Sunday nights are jam packed with reality TV (and actual good TV) so let’s get right two a two hour 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After recap?
Paul & Karine
So If you haven’t kept up with Paul and Karine’s breaking news this weekend, pause your TV and click here to get up to date! And don’t skip the comments! That is where all the updates are! Okay, all caught up now? We are going to flash back to slightly happier times when Paul finally managed to put a roof over the head of his wife and newborn baby. Or more likely TLC did it. Because, Paul still doesn’t have a job. Paul goes shopping at a pet store with his mother so she can buy dog food and bones for his dogs. Paul says his felony arson conviction keeps him from getting a job. You don’t say. Paul’s mom says he should not have gotten married because he is a deadbeat. That has to be at least $60 work of dog food and bones.
Andrei & Libby
In Moldova, it’s the morning after the family dinner from hell. They are eating breakfast at a small table. Perhaps they have their own space? Andrei asks Libby if she is sober yet. He was the drunk one, she was not. Later, the couple takes out Libby father and brother to big bar/restaurant with ten million of Andrei’s closest friends. Libby looks miserable in all of the double interviews. They sit down at a beautiful table for dinner.

It doesn’t take long for the whole “Why did Andrei move to Ireland?” question to come up. Why keep asking that if it is clear that he doesn’t want to talk about it? Of course Andrei and the brother get into another big fight. Andrei’s friends tell Libby’s family how happy he was to move to Ireland and be with Libby. But the brother keeps making rude allegations. The arguing escalates. This feels like an interrogation. They are already married and these conversations should have already been had. Libby is caught in the middle. Andrei and Libby’s brother get up and square off to fist fight in the restaurant.

Larissa & Eric
Larissa is 33 years old and acts like a high school girl going through her boyfriend’s phone and then calling the girls. That’s something you grow out of in 9th grade. Eric comes home and they argue. Larissa goes crawling back to Carmen. How long did this reunion make it? A day? Two? This Eric dude with his Christmas lights on the wall is also a child, and my gadar pings around the bisexual mark. He doesn’t have the fashion sense to be full on gay. But, I suspect that is the problem he had with sex with Larissa.

Larissa goes to visit Carmen who is tired from a long day at work. How is Larissa surviving without working? I’m not sure if TLC can pay her directly at this point. The person on the K-1 usually gets paid through the spouse with citizenship and they have to pay the taxes. Larissa gives her poor pitiful me story. David, Eric’s roommate calls and let’s Larissa know if she doesn’t give Eric the phone back, he will report it as stolen. I wish he would.
Kalani & Asuelu
Wait! There is a “Samoan store” in Utah? Are there lots of Samoans in Utah? And they have $48 dollar cans of corned beef? Why would two people want a giant can of corned beef? Just get three or four cans of the normal size. T-shirts are $41? Asuelu wants to take money and gifts. They argue. The bill for the store is $200.

This trip is doomed. After one car ride and two flights, the baby screams the entire way to his families house. Kalani says they need to go straight to the AirBnB. The baby is exhausted and it’s late and raining. Asuelu is pissed.
Colt & Jess
Jess’s whole family gives both Colt and Debbie presents. Colt uses a translator to ask Jess’s dad for her hand in marriage. Shockingly, he says, “Si!”. Apparently. Jess is going back to Vegas with Colt and Debbie. But first they are off to spend some time in San Paulo. Wow it is super modern and clean! And this time, they have two rooms on separate floors. Debbie calls Vanessa who is house sitting their cats back in Vegas. Of course Debbie gives all the gossip on Jess. Then when Colt and Jess come by to pick her up to go out, she drops the bomb that Vanessa is house-sitting. Let the drama begin!

Is Colt finally having a breakthrough? He stays with mommy when Jess runs off. We’ll have to wait until next week to see if any of them make it out on the town. I think Debbie should got eat in the hotel restaurant or one close by on her own.
Angela & Michael
These two go to a park with monkeys running around. Nope. That is one of the top things that might keep me from moving to Costa Rica. Costa Rica did a great job with Covid From March through the end of July. And now they have had a huge spike. Even with the spike that peaked today (for now) they are still at about 120 cases per million. We are over two hundred per million and climbing. Anyway, the point of sitting down in a monkey sanctuary is so Angela can tell Michael she might have cancer. Does anyone in this couple really believe a 54 year old woman can get pregnant and carry a baby. Michael seems genuinely worried about the cancer news. He seems to really care about Angela despite how ugly she is to him. Micheal really wants to be a father. So, of course Angela is a cunt about that.

