Stassi Schroeder came out of hiding to try to repair her reputation on Tamron Hall today. It was a live interview. That was a risky choice. It’s also an interesting choice for her agent choose a talk show with a black host to interview Stassi over her racist comments. The first package lists pretty much all the horrible things she ever said on her pod cast or social media including the horrible comments about victims of the #metoo movement, black people in general, calling her outfit “nazi chic” and the final straw…when she and Kristen called the police on Faith Stowers and identified her as a crime suspect. It’s a rough introductory package.
Stassi Is Unhappy People Might Think She Is Racist
Did Tamron just say Stassi is five months pregnant? I guess that is about right but she looks like she is going to pop. Stassi says the reason she is talking now is because she needed time to “process her feeliings.” Tamron then says perhaps the weirdest thing ever. Stassi told her staff that she doesn’t want to be portrayed as a victim. Why would Stassi think anyone would see her as the victim in this situation? Stassi says she is someone “who messed up quite a few times.” Oh I see it now, she is trying to take responsibility for her actions while at the same time bringing up that “others” see her as the victim of “cancel culture.”
Tamron says the feedback on her shows social media refer to her as a racist. Stassi says that has been the hardest part for her. Tamron replies, “It should be.” Apparently, Stassi has been going out to restaurants during a pandemic worried that people were thinking she is a racist. Stassi says she was not racist, she just wasn’t anti-racist. Um, this is not going well. Tamron starts to go in on the whole situation with Faith Stowers. She asks Stassi why she thought the person in the tabloid story was Faith. Or did she really even think it was her.
Stassi Is Not A Good Liar
Stassi says she did believe it was Faith and it was more than just the photo. She claims lots of people texted her about the photo. Tamron wants to know who those people were. Stassi claims that they were “friends of Kristen” and that part doesn’t really matter. Tamron schools Stassi on why it matters and how calling the police could have ruined Faith’s life.
I really expected Stassi to come out and say something like, “I am not a racist. But, I have in my past done some terrible things that were racist. After some refection, I recognize that now and am embarrassed and remorseful and have learned my lesson.” That is not what she is doing. She’s now saying that being on Vanderpump Rules there is a need to have conflict with others on the show. So when something like this comes to her attention, she sees it as storyline. I’m paraphrasing. She’s actually coming off even worse than that.
Stassi Schroeder Says She Believed Faith Stowers Was The Criminal
Stassi says “Don’t get me wrong, this is completely my fault, BUT, it wasn’t just a photo that they saw.”It was texts from people who the actual suspect had stolen from identifying Faith as the suspect. There needed to be a period after the word fault, not a “but.” Tamron gives her another landmine to step on. The podcast that she mad laughing at and mocking Faith and bragging about reporting her to the police was a year after she called the police. Tamron points out that even if she ever really thought it was Faith, a year later Stassi would have known for sure it wasn’t her. Yet she kept on slandering Faith on her show. Stassi says she though they were solving crimes. Tamron and I are both amazed at her apparent delusions. Plus, she’s a terrible liar.
I am shocked that Stassi didn’t bail during the first commercial break. Tamron let’s Stassi know that the Internet is buying what she is selling. Tamron says she is more concerned that Stassi doesn’t really understand the impact she could have had on Faith’s life. Stassi’s “diversity person” needs to go over that chapter with her again. This is getting worse and worse. Stassi has been taking a “how not to be racist” class or something. I don’t get the feeling she passed it.
Stassi Goes To Don’t Be Racist Class
Tamron points out that Stassi grew up in Louisiana. She seems to think that this would have taught Stassi something. It seems what it taught her was to be racist. Tamron wonders if living in LA might have made her more “woke.” It has not. We move on to the Nazi Chic incident on her Instagram which her team would not let them use on the show. Frankly, that is the least of her worries. Again, Stassi says she didn’t know any better at the time, but she does now.
So off we go again to podcast where she complained about all the speeches at the Oscars in 2017 when everyone was hashtagging #OscarsSoWhite. Stassi was complaining that all the winners were bringing it up in their speeches and said she is really sick of everyone making everything about race. And, “Why is is always just about African Americans?” Stassi says she really wanted to talk about that because now that she has gone to racism class and “learned about black history.” She is really embarrassed. I hope in her next semester of racism school they get to the social justice movement we are having now that she seems to be unaware of. Tamron just said that she is shocked by Stassi’s level of ignorance.
Lift Every Voice And Sing Stassi
Stassi practically out in the chorus of Amazing Grace…”I was blind but now, I see.” Sing it with me Stassi! Lift Every Voice and Sing, Stassi. I really do not know what I am watching here. Tamron asks Stassi to comment on Black Lives Matter. I don’t know who Stassi’s “how not to be racist” teacher is that she keeps referring to, but I don’t think she is passing the course.
Tamron asks if she thinks Jax Taylor should also be fired for his comments and his involvement with the Faith Stowers incident(s). Stassi says she doesn’t want to see any of her friends fired. Tamron asks Stassi how much what Stassi is doing now is because she has been fired from everywhere and she needs to work. She is not letting up on Stassi at all and I am here for it. Stassi says she wants to be a better person. She’s pregnant and she wants her daughter to be proud of her. #GENDERREVEAL She’s been a part of the problem and now she wants to be part of the solution.
Stassi says she doesn’t think she will ever be on Vanderpump Rules again. She also says she is entering a new phase in her life where “getting drunk and starting conflicts” just isn’t her journey anymore. And that is the merciful end of the very long interview.
