It’s finally time to check in on Armando and Kenny and hopefully get Hannah back to their new home. Also, Ariela is terrified about having a baby via c-section in an underdeveloped country without her mama. She’s the one who put herself in this situation though. And it was a total fail and she should have never gone back to Ethiopia in the first place! This should be a very interesting 90 Day Fiance The Other Way Recap!
Armando & Kenny
YAY! We are going to start tonight in Mexico with Armando and Kenny! Last week Armando told his family he was engaged to marry Kenny and it went over like a lead balloon. We pick up the next day with these two going to get Hannah. Armando hopes that Hannah will be more supportive than the rest of his family. Hannah is a little angel who says she is happy to have two daddies and twice the love. She really loves Kenny. It’s so sweet. Prejudice is learned.
Later Armando talks to his mother. She is very sad that he is leaving and taking Hannah with him. She wants to support her son and his relationship. It’s just hard for her that her son and granddaughter are moving away after so many years together. He asked if his father said anything about it and she said no. He’s been very quiet. She says he needs to give his father time to process everything. She says she will tell him about the engagement later. His mother wishes he had told her about the engagement privately first. He says he was worried that she would want him to hide it from the rest of the family again.
Wedding Plans Take A Turn
His mother doesn’t understand why he wants to have a wedding. She thought they would just register the marriage. He says that like any other couple he wants to celebrate the day with his family. Eventually she agrees to come to the wedding but she’s not confident that his father will. Armando tells us he is going to live his life and be happy. If that means choosing Kenny over his family that is what he will do.
The new happy family is ready to load up and head to their new apartment. Armando is a bit sad to go. He worries about Hannah leaving her grandparents and extended family. Armando’s dad still hasn’t really come out of hiding and Armando is worried he won’t come out to say goodbye. Armando asks his mom if she has talked to his father about the wedding and how he feels about it. She says he’s been very tired. His sister is tearful when she tells Kenny that she knows Kenny will do a good job raising Hannah since he has three daughters that turned out well. Armando’s mom is heartbroken that he and Hannah are leaving. Tears all around. Armando’s dad comes out to hug Armando and Hannah goodbye. He shakes Kenny’s hand.
Ari & Beni
Incomplete contrast to Kenny and Armando, Ari and Beni never stood a chance. Last week Ari went to the hospital for a checkup and found out the baby was breech, she was low on amniotic fluid, and she needed an c-section immediately. Beni is freaking out too but hiding it well. They were just there for an ultrasound and now this is all happening and they are not ready. So much for hiding it well. Beni tells Ari he is afraid the baby will die. Ari calls her mom and she gives her some reassurance. Ari is terrified. The nurse comes to take he to a hospital room. Beni is unhappy about the c-section for cultural reasons.
In the operating room Ari freaks out to the point where she can’t get an epidural because she is moving and sobbing too much. So they have to give her general anesthesia. She can’t stop crying and freaking out. This is hard to watch. They literally had to knock her out to get the baby out. Beni looks terrified. There is a long pause and the baby is not crying. Something is very wrong. The baby isn’t crying at all. They are trying to simulate the baby to make him breathe. Finally he cries. Beni is so happy. He is s cute with the baby.
I guess In-Law is the wrong term since these two are not married. But still. Beni calls his mom to tell her about the baby. It was touch and go there for a bit. But everyone is so relieved that it all worked out. Ari is happy to wake up to the baby being out. Bini is so happy to be a father. I doubt he will be able to be one for long. This girl is going to bail and run home to mommy. She can’t possibly take care of a child by herself. Then, Bini’s family shows up to the hospital with flowers. Bini and Ari can’t even agree on the baby’s name after all these months. She likes Aviel (wtf?) and he likes Gabriel. I vote with Bini.
His family wants to know when the baptism is happening. According to Bini’s culture he baby boy should be baptized when he is 40 days old. But Ari is Jewish and not sure if she wants to do that. And, I have to agree with her this is not the time to bring that up. They have 39 more days to discuss that. Bini’s sister, Wish, comes to check on Ari and the baby. But mostly to take Bini shopping for a bassinet and baby tub. Because, Ari never intended on doing any shopping for the baby because that’s what her parents are for. She tells them to hurry so she is not alone. How is she and international solo traveler who can’t be alone?