Angela’s doctor calls and lets her know that her test came back negative. All her results were fine. Angela smokes through the entire phone call. Then they talk about the many complications of having a baby at her age. Death is a possible complication. Michael and Angela reconsider the whole baby toting nonsense.
Tania & Syngin
This two are taking a car to an airport near JFK. They are flying to South Africa the next day. The start to argue on the car ride there Syngin is one of those idiots who goes barefoot on a plane. Sometimes if my feet swell on a long flight I slip my feet out and put them back down on top of my shoes. But, I’d never put bare feet on the floor of an airplane. Syngin’s mom is not thrilled he married Tania.

Syngin can’t believe they are back in South Africa. I think they are in Cape Town. It seems a lot nicer than where the couple with the husband with a gambling habit lived. The grocery store looked very nice. Syngin’s mom and sister are not sold on his marriage. Syngin seems to have one foot out the door as well.
Michael is in a no win situation. I feel sorry for both of them. Glad that Angela got a clean bill of health. Baby toting at 54…no. I chose not to have kids at any age, so my perspective may be skewed.
I have one and one on the way. No way you could get me to have a kid after the age of 45.
Can we all stop pretending Angela is 54? Come on!
Paul is 37 years old can’t support his wife, child, or dogs. His record is a definitely a hinder, but there are a lot of programs specifically for people with felonies to get jobs so I doubt he’s even trying.
Colt and Debbie are way too codependent for Cole to ever have a real relationship.
Micheal and Angela will make it work I think. I was surprised that she was in such good health despite physical appearance.
This show always makes me feel better about being single.
I’m so tired of Angela always being a bullying ass to Michael. I mean, I think he was intensely naive to think Angela was physically at an age where carrying a biological child would be likely, but I also think she fed into the fantasy by acting so adamantly like it COULD happen up until now. I know it DOES happen through fertility interventions, but every year past 45, even those interventions don’t have high success rates. They also cost a LOT of money. I had a friend who took out a second mortgage with her husband on their house to pay for them when she couldnt get pregnant by 40 and it still took them 3 years of treatments and basically every last dime before they had twins. And she hadn’t even gone through menopause like Angela already has. Angela knew it was really important to Michael to be a biological father and now she acts like he should give that up in an instant. That’s a HARD dream to just trash in a moment. She never has a bit of empathy for his feelings. It makes me sad.
And I’m sorry, JustJenn. I meant my comment to be general, but it came up as a reply to yours.
I agree, Angela is terrible but for some reason Michael seems to actually love her…I don’t get it. I also don’t think she ever planned on having a baby much like Big Ed.
I think Michael genuinely loves her, too, I just can’t figure out why. She’s always so mean. I also think she had to know it was not only near impossible, but that she wasn’t interested in physically having Michael’s child, even if it were. Which makes me mad because she knew it was a huge dream of Michael’s. She just never cares how he feels and it’s so awful.
Paul applied for the wrong reality show. He should be on Pitbulls & Paroles. Why do people want pure-breed dogs? He spent hundreds of dollars to buy the dogs, yet can’t afford diapers. HIs mom continues to enable him. I am thankful his mom paid for the dog bones for the dogs. The dogs deserve a better dad too.
I don’t have a problem with Elizabeth’s brother’s questions. I wonder if he continues to ask the questions because Andrei didn’t answer them in Florida. Now he can ask Andrei’s friends the questions. I think Andrei is hiding stuff from Elizabeth and her family. If Andrei was honest in Florida, the questions wouldn’t be asked in Moldova. Andrei was rude to them when he first arrived in Florida. I am sure Elizabeth is complaining to her dad and brother about Andrei not working, so they have a right to be protective of her. It is always more complicated when a spouse talks to a family member negatively about their spouse. A spouse can forgive another spouse, but a family member holds onto the issue longer.
Larissa just needs to go away. Far, far away. Why are we subjected to Colt and Larissa? I need them off one of my favorite tv shows. I did love it when Debbie admitted she knew Jess didn’t like Vanessa. Debbie is ornery.
