One of Tamara Tattles best sources has provided me with some interesting, yet confusing, exclusive information regarding Radar Online. I’m trying to sort through it but between my Covid brain, the dentist fiasco, and just generally not feeling well, it’s a lot to sort out. But Tamara Tattles exclusive source claims Nene Leakes may have put the final nail in Radar Online’s coffin. But I need to give a rather lengthy backstory until we get to the Nene Leakes part.
Let me try to start from the beginning. Radar Online is owned by American Media. American Media owns a lot of tabloids and fitness magazines including The National Enquirer. American Media was planning to sell The National Enquirer to Hudson News for $100 million in early 2019. That sale never happened. Instead, Jeff Bezos accused the National Enquirer of blackmailing him over nude photos. And also with private text messages with his then girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez. American Media felt that the richest man in the world could afford a few million dollars to shut them up.
More Background On Radar Online
Instead, Bezos response was “Of course I don’t want personal photos published, but I also won’t participate in their well-known practice of blackmail, political favors, political attacks, and corruption. I prefer to stand up, roll this log over, and see what crawls out.” Basically, Bezos replied with “game on.” And that dealt a blow to American Media including a “change in corporate structure.” There was also a whole thing with American Media being accused of “catch and kill practices.” Basically America Media CEO David Pecker (heh) is a Trump Supporter. And, Pecker was paying for exclusive rights to negative stories about Trump that were never published.
The point is American Media that owns Radar Online was having a lot of struggles over the past couple of years. And Jeff Bezos is also CEO at the Washington Post . The Post ho has published many articles that irritate Trump. At some point, the staff at Radar Online was drastically cut. There have been very few new stories on the site for months. Additionally. the pandemic drastically cut revenue at American Media. American Media generates revenue from print tabloids sold in the checkout aisle of most grocery stores.
And Now For The Part Where Nene Leakes Enters The Picture
Nene Leakes hired Lisa Bloom to represent her in early spring. There is a lot of inaccurate information on the Internet about why she did. First, no lawsuits have been filed. Nene suspects that the reasons she is not getting work is because someone is black balling her. So, she hired Lisa to determine and acquire evidence, facts and information. Nene felt someone was trying blackballing her at Debmar-Mercury, BET Networks, Bravo Media and POP TV. This action caused Nene to be unable to book appearances, series, and specials on those networks.
Despite never filing a lawsuit, Tamara Tattles exclusive source says that Lisa Bloom did uncover a Bravo executive who strongly dislikes Nene Leakes. Bloom feels she has information to prove that executive was instrumental in Nene being absent from multiple episodes last season. Apparently, Nene has beef a this particular executive. And no, it is NOT Andy Cohen. Andy is not an Bravo executive. He is Bravo “talent” with an honorary executive producer credit on all the housewives shows that he brought to the table.
In The End, It Was Nene’s Unprofessionalism That Caused This
The executive in question is someone related to a Nene spinoff that never happened. The executive feels that Nene’s unprofessional behavior that kept the spinoff from happening. Also, the executive had personal and financial consequences for the show not happening. I feel like the executive should be within bounds discussing Nene Leakes trashing a show. But apparently, threats of defamation were made by Nene’s legal team. They sent Radar an case and desist and apparently it has the potential to be a seven figure suit because of “loss of income.” At that point the digital writers who remained after the initial cut due to the Bezos problem were also let go. And Tamara Tattles exclusive source claims that Radar Online is now “defunct.”
The Bravo executive mentioned above, whose Bravo contract was up for renewal, was not renewed a “part of a reduction in force.” But, there is another Nene naysayer. That executive left Bravo for another network. That executive is also not a fan of Nene Leakes. To me, It seems like if multiple people are discussing Nene Leakes alleged lack of professionalism, that is their opinion and common in the entertainment industry. I presume there is a reason that Ryan Murphy chose not to keep Nene in his stable of actors he likes to reuse. There are numerous people currently coming forward to discuss Lea Michele from Glee being horrible to work with. People get black balled in the entertainmenSt industry all the time. Especially now with the “cancel culture.”
The Clock Is Ticking For Nene…
That said, it appears to the critical observer that Nene managed to get an executive at Bravo “non-renewed.” That was allegedly the person she was talking to in her infamous “You will not get away with this!” And the reason she is hell bent on a “pay or play” clause in her contract. So now Nene Leakes feels empowered to demand she get to go over to E! and be an executive producer herself. And she wants to tell RHOA to kiss her ass. She is welcome to tell Bravo to kiss her ass if she wants. But she doesn’t have much more time to make up her mind. There is an all cast meeting on Zoom coming up very soon. We’ll see if she shows up.
So what do you think? Is Radar Online down for the count? Will Nene Leakes accept her contract with a 5% raise in the coming days? Or does she think she can get better treatment at E! who has never paid her anything close to her RHOA salary? A smart person would show up to the RHOA meetings and filmings. But with Nene Leakes… you never know.
