90 Day Fiance The Other Way Recap: I’m Not Your Baby!

July 14, 2020 by tamaratattles 55 Comments

90 Day Fiance The Other WayOnce again, this 90 Day Fiance The Other Way recap only covers the first hour of the episode. I feel like they are trying to drag things out because this is the most popular version of 90 Day Fiance. Even thought it gets the fewest comments on this site most of the time. I am brain dead from working on my stupid income tax and recapping Below Deck. I’m ready to start buying the old people supplements that are supposed to bolster brain function. I’m not even kidding. But I neeeeeed to see Armando and Kenny tonight. I hope there is very little if any Tim and Melyza.

Brittany & Yazan

I had almost forgotten about these two. Just like I forget to roll the trash out, or take my vitamins or most of all what I got up to do in the kitchen. 🙂 It’s the morning of Brittany’s first full day in Jordan. The night before she and Yazan had a huge fight before even getting out of the airport parking lot. I don’t blame Brittany for hugging the producers or even for the tequila. Both are legal in Jordan contrary to Yazan’s statements. They are simply haram (forbidden) for Muslims. Brittany is not Muslim. At least not yet. I’m pretty sure Allah would not be happy with him for yelling fuck you at his fiance in public either.

Yazan arrives with a flower for Brittany but she is expecting an apology for his behavior. She doesn’t really get one. But he seems sort of ready to be over it. I suppose that will have to suffice for now. He wants to take her to see his parents. He has brought her something to wear. Probably a hijab. Or a burka. On the way there they fight again over her hugging her American production team. She too has customs. They have the same fight over and over. Yazan knew she was not Muslim. He also knew she likes to my Internet videos with next to no clothing on in front of other men. Did he really think she was going to wear a burka? Or even a hijab? This has to be fake. Then Brittany puts on the hijab. she looks really cute in it.

Brittany Continues To Conceal That She Is Still Married

Here goes nothing. Yazan and Brittany fight all the way to his parents house. Yazan’s parents want this to speak with Brittany’s father and then get married on Sunday. FYI Friday is the religious day in Muslim countries. The work/school week is Sunday through Thursday. It too me a while to understand why the US work week starts on Monday when even our calendar weeks start on Sunday and run through Saturday. Yazan says the wedding must wait until her family can come to Jordan. Really, she’s stalling because she is currently married.

Click Here For More 90 Day Fiance The Other Way Recaps!

Yazan’s dad seems to be catching on that she may have been previously married. He is also concerned about her apparent lack of desire to convert to Islam right away. Brittany tells Yazan she is interested in Islam but a religious conversion is not something she is going to rush into. He says that she wants to “go slow like a baby.” She politely (for a change) tells him not to be condescending to her. Someone must be translating for the mother who doesn’t want her face on camera. She says someone needs to tell her that Islamic women respect their husbands and if he says she’s a baby, she’s a baby. You do not say no to your husband. Well, for on thing, he is not her husband.

Oh my! Yazan’s dad knows about her THOTish social media. This is not good. He says she has to stop all the social media if she wants to be with Yazan. He says they will take good care of her. Yazan translates in a very different way. He leaves out all of his father’s kindness. Apparently, everyone has a translator in an ear bud. Yazan’s mom goes off saying they have been together for a year and she wants her son married and her having babies. Her day says in Arabic that her behavior on social media makes her look like a prostitute! Then Brittany storms out. But it’s true! If you want to marry into a Muslim family you have to live as a Muslim. You can’t be an Internet THOT.

90 Day Fiance The Other Way recapAri & Biniyam

Ari and Biniyam are at their apartment where “world traveler”Ari is unhappy with the accommodations, and seemingly unable to care for herself by simply helping make the bed. Ari’s mom gets her first gander at her pregnant daughter’s living arrangements. She is not having it. Biniyam claims he has a better apartment that is not ready yet. WTF has he be waiting for? Why is Ari’s mom so shocked at the living conditions in a third world country? I am annoyed with these two Americans. Biniyam takes Ari and her mom to the apartment he is renovating. It is a disaster, and very, very far from being complete. It would take at least six months to finish this apartment on based on whatever his budget is.

Armando & Kenny

In Mexico we catch up with Armando making a little welcome home collage for Kenny. I rewind to remind myself how old he is. He’s 31. I’m just saying. That’s a bit past the arts and crafts stage. There apartment is very cute. And Armando has the God given sense to stock the kitchen and get the apartment set up. So at least there is that. He is smarter than me with a glue gun. I am not allowed to use a glue gun. 🙁 Armando says the Kenny prefers his crafty gifts. I must say it turned out quite nice. The apartment has amazing ocean views. I want to live there.

Kenny has been on a bittersweet four day drive across America he misses his family but he is so excited to see Armando and their new place.

