Tonight’s The Bachelorette Recap begins with the two on one date with Noah and Bennett. One stays, one goes. I don’t think Tayshia really cares for either one of them. It’s set up as evil Noah who the audience hates (and so does the house) versus Bennett who is not so much good as he is just not Noah. Generally at the this point in the season, the villain stays just to make us all throw things at the TV so I’m unbothered either way. I don’t see either of these guys ending up with Tayshia. This is all production.
Tayshia is pissed at both of them. Maybe she will send them both home. Things aren’t looking good for Bennett. Bennett had normal (for reality TV) talk with Bennett. Noah on the other hand played the victim card. He even pretended to cry. So, Tayshia sent Bennett home. But, she immediately seemed to regret her decision. She didn’t give the date rose to Noah either. But at least he is going back to the house. Then she resumes the cocktail party. OR Seven minutes in heaven. It’s just like the middle school game if one girl went into the closet with ALL the boys. Of course she gives Noah the last rose. Sending three genuine guys home. Including Demar who we barely got to see all season. I liked him.
Hometowns Are Next Week!
These guys have only been dating Tayshia for four or five weeks. One of the guys at the cocktail party said it was their one week anniversary. And next week is hometowns? This restart is making everything happen at warp speed. It’s more ridiculous than usual. There are seven guys left and presume the usual four hometowns. I don’t even know all their names yet.
Ben gets a one on one. Zac C. starts crying about his parents and hometowns. Zac C. is 36. Pull yourself together, man! On Ben’s one on one date, they they ride scooters and follow a series of clues to find their destination. Ben is cute. He’s also ready to spill his guts. And apparently he picked the time he was on national TV to disclose he had two suicide attempts after severely breaking his back. His own sister doesn’t know that information. Then they go slow dancing to live music. I presume he will be getting a hometown date. Tayshia tells us that she loves Ben.
Truth or Lies?
Blake basically cries when he gets the other one on one. The others have a group date first. The group date is a polygraph test. Tayshia takes it too. She fails on the question about regretting sending anyone home. She says no. The guys immediate assume it is Bennett. I think so too. Brenden fails the questions about being ready to meet Tayshia’s parents and having her meet his. Zac C. admitted he had cheated on someone in the past. Riley fails the baseline question asking if his name (full name) is his name.
Later Tayshia has cocktails with the group daters. She pulls Zac C. first to talk about the cheating. He cheated in sixth grade by kissing another girl. Tayshia and Zac C. both admit to falling in love with each other. Riley is really concerned about some things he needs to share with Tayshia before meeting his family. He cries as he tells her his real name Duane Henderson Jr. He was named after his father who took him and his brother away from his mother. It turned out that his father was a bad dude. He finally reunited with his mother. He changed his name to start a new like and be a better man. I think they edited out quite a bit.
Tayshia can’t decide who to give the group date rose too after all the soul bearing so she doesn’t give it out. When she gets back to her bungalow, Bennett is waiting in the front yard. She is happy to see him. They go inside to talk. He tells her that he loves her and asks for a second chance. Bennett says he has never felt this way about anyone. She asks for time to think about it. Wait. She still has to decide who is going on hometowns. But the will be a second episode on Tuesday of the men tell all? She hasn’t even gotten her bang cards yet!
