I am so far behind on 90 Day Fiance The Other Way recaps! Sundays are so busy that I kind of forget it is there. I’m starting this one at 4 am because I am sadly awake after sleeping almost all day AGAIN. But I’m feeling good. I really, REALLY need to go to the grocery story. I’ve been trying to go for days. I probably should just stay up and go at 8 am. Making decisions seems so complicated these days. Anyway, I saw a tiny spoiler for this episode and now I am dying to watch. So let’s get to it.
Jenny & Sumit
These two are headed to see a lawyer to talk about starting the process for their marriage license. Sumit has bought some magical cards that ward of Covid. Sumit seems to be waffling on the whole marriage thing. Is he getting cold feet? Sumit asks the lawyer about the marriage process he was told about. That one is expensive and complicated and his parents can object. But then, the lawyer told them about a much easier way to get married. They can get married today using this plan. Good News! Jenny is thrilled. And Jenny’s visa renewal will be easy to do. Sumit starts stalling. He wants to talk to his parents first. And he wants Jenny to go too.
Jenny and Sumit prepare for a ring ceremony two days after meeting with the lawyer. Jenny calls his daughter and her wife. They are also worried about Jenny and Sumit talking to his parents before the wedding. They are afraid his mom is going to cry hysterically and beg them not to marry. The day before the ring ceremony, Sumit’s brother and wife come over. Sumit has decided to get engaged before he talks to his parents. He hopes his brother can help him smooth things over with his parents. His brother says there is nothing they can do. Jenny has a breakdown and starts crying. This is heartbreaking.
Ari & Bini
Ari is just awful. Ari’s dad is shocked that Ethiopia is an underdeveloped county. Did he think he was going to Paris? Why is Bini always getting lectured about going to work? The parents finally see their apartment. Bini is so proud of it. But, the parents are not impressed. I feel so sorry for Bini. Her parents have unrealistic expectations. This is Ethiopia! Bini looks like he is on the verge of tears.
The night before Ari’s parents head back, they go out to dinner with Bini’s family. Once again Bini is the one carrying the baby. There is nothing wrong with that, it just seems like it is always him. Bini is very happy that the two families are meeting. Ari’s mom asks the sisters how they think Bini and Ari’s relationship is going. Isn’t that a question for her daughter? The sisters say that Ari is quick to get angry and yell at their brother. They tell her that she is bossy and shouts at Bini in the street. The mother asks for their opinion and then dismisses it in her interview. She says Ari does fly off the handle but there is usually a reason for it. Sure there is. She wants to get her way! The sisters say that Ari treats Bini like a child.
Then, Ari’s parents are shocked to hear that Avi is going to be baptized. Apparently, Ari wasn’t gone to tell them because she puts no significance on the ceremony. But now it’s becoming a thing. Avi wants Bini to tell his sisters to butt out. But they are being plenty respectful when they stress how important the baptism is to them. Ari’s mom then says that Bini’s sisters are on his side and it’s one sided. Of course they are!
Brittany & Yazan
OMG! I want that schwarma! Stacks and stacks of unknown meats (usually lamb and goat) sliced and served in a pita with mysterious sauce! SO GOOD. What is not so good is that Yazan had come to pick up Brittany and her friend and Brittany is wasted! Then, Yazan takes Brittany to his barber shop. Brittany wants to give Yazan a drunken hair cut. They talk about the future of the relationship. Yazan agrees that she doesn’t have to convert to Islam and he will wait a year to get married. But, he didn’t tell her about the terrible situation he is in because of her.
The next day, Yazan invites Brittany to the apartment he got for them. He is hoping she will see he is making progress for them to be together. When he shows her the apartment, he says he has another bedroom if she wants to stay with him. She says she likes to cuddle. He says they can do that when they are married. Brittany is really dense. She says she is going to stay in the hotel until the plumber comes to keep the shower from getting the bathroom floor wet. She is such piece of crap. Then, Yazan explains that he can’t have a girlfriend for a year. They have to be married. Yazan says he needs a translator to make sure Brittany knows his situation. Good Idea!
Kenny & Armando
These two are off to try to appeal the rejection of their application for the a marriage license. Hannah get more and more beautiful ever episode. Armando does such a good job with her clothes and hair.
Deavan & Jihoon
Deavan’s mother is headed back to Korea for the wedding and Jihoon is not happy. Her mom is awful. Jihoon looks cute with red hair. Apparently, at some point, Jihoon goes nuts and gets abusive with Deavan and Drascilla. The situation was so bad that TLC flew Deavan and kids back to the US immediately. Afterward, they were both allegedly disinvited to the Tell All. Deavan claims that Drascilla has an eating disorder because she is afraid of everything now and refuses to eat. She has been under a doctor’s care. And Deavan already has another serious boyfriend. That story really surprises me. Jihoon seems like he is afraid of his own shadow.
There are only two episodes left. And they look really dramatic. Then, it looks like we get a regular 90 Day fiance season with all new people.