As a dog owner, I feel compelled to say, you don’t just go out and purchase random food for your dogs! They can get sick that way!!
Paul should be feeding them EXACTLY what they had been eating all that time he was out of the Country!! He should know better!
You’re absolutely right, but my guess is he doesn’t know or care what they were fed and also since he has no money to feed them now he’s just taking whatever his mommy is willing to buy. I REALLY dislike Paul.
As long as you haven’t completely run out of the old dog food it’s not a problem. People change dog foods all the time. Banjo likes his kibble for a few months, then he doesn’t. He will pick out the new dog food and eat it and leave the old.and he has like a three inch long mouth, I don’t see how he can literally sift through the kibble and pick each one separately.. I ran out during the pandemic and my shopper could find the weird kind he eats. And he go new kibble with the same wet food and no problem. Which reminds me, we need more kibble again.
Right now we are having yet another thunderstorm so I STILL haven’t been to bed from yesterday. I may not be on it tonight. I’ll try to at least get Below Deck Med.
We’re having another thunderstorm, too, up here and that’s third day of storms in a row. I longed for an end to our drought because watering the yard and garden was killing me, but this is a bit MUCH. I haven’t had a dog in decades, we have cats now, but I’ve heard some pure breds can get serious stomach issues from sudden changes in diet (from friends who’ve had them). I guess I don’t know if that’s true first hand. I suppose we should all just be happy Paul’s dogs are getting fed at all. Is Banjo doing ok with all the thunder? Our cats get on edge during storms.
I have three mixed chihuahuas and there’s no way they can change their food we tried mixing it little by little over even a month or two month. And as soon as they get the new food it upset their stomach they’ve been eating the same food over and over and the vet told me absolutely do not change their food maybe bigger dogs have bigger stomachs and they’re better at it
Yeah, I needed an 80 pound dog because they are harder to accidentally kill. 🙂 #FirstDog #ProbablyLastDog
Dogs eat rotten animals, garbage and often poop. They can handle a brand change, lol.
Thank you TT for the recap. 💛 I am embarrassed by the way Elizabeth ‘s father and brother are acting. It is rude. I can’t imagine allowing my husband to be treated like that, and just do nothing. Tania said something last night that shows she wants Syngin to change. Seems like usually you learn eventually you cannot change your husband because you married him. He usually loved you and wants to marry you because you love him for him. I hope that he stays and she learns quickly either accept him as is, or let him go.
Angela is going to force Michael to resent her by her using everything in a threat.
She’s abusive, and he constantly is saying “I’M SORRY” over and over . He is in a abusive relationship. He needs to say goodbye.
Kalani & Asuelu – WTF!! – Asuelu has no understanding of ANYTHING – WTF was that conversation in the store about family/money/love/support $$$$$$$$ and don’t worry God gives you free money as and when you need it?
Honestly I only had one Irish coffee today – Did I hallucinate that conversation perhaps I was to busy with the thought of cornbeef – I love cornbeef.
I kept staring at that whole Kalani and Asuelu shopping trip like I was clearly hearing things, too. First off, I couldn’t understand WHY they went to a little Samoan gift shoppe to buy presents for her in-laws. For almost $200 they could have bought a load more at Wal-Mart or even Target. Do the relatives really want sarongs and impossibly priced $48 cans of corned beef? Why were the shirts $40? And aren’t they going to see mostly female relatives? Why were they buying men’s shirts? Why do Asuelu’s relatives who have ALSO been living in the U.S. suddenly expect gifts and cash? Are they all not working? And if they’ve been here awhile, they certainly have to realize money isn’t growing on trees and the job market isn’t great, so why would Asuelu have so much more to just hand out. Do they realize he and Kalani live with her parents to save money? Once again, Asuelu’s behavior at the store was so childlike I think he has cognitive challenges. I don’t know how Kalani manages to keep on with all this.
I really think he is on the autism spectrum and either hasn’t been diagnosed or they have not had any work with him
It is the only logical explanation – His family are confusing me his mum bounces between Samoa and Washington and his half -sisters lives @SLM expressed her/my thoughts on that – $$$$#Supermarket Surreal