90 Day Fiance The Other Way JihoonDeavan & Jihoon

This couple is having a huge crisis regarding housing. Alson, Jihoon has a lot of Asuelu tendencies and deficiencies. Jihoon is back with apologies and and explanation. He said meeting her and knowing he was in debt and then becoming a father was overwhelming. He’s 29 though and she is 23. He should have been able to work as many real jobs as it took to get himself together. He’s too old to be a part time delivery boy who lives with his parents.

Click Here For More 90 Day Fiance The Other Way Recaps!

After just telling Deavan that morning he had no money, the very same day he says he has been putting all of his money into his mother’s account so she can manage it for him. He says he has $3000. But he has been depositing his money into her account for four months? He says he averages $2000 a month as a part time delivery person. Shouldn’t that be eight thousand? Deavan says she doesn’t want to be with him anymore. She is going to a hotel with her mom and the kids to think.

90 Day Fiance The Other Way Reca[ppJenny & Sumit

Jenny and Sumit go out on a paddle boat with one of Sumit’s friends, Neeraj. She is pissed that Sumit has yet to take her to the lawyer to see the divorce papers yet. He keeps postponing it until “tomorrow.” Neeraj feels bad about not telling Jenny that Sumit was married. But, he knew Sumit never wanted to marry her and always wanted to be with Jenny. Neeraj says that he has been trying to get divorced for four years. She’s fighting him in court.

Click Here For More 90 Day Fiance The Other Way Recaps!

Sumit, a habitual liar, says that his will never take that long because he and his wife have agreed on a settlement. But, it seems like he not only has not paid, it’s going to take him a very long time to pay. Sumit wants them to get on their feet before going to the lawyer. Ummm hmmm. Neeraj says Sumit needs to take her to the lawyer tomorrow and let her see all the paperwork. Once again, Sumit agrees to go with her the next day. Sure, Jan.

Next Week: I feel like they are teasing up so much with Kenny and Armando, but next week, it seems Kenny finally gets to come home. Sadly, we will probably also get way too much Tim and Melyza. Jenny finds out that Sumit’s divorce could take two to five years. Or maybe more. Jihon cries over Deavan to his mother. Things escalate with Brittany and Yazan.

I love Armando and Kenny! I really REALLY hope they work out. I also like Jenny and Sumit. He does seem like a liar though, but I do believe he loves her and is just scared to tell her the actual truth (that it’ll take some years) because she’ll go back home. Yazan and Britney would of never worked out. Sometimes I feel like they are scripted. She said from the beginning she would not convert and she avoided all talk about his religion. I feel bad for his family because it did seem like the dad was trying to be nice about it even when she left he told her go check on her. Mom was upset but I think she had a right to be she didn’t want her son to look like a fool. Karine and Paul… i like her not him lol. Asuelu is a big baby and he just keeps showing us that every episode. Jehoon (i think that’s how you spell it) is also a man child. I won’t even mention C or L because I feel they shouldn’t even be featured. Sorry for the long post!

-Dont care about Jenny and Sumit. Boooooring……
-The Britney/Yazan segment was intense. Mother Yazan acted like she was going to slap her future daughter-in- law. Sis needs to go home!

Amen to that! I really want to slap Brittany. She was completely delusional about what her life in Jordan, in love with a Muslim man, would be like. She made no effort to adapt. If she were white, she would be a poster child for white privilege. When we travel, it is upon US to respect the cultures where we visit…it is not the responsibility of the host country to bend to visitors. It was juvenile and irresponsible of her not to research Islam and what would be expected of her. She should definitely go home.

Armando and Kenny are the best! Kenny dancing in the car was priceless. And Armando’s excitement at his arrival made me want to hug him. I hope they’re safe in the gated community. I always wonder about those inside the gate.

I disagree somewhat about Brittany. She’s not Muslim, and she hasn’t really been trying to behave disrespectfully. We greet with hugs/handshakes here. The production team is people she’s probably familiar with. I understand why Yazan got bent out of shape, but she’s NOT Muslim. She can have alcohol all she wants. It’d be different if she was in the process of converting, but that’s not what’s happening. You can tell they’ve had this conversation before.

The Britney/Yazan segment was mind blowing – Brittany are you also SORRY for being a liar?

    Yazan your a total Twonk.

I wonder why these two want their 15 mins of fame?

Brittany for her social media presence- Yazan may just want a captured THOT in the bedroom all for himself as he has his OWN personal interpretation of the Koran .

Armando/Kenny – “When will I see you again” -” When will we share precious moments” – I love these two.

Ari/Biniyam – My brain won’t get past – Your pregnant in Ethiopia.

Jenny is penniless. She cashed in her 401K and quit her job to live with Summit the first time. If she is making money off this show, she should use every penny for his divorce because that is what is keeping them on tv.

