humans, I have a special place in my heart for the 4 legged family members. Our white pit bull, Betty White, died the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Her food and water dish are still out for her, and I find myself looking down whenever I’m at my desk working, out of reflex, since that is where she sat most of the time. Humans aren’t always the best, but pets make us better. And, I know that Giggy will be missed…sorry to make this about me…It’s a shared grief.
Aw, Betty White is such a good name. Banjo is getting up there and I am trying to mentally prepare, but it’s just not possible. So sorry about Betty White.
So sorry about your dog! Losing a pet is so heart wrenching. Animals are better than people for sure! Take care.
That is really sad news. However we all, or most of us, love are animals as much as she does. The pain is the same real. Her animal was no more special than any of ours that have passed. We all feel the same pain.
Well, I mean Banjo never met Lady Gaga… Or made me any money (yes, LVP got Giggy a talent contract) so… you know. 🙂
Oh man. I could tell even by the last time she was on RH, Giggy was getting up there. But as anticipated as it is – it is never easy.
Giggy’s health had been failing for some time. However, nobody can really prepares themselves for the tremendous grief. I have always had to replace mine right away because I can’t take the grief. Giggy had a wonderful life and I hope Lisa and Ken can remember and take pride that Giggy was the one who was there when they started the animal rescues and became animal advocates for animals around the world.
Giggy has a beautiful place in heaven. RIP Giggy, you were adored and loved by many.
I have had fur babies my entire life and I’m 64! Every time one of them passes, I cry like my heart is being ripped out of my body. They really loved him and I don’t care what people think about them, it’s heartbreaking. I’m telling you, I like animals much more than people. Always have and always will….
So so sad to hear this, we know as pet owners they can go at anytime and it’s so scary, we have a bischon and she’s the centre of our world I always fear when I can’t find her even for a second that she’s gone! I don’t know what we will do when it happens but they are such a part of our families it’s heartbreaking! Lisa and Ken love their animals and anyone who adores animals like they do are good people x
So sorry to hear about Giggy. RIP
Im in a similar situation. I need to decide whether to call the vet and have my sweet pitbull put to sleep today. Her name is Gogo and the name says it all. She was a ball of energy up until 2weeks ago when she quit eating and everything went downhill from there. I’m a mess.
.
Try CBD OIL if you have any time left.
I give it to my 15-year-old girl 2-3 times a day. She always makes a nanker, but sometimes she comes to me asking for it.
Funny you should say that. SO went out to the local dispensary this am and bought 2 bottles of canine cbd oil (100mg & 200mg). I’m not saying shes cured but what a difference! She wasnt able to keep pain meds down so this is a lifesaver.
Thanks Nanette!
That gif of Giggy running through the door is the cutest thing ever. RIP Giggster!
RIP Giggy. He really did have a beautiful face and the cutest bark. So sad for Lisa and Ken. It’s like losing a child almost for them. ? This is why I do not have a pet. I’ll wait a few years and then get a cat that will outlive me! I couldn’t take the loss.
I have my opinions on LVP and Ken BUT anyone with oxygen would know those two loved and adored Giggy. It’s clear they love animals and look at each dog/animal they have as an extension of their family.
As a Dog lover and having to help a family pet crossover to rainbow bride, it is the most devastating pain I have ever felt. I lost a sibling during my teen years and turned to my Pup as a safe haven; someone I loved and built a bond with. When my pup passed away (he was 15 years old), I was broken. It took me 10 years to muster up the courage to get another dog (I am only 36 lol).
I feel for LVP and Ken. 2020 has been a shitshow year.
Rest In Peace Giggy ?
So sad. Giggy had a blessed life. I feel bad for LVP and Ken..it’s never easy to lost a pet.
poor Lisa and Ken, that doggo was so loved! What a wonderful life they gave him,
aww rip giggy, you were always the best part of LVP, her sidekick…although I miss her greatly, I will miss you giggy. Best dressed dog in the country… best everything, probably. Will miss him.
Love to all who have fur babies that are there best friends, I have mine too!
Warmest wishes to Lisa and Ken. They undeniably loved that little guy so much. He had the best life I’m sure. Never easy to lose someone in your family.