The preview for next week creeped me out with Kalani and Asuelu sitting down with his half sister and mom. It almost looked like they know he has cognitive challenges and they were hoping to use that to manipulate him into giving them cash. And to tell Kalani it isn’t her business about the gifting of money. Do they have ANY idea that Asuelu basically has almost no money of his own? I know they get paid for the shows when there is filming, but I got the sense (maybe incorrectly) that goes to Kalani. I reiterate I don’t know how Kalani keeps so calm and just keeps rolling with this. The first time they asked for money I would have sent them $100 via PayPal and said, there’s your one time lifetime gift. Have fun, there won’t be more, ever.
@SLM – I have been feeling very uncomfortable since they discussed visiting Somoa and as each episodes continues I may have to seriously stop watching or shout at the TV as I will need to vent.
I think that Kalani needs to wake up and realize that she doesn’t have a marriage. She is caring for 2 babies and an adult man-child. His family is beyond crazy to think that Kalani doesn’t have any right to comment on Asuelu giving the family money. Any money that he makes should take care of his wife and kids first. Then, they decide how much, if any, money they give to the family. That is just maddening to me.
The Andrei and Elizabeth situation is just f’ed up. She waits until they get to Moldova to grow a spine and talk back to Andrei?! Why not tell him in Florida, that she has a problem with him being the *home-stay* Dad? I don’t think that they have any business getting married again. I believe that Andrei is absolutely hiding something about why he went to Ireland in the first place. It is about time that he just tells them what it is. Good or bad, he just needs to come clean.
I think Andrei certainly owes some answers to Libby about his past if she’s asking privately, but I think her family is being weirdly invasive. I also think it’s SO CRINGEY that everyone, including Libby and Andrei, keep discussing private issues/concerns within their relationship with every one. Yeesh, don’t draw everyone into your marriage. Talk to each other candidly and privately. Otherwise, you keep up the idea that your relationship is free for everyone to get into and stomp around in.
And yes, I realize the irony in my advice to them when they’re on a show about their relationship. BUT, I still think it’s incredibly weird they want to discuss such private marriage things with their families, and in large groups of family members. And at nice dinners where I would just want to eat and make small talk. Why ruin every damn meal??
Talk privately when you’re on a ‘reality’ show?! Then you don’t get invited back for next season.
I know, I’m talking sense and not ratings, which totally defeats the purpose. My bad!
Just when I thought I was all by myself in the Libbys’s family is rude but Andrei is just bizarre. I know they mentioned it on their first season of 90 day, but everyone forgets that Andrei did live in the US as a young man and overstayed his visa. He had at least one incident that lead to an arrest when he was a bouncer in NY. He got the K 1 likely because the K 1 was filed 10 years after his overstay. 10 years is the usual length of time for exclusion from the US for a previous visa issue. Not to excuse anyone’s behavior, but I always sensed that their story left out something major.

And to think Kalani gave up her job and nice home in the OC to go off and marry this mentally challenged idiot.. She needs to dump his ass STAT and get on with her life. She’s lucky she has a supportive family to help bail her out of this mess. He will never amount to anything.
I think I remember it being said that part of the K-1 process was the US citizen agreed to be financially responsible for the other person after they married for the next 10 years, even if they divorced. I don’t think that sounds like that’s possible, though. Does anyone know? I mean, Colt doesn’t seem to be financially supporting Larissa. If that IS accurate I can see maybe why Kalani doesn’t want to ditch Asuelu just yet. He might be more of a burden without her monitoring him than he is with her daily oversight.
Larissa lost the ten year thing because she was arrested for assaulting Colt.
Ahhh, I see. Does that mean the ten year financial responsibility thing exists?
Yes as long as they stay in the country for up to ten years.
That explains, in my mind, why so many of them stay with spouses like Asuelu. I mean, I can only imagine what he’d be like without Kalani supervising him constantly.
And just to clarify, when I wrote, “spouse’s like Asuelu,” I meant ones that the person is clearly fed up with on every level in the marriage and has reason not to trust them.