I too can’t understand Ari because both her parents work in the medical field and she is choosing to have a baby in Ethiopia.

I want to be Kenny and Armando’s bff. I love these guys. I want to dance with Kenny and use Armando’s glue gun.

I never understand these women who go to other countries and are surprised or angry about living conditions and customs there. Such as dressing appropriately (and I don’t mean wearing the hijab, just not showing too much skin or cleavage like Rebecca did which caused a fight with a stranger) public displays of affection (like Nicole wanting to hang all over Azan which he explained a million times to her wasn’t appropriate), or our current clueless woman Ari. She was in Ethiopia before. Did she not notice the conditions? And Brittany. Oh lord. This is the mismatch of all time. They have nothing in common. They don’t want the same things in life. They don’t have the same values. There can be a blending of some cultures for some couples. But not these two.

So I have a question. If Sumit has every intention of divorcing and is working towards it, is it really an issue that it is going to take time? Is it because they have to be married for Jenny to stay in the country? I am obviously dumb to all the legalities in other countries.
I don’t know what Yazan was thinking about Brittany. If you wanted a traditional wife than you obviously should have agreed to all that stuff before hand.

      Excellent question- Options are

      1. Tourist Visa: Valid for 6 months to 10 years for US nationals only, however after 6 months you would have to do a visa run.

      2. The India Tourist eVisa is valid for 1 year and grants Multiple Entry of 90 days for tourist purposes and up to 180 days for business purposes.

So legally you can stay for between 90 days to 6 months depending on the type of visa.

If Jenny has a 10 year visa she could go to Nepal for 2/3 weeks and then legally enter India.

I laughed out loud when Kenny, after crossing into Mexico, said something to his Chihuahua, Truffles, like, “Back in the mother land, huh?”

Whaddya wanna bet that the scene in the previews of Kenny at the door, is the LAST scene of next week’s episode!! They’ll make us watch him get lost in the town, etc., before finally getting there. Production knows that we love this couple and will drag it out as long as they can. I, too, was very pleasantly, pleased with the outcome of Armando’s craft project.

Ari hardly seems ready to be in an adult relationship when her mother does all of the talking to Biniyam. Ari just stands there looking at him like, “yeah, what she said.”

I think all the problems in the Yazan/Brittany debacle stem from neither one of them being meaningfully truthful – with themselves or their families. In the meet up with the parents I came away feeling the most bad for Yazan’s father. Clearly, Yazan has been telling his family, parents, friends and probably even co workers that Brittany is dying to marry immediately and convert to conservative Islam. She’s not and she’s told him this flat out several times. I also got the feeling from the way his dad talked about her social media offerings that Yazan likely lied and said something along the lines that maybe Brittany does it just to survive because she has no husband or much family. It would explain why his dad was trying so hard to convey she was now free to stop that because Yazan would be her husband and they would care and protect her, as in she didn’t have to worry. I believe he was trying to be sincere and kind based on the info he had and the cultural differences. I don’t think he meant to be insulting and he seemed genuinely confused and worried when Brittany was crying. Yazan’s mom swooping in to get loud and angry really wasn’t called for or justifiable, but, again, I think his parents are baffled because Yazan has been painting one false picture after another for them and they can’t really assess anything clearly. That doesn’t let Brittany off the hook for lying about her marital status – she can’t really make any completely honest moves in this whole situation because she knows she’s not free. I think if Yazan and Brittany had sat down with his parents and explained EVERYTHING with all the info, they likely would have calmly counseled them that without MAJOR willing changes for both of them, it wasn’t going to work. And they would have pointed out that culturally this would be almost impossible for Yazan. It seems like an entirely avoidable mess if either of these two had sense or personal integrity to be forthright.

SLM – I’ve been meaning to write all week and say that I think you hit the nail on the head completely with your assessment. The dad does seem like he really cares and is confused. Yazan tells Brittany one thing, but expects another. Magical thinking… he thinks it will all just work out the way he wants.

I have a theory about Brittany. She may be the type of person who subconsciously seeks out relationships that will not work out. It is a defense mechanism to avoid truly being hurt. A relationship that has a future requires being vulnerable. She mentioned her mother’s abandoning the family. That really must cause a primal wound. You can’t get hurt if you never emotionally invest. Dating old men old enough to be her grandfather, won’t go anywhere. If she was just a gold digger she wouldn’t have been living with her father.
Yazan comes from what appears to be from a very traditional Muslim family. There are a lot of Jordanian people who are followers of Islam, who are not nearly as devout. There is no way these two could be together and everyone involved would be pleased. Someone needs to get this woman on a plane and drop her off with a therapist.

