Getting Caught Up ON The Chi

July 24, 2020 by tamaratattles 24 Comments

The ChiThis is such an intriguing show. And Kandi’s character was SHOCKING. You need to watch this from season one on Showtime on Demand. Kandi arrives on episode four of season of season three. AND. SHE. DOES. NOT. DISAPPOINT. And her walk in song probably gave Nene an aneurysm! lol.

Then there is this nonspoilerish scene where one of the kids on the show gets a private school scholarship and the school lady introduces the kid and his mother. White guy says, “Your son is very bright! He could be the next Ben Carson! ” Then the mom replies, “Let’s hope not.” ROFLMAO.

As I am trying to catch up on The Chi, I am checking in on basically how soon we are going to die. And the news is “VERY SOON.”  Chaos is happening in the actual city of Chicago, where I once lived in the burbs.  This is really not good. I do not know what is happening in my country.

I have to just go back to the show. This show is the best thing on TV. I am trying to not watch dark things. And it has lots of violence and dark moments…but there is also light, and hope. But most of all it’s just the TRUTH. And if you are interested in social justice, especially before the next RHOA.  I suggest you watch it.  It says a lot about why this country is the way it is. And I like that it is not set in the south. Because it is everywhere. This is a show that I save for myself and pile up three or four episodes before watching so please don’t spoil me. This is just a Covid 19 public service announcement. 🙂

If you need a good show this weekend, and you have Showtime, this is the show you can binge

I really wanted to see The Chi, but I had to give up my movie channels. My cable bill had become crazy expensive. I’ll have to see if I can buy a dvd set on Amazon.

You can at least watch all of season 2 & season 3 on Brokensilenze.net. You just have to click back & forth a couple times to get past the pop up adds

You can get Showtime on your phone or tablet for a small monthly fee. That’s how we watch it.

The cable bill should not be the most expensive bill in the house, but sadly, it is these days ☹️

I would love to watch it, but I don’t have Showtime. I too am concerned about our country. It is sad to watch the chaos that is happening right now. Prayers for USA!

The Chi is a great show and I have watched it since season 1. I hate that Jason Mitchell messed up and got fired because he did a great job. I especially love the three boys Papa, Jake and Kevin. This season, they are delving more into the female characters. The woman who plays Nina does a fantastic job of portraying a woman terrified about her missing daughter. I almost spit out my water when she made the retort about Ben Carson. I also am imagining NeNe having a fit over Kandi. If you watch the first show, you will want to watch rest of the series.

I love this show but Kandi’s acting feels too forced, even the love scene, I was like they should have gotten someone else.

Maybe she’s a little nervous. She’s brand new to acting on TV in the nude. I would be a robot!

Great show. There are some situations that they don’t address that I wanted closure for.

I live in Chicago. In a black neighborhood. It’s not chaos here. Don’t believe the hyped up news. Crime and protests are happening everywhere and it’s very disturbing hoe chicago is painted.

I believe you. The situation in Portland right now is intense and what you see on the news isn’t exactly wrong. But it continues to be at night, in a certain area and if you choose not to engage you won’t get hurt.

You can even go to protest up to a certain extent and it’ll probably be ok. Just know that at a certain point shit will get real and if you don’t want to get yourself tear gassed, time to go home.

Yesterday the attorney Generals request to restrict their (federal agents) actions was denied.
So.. we’re innit for awhile longer.

Kandi is KILLING it! She is sexy, sassy & smart! The Chi is such a good show, and I love that kid PAPA!!!!

And NO way could Nene have been a candidate for Kandi’s roll.

I’m loving it. ANOTHER SPECTRUM DVR GLITCH means I can’t record until midnight because apparently Shahs is going to be taped TWICE at 9 pm. How is that even possible?

I’ll reply to you, Jess! I just started my binge after reading TT’s article, too. I’m on S1E8 now. Friggin LOVE The Chi and all cast! I was a Precinct Captain for 7 yrs On near West side. This brings back a lot of good memories. But the deaths on the show have been heartbreaking.

Thanks, TT! Been your fan for almost 10 yrs now. Wow! You do a great job…throughout everything! :).