They buy a really cheap like baby carrier/bassinet and a plastic bathtub. She is going to freak out but that is what they have in Ethiopia. She only has a week until mommy comes with the diamond encrusted American items. Bini tells Wish that he is so happy to have another son. But he is worried that she will take him away like the last baby mama did. And she will. She will probably return home with her parents. The sister is worried about the same thing. Bini says all he can do is pray.
Deavan & Jihoon
I totally forgot these two were on this season. I’m happy to go back to South Korea, but a bit sad these two didn’t work out. I know Jihoon is young and irresponsible but I feel like he would have gotten himself together eventually. Wait, actually he is 29 and Deavan is 23. I had forgotten that. He’s two old to act 15. These two have finally moved in to a “permanent” apartment. We begin to see that Jihoon is spending a lot of money on clothes. He has more clothes than Deavan! Wait! Why on earth did they get a puppy? Don’t they have enough to deal with?
They seem to be doing so much better. Where did this money come from for a year long lease? 90 Fiance checks? Deavan washes a rug in the bathtub while Jihoon laments that their new apartment doesn’t have a bidet. When the time comes for me to sell the ghetto shack and go rent an apartment in some foreign county, I hope I have a bidet. I want to know what all the fuss is about. lol. Why are these two acting like they didn’t have a wedding? Didn’t we see the wedding in Korea with the traditional clothes? Now Deavan wants “the wedding of her dreams” when they barely can afford an apartment? As we move on to Cheesestick, I’m going to grab a taco.
Brittany & Yazan
While Brittany is in Chicago dicking around with her divorce, her sister worries that Brittany is not prepared to convert to Islam and marry Yazan. Gee, you think? She’s an Internet THOT. That’s actually the polar opposite of a Muslim woman.
Meanwhile, in Jordan, Yazan is missing Brittany who has been in Chicago for three weeks now. He goes to speak with his best friend, Mohammed. It seems Yazan’s father has been sent all of Brittany’s THOTish social media posts that show her entire ass, her tits hanging out and all of her tattoos. He is not having it. He thinks that Brittany is just playing with him. Yazan tells Mohammed that these are old photos. His father has fired him from the family fish market and kicked him out of the house. He stayed with his uncle that night and slept on the street for the next two days. He finally got an apartment and is looking for a job. He’s lost everything.
Yazan Was Briefly Homeless and Brittany Makes a Money Grab
He also told Mohammed that he has not spoken to Brittany in a while. How long is a while and why are they not communicating daily? Oh! The last time they talked Brittany says that he needs to start paying her travel expenses to come to Jordan. He told her he didn’t have the money and that is the last time he heard from her. He told her he was having problems and she didn’t care. You can’t make a whore a housewife and you can’t make a THOT a Muslim housewife for sure. Yazan is starting to think his father was right about Brittany.
Sidenote: Jordanian Arabic seems a lot different than Libyan Arabic. I know a few words. Greetings, numbers, cuss words (lol), the word for money, I’ve probably got a two hundred word vocabulary in Arabic. And very rarely to I recognize the words Yazan uses. But I love these Arabic conversations.
Anyway, Mohammed tries to tell Yazan that he has sacrificed too much for Brittany. But sadly, Mohammed is too much in love to see reason. My heart breaks for him.
Next Time: Kenny tries to interfere with the most important person in the new triad and that’s Hannah. She manipulates Armando and has him wrapped around his finger. But Kenny needs to keep his mouth shut on that. Or at least give it some time. Deavan pouts because she can’t get her American dream wedding in Korea. Next week we get Jenny and Sumit back. Why couldn’t they be on this week instead of fucking Cheesestick that no one cares about? Apparently, Sumit’s wife want $500 a month in alimony. Does he even have a job? We have never seen him work.My DVR cut off when Bini and Ari were leaving the hospital. Did anyone catch what they said?
