Finally we get the episode we have been waiting for when Fredrik Eklund shows up to take over the LA Real Estate Market. But before we get to this week’s MDLLA recap, there is some news about Mauricio and The Agency. First much ado was made about Mauricio closing one of his offices. Why? Who knows. The Agency is doing just fine. But for me the big news is Kendra Wilkinson was hired by The Agency just a few weeks after passing the California real estate licensing test! I love The Girl Next Door show that was about Hugh Hefner’s three girlfriends, one of whom was Kendra. I want her either to be on RHOBH, MDLLA, or SOMETHING! Okay, let’s get me to my happy place, Fredrik. I hope we get to see the babies!
Josh Flagg is officially gay. I thought that was established by his gay dating and marrying a man, but apparently it takes receiving a card in the mail verifying the fact. For some reason someone paid $50 to send him a literal “gay card.” According to the whackadoodle card, he’s only been gay since 2011. If we had only known he was straight prior to that we all could have had a chance! LOL.
Josh is out showing houses to his new quirky client Heather who has no idea what she wants in a house. Her son is adorable and Josh is giving us a mini tour of celebrity homes. Flagg takes Heather to a home in Little Holmby Hills. Big Holmby Hills is where are the big stars live. It’s at the top of her budget at just under five million. It’s also 5,000 square feet. That’s too big for a single woman with one child! I will never get why people want 99 bathrooms and eleventy five bedrooms. What’s the point? I hate galley kitchens, too. Oh I want to live in the guest house! It’s perfect for me. I just need about 1000 square feet and a beautiful pool outside! One of my favorite Cali friends, Julie and I love drinks by a pool! After negotiations Heather takes the deal at $5,825,000.
I seem to recall liking Tracy at some point. But now I just sigh when I see her segments. It is hard to believe that the terrible fires in Malibu were in 2018! It seems like yesterday, but the market is coming back. Tracy has a shot at listing a $75 million dollar castle with an investor who has many, many other things she could list. I really hope Fredrik comes in to steal this. The castle is fugly. I would not buy it with my imaginary Internet husband’s money. What is the opposite of claustrophobia? Because I think I have both. There is seating for billions in every room. NOPE. I don’t even like the views. I do like the giant walnut bowl bathtub. But that’s it.
The investor is also a lunatic. The guy wants to show his own house. He says he always does it. He has a $500 billion dollar portfolio according to him that he wants to give to one agent. She has seven days to writing a detailed marketing plan. I would not do that either. What’s to stop him from just using her contacts and marketing plan? Fredrik would not have left without a deal. What she needs to do is find a buyer. Tracy returns in a week with dozens of plans for her Malibu pitch. Tracey got the listing. $500,000,000 in properties.
The Altman Brothers are moving to a new office. Altman is pissed that Fredrik is moving to LA. He’s pissed that Fredrik didn’t tell him he was moving there. Fredrik already has an open house. Altman’s wife, Heather went to Fredrik’s open house and apparently it was not pleasant. Heather claims Fredrik never told them he was setting up an office here. Altman is pissed. They were both friends with Fredrik. They just feel lied to. Fredrik says he did tell them.
Finally, with less than ten minutest in show we see Fredrik visiting Altman. Altman is pissed because he feels Fredrik came after Heather who is eight months pregnant. Wow. She looks like she is four or five at the most. Altman seems to have a point. He showed Fredrik properties for potential vacation homes. He never told them he was going to start his own LA team with Douglass Ellison out there. Also, Fredrik has been telling people that Altman is intimidated that he is in LA. I am surprised I am siding with Altman in this situation. But I am. Fredrik seems to think he is in the wrong also. He apologizes. They agree to be friends and hug it out.