I’ve been told it stands for a couple different things, including That Ho Over There and Too Hot On Tap. Both are pretty crass sounding, and I’m not sure if I’ve been told correctly. Essentially, I understand it refers to a young woman who aggressively sexualizes herself for personal gain (like Brittany saying she attracts the attention of older men who lavish her with gifts). That’s the description, I am making no judgments nor am I saying I agree with the definition/assumption. I don’t care what a woman does with her own body. That’s her business.

Okay, so I lived in Jordan for 2 years and it really is a mix bag of religions but it is majority Muslim. You are free to walk around without a hijab but you have to be modest in dressing. When you enter a holy place or a Muslim home you need to wear the hijab out of respect for the home or holy place. Brittney knows this because the mom spilled the beans when she said you have been dating my son for over a year now. She knows the rules and understands them. The father is very patient with her but she has not taken any time to research Islam or read about it and speak with Muslims who are very conservative/old school Islam like Yazan parents. Their is more to the story then what we are seeing and I believe Brittney told them she was divorced and a bunch of other tall tales and they are all catching up to her and hence why the mom went off on her and started yelling because she feels Brittney is not telling the truth and they have been very patient with her. They would probably let her be her if she just meet them half way with everything and even let her keep the social media ( but she would have to change what she post). I believe she is just doing this to gain followers and to be famous. It also seems as if the producers her egging her on to act a fool, be impolite, cuss and talk a lot of trash. Her mouth is horrible and not very becoming of a woman at all. The hugging and drinking issue is because he is super conservative and they do not believe in that. Again, she knows this and should have kept the alcohol in the bag and just shook hands and said hello to the producers. I guarantee the producers are telling her to act a fool and it would make good tv for her.

Agree with all you said. Honestly, I didn’t think anyone could possibly be more naive or ignorant than Nicole when she was visiting Azan, but Brittany has managed to take the cake. And, to top it off, she is defiant about not conforming to their ways! I totally think this is scripted and I’m actually concerned for her safety. This story pushes the limits on responsible entertainment/production, if you ask me. She’s an idiot – “I am an independent black American woman!” Yep, and that’s fine, in AMERICA, you fool. Maybe she will appreciate her freedoms a bit more after she parachutes down to that therapist….

I’m getting ready to watch Sunday and Monday episodes. I noticed that Sunday night around 1:00am is the first half hour of Monday night THE OTHER WAY that will be on Monday.

As far as Sumit goes, I think the deal with him is the payoff to the wife. The wife isn’t going to cooperate until she gets her money. Or at least she isn’t going to sign any final documents until she’s paid off. Hopefully Sumit has something like a settlement agreement on file that Jenny can see as well as the amount that is still owed. That way she can know it’s in the works. If there’s nothing in writing, nothing on file then Sumit lied again. I really hope for Jenny’s sake there is an actual document for her to see. It may take a while but that’s better than some vague assurance it’s going to happen.

Thanks TT for recapping this, I’m obsessed with all of the 90 variations! Kenny & Armando are most definitely the ones to root for this season, and Armando’s daughter is the sweetest little thing!

I just can’t see Brittany & Yazan working out, but I wore pleather parachute pants in the 80’s, so what do I know.

Jenny is old, her children are grown, so if she wants to fuck up the rest of her life, then so be it, but I really wish she wouldn’t have placed all of her proverbial eggs in Sumit’s basket. That basket has a hole in it the size of the Grand Canyon.

When Ari said sh couldn’t make a bed/take care of herself, I understood her mother’s desire to wisk her back to the US. And Deaven needs to be seated next to Ari on that plane ride home.

I wore MC Hammer pants in the 90s.

Jenny isn’t f*cking up just her life. She is f*cking up her grown daughters. Before she went to India Jenny had spent the past 5 months on her daughter’s couch. Where is she going to go if thinks don’t work out? I adore Jenny so seeing her get strung along stinks. One question. What type of job does Summit have? He needs to make enough $$$ to support himself/Jenny and to make payments to his soon to be Ex-Wife

Yes, she is definitely stressing out her daughter and wife. Does her daughter have kids? Can’t be fun watching mom/grandma sleep on the couch.

I was pissed watching her draw her SS early and taking a loss for drawing it early, so she could support them in India. I think I recall him once mentioning he worked in customer service, but I could be mistaken.

If I remember correctly Jenny’s daughter does have children. When I saw Jenny drawing early on her SS……noooooooooooooo. You have to wait as long as possible to get the maximum benefit. And I don’t think Jenny has an IRA or 401K. Maybe I’m weird, but I could never be financially dependent on someone else. Nor would I put up with my significant other not having a job. Good Luck Jenny

I need a 90 Day show with Yazan’s mama and daddy, Colt’s Mama and Deavan’s mama.

This may be the worst idea for a show ever.
