The Amazing Race Recap: Olé! Olé!

November 4, 2020 by tamaratattles 1 Comment

Holey Moley! I didn’t really think we would get the two new episodes of the show tonight! I am late for this recap of The Amazing race! And it’s a double episode. It will probably be interrupted with elections results but I’ll take any of it I can get!  I just got  made a little snack plate of nuts and cheese and olive and am pouring a glass of wine and let this show take all my troubles away!

Off To Paraguay!

Let’s go, Will and James! Team Purple! They did make enemies in the last leg by U-Turning Team Eyeglasses. Team Eyeglasses are awful people anyway. Team Purple is aligned with four other top teams. That seems like a big alliance. All teams are taking the same flight. The first five teams (the alliance) get to the airport first and use that time to get on the free Internet and research and buy maps of Paraguay. Some of the cab drivers don’t know where the first location is. One of those teams with a bad driver is Team Purple. Also, did I mention Team Eyeglasses are awful?

The first competition literally at a garbage dump. No one the taxi drivers didn’t know where it was. There is a really cute local kids orchestra playing. All of their instruments were made from trash from the landfill! They are really good! The challenge is to use items from the landfill into a cello. They have to find the items and then follow the instructions to assemble the cello. Two of the girls teams are lost. DeAngelo & Gary leave in first place. Then Team Purple! The two all girls teams are struggling a lot with this.

Team FootballersUse Your Melon!

At the detour, teams must choose between stacking hundreds of watermelons, or dancing with a wine bottle on stack on the other balanced on their heads. Both of these challenges have been done before and both are nearly impossible to complete. And, is sound like there will be a U-turn. I predict a lot of crying. Holy crap! Team Purple saw the bottle dancing episode and practiced at home! YAY! James gets the dance first. Will struggles with it at first. They get it on their first attempt! They are in first place! Again! One of the girls teams, Michelle and Victoria go from the back of the pack to second place!

Hung and Chee switch to the watermelon challenge. It is more doable but really physically taxing. The footballers melons have fallen several times. They consider quitting and doing the bottle dance but don’t. Team Beard is the first to complete the watermelon challenge. Kaylnn and Haley have just finished the cello challenge. They head to the detour in a very distant last place. Hung and Chee got the watermelon challenge before the footballers. The footballers have been at it for four hours. They don’t get that they have to lay them in a particular pattern. Their melons keep falling. They finally get it. The blonde girls team are last and at the wine dance. It could be a close finish? The girls team came in last. But it is a non-elimination!

Okay there is not a second episode recoding in the spot where it is supposed to be. I just set it to tape the 10pm hour. Maybe it will be there? Meanwhile, I’m of to recap Orange County.

Tamara ~ Forgive me for putting this here, but I was shocked and I feel terrible seeing this.
Nate from 6 Days In killed himself.
Nate was one of the best people ever on 60 Days In. Have you seen this? Sorry if it’s already been discussed somewhere.

I thought it was a great episode of TAR.
I could never ever do this show! I was pretty shocked the football guys got the watermelons done without completely starting over.

Glad it was non elim. I am starting to like the blonde girls.

SO sick of eyeglasses telling us how smart they are. STFU
