Open Forum: Rain, Rain Go Away

First of all I updated the Cynthia Baily post with a couple of photos. Mostly because Drew’s husband was the talk of the wedding. That is one fine man.  Production was drooling over him all day. Yesterday was really shitty weather, torrential downpours, tornados, the whole nine yards. Yet, somehow the show managed to go on with a very wet outdoor wedding. Porsha has NEVER looked better and I think Dennis even managed to show up despite the fact that these two are not really a thing anymore.

Banjo and I are back from a visit with my sister. I stayed one night too long. 🙂 The good news is I have clean pajamas! I snuck in a few loads of laundry on my visit. Fun Fact. I don’t have a washer and dryer. There is just no place for it in this house. I’ve become accustomed to the fluff and fold. Drop of dirty clothes pick up clean ones all very neatly folded. I have not been to the fluff and fold in seven months. So I um…. kind of needed some clean jeans and tees and PJs. I really haven’t been wearing clothes for the the last seven month anyway. Try not to visualize that it isn’t pretty. 🙂

So what were you guys up to this weekend? I missed you guys SO MUCH! Apologizes for not responding to all the emails. xo ~tt

    Welcome back, TT.

I did some laundry myself this AM, and now I’m binging some crazy YouTube shit before I have to jump back to work stuff tomorrow.

I saw a Reddit post on RHOA earlier, and I knew I needed to come back here to see what you reported on Cynthia’s wedding. At least whenever I see news and/or gossip on Bravo shows elsewhere, I always know I can come back here for the real tea.

My outings this week were spending time at my neighbor’s house drinking sangria and eating cheeses and Italian cold cuts, walking to Walgreen’s to buy some essentials and then, finally, going to the grocery store to stock up on food. I’ve been ordering my groceries on line most of the time to avoid going to the store, but sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind. I spent more than I intended to, but I now have enough food to last me for at least a month. Other than that, I’ve take my dog for several walks and spent tons of time stretched out on the couch watching TV. Back to work tomorrow morning.

So glad you got to visit. I hope this leads to more regular communication. I don’t know if I would have stuck out the 8 years before the pandemic without my sister. She is 9 years younger, which was HUGE when I was 18 and she was 9. But now, it seems like we are the same age.

Woo hoo to clean clothes! What I love most are clean hair/body in clean pajamas and sheets. Heaven on Earth!

TT do you know if it rained during the ceremony and if so did Cynthia still have the ceremony outside?

Depending on what time the wedding was scheduled, I was at my home in Kennesaw not far from their venue and it was pouring down rain most of the evening. It quit for maybe 45 minutes — misting but not pouring — around 5:45. After 6:45, it was downpours for another couple of hours with tornado watches in the metro area. I’m not sure if they got married outside or not. I would think not because it was also pretty windy and wet, even if it wasn’t full on raining. All in all Saturday was a pretty nasty day into later Sunday afternoon.

Eddie VanHalen passing filled my weekend with so many teen memories. I remember weekends riding around town in a friends trans am blasting Van Halen. Best music ever!

I’ve never been without my own laundry facilities… except for ‘down the hall’ when I lived in apartments. But I’ve lived the majority of the past 20 years as ‘clothing optional’ thanks to private backyards (and the 2 years when I had non-private balconies in Fort Lauderdale but still looked GOOD so I didn’t care, lol) and being self-employed. The past year, living with my sister, has destroyed my spirit. Personal FREEDOM is everything!

Jim, I had lived alone for years then a few years ago family came strolling back home, one bringing a spouse & baby I also hated my loss of personal freedom.
Now since I’m almost back to my being on my own I realize it was good for me. I needed the reminders of social norms. I had become a little eccentric.

same. I do like the rain tho. Put a roast in the crockpot. Made cheese corn! If uve never heard of it or had it. It is fucking amazing. Its a Korean thing. Cast iron skillet+ frozen corn, garlic, red peppers. Mayo, vinegar. A teaspoon of sugar.. Onions. Sautee all that up put a layer of cheddar cheese on top and broil it in the oven. U will thank me later lol. I know thw mayo sounds weird but it binds everything and it just melts. Its a heart attack in a skillet but whatever. Thats what I’m eating tonight with creamed spinach. Gravy from the pork drippings. Ugh. Im getting so fat lol! I dont even care tho. Try it! It will change your life. Lol.
