Porsha Williams & Dennis McKinley Tear Gassed At Atlanta Protest

June 3, 2020 by tamaratattles 64 Comments

Porsha Williams ProtestingOn Monday, June 1 Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley were part of a peaceful protest in Atlanta during the hours before the curfew. For no apparent reason, their group was tear gassed with pepper spray and had flash bombs thrown at them. Porsha was about to start a IG recording of the protest when the group was suddenly they were gassed. Porsha left her phone on for the full eight minutes. Somehow, Dennis managed to lose his phone in the melée. How will his other girlfriends call him now?

All of the people in her group were boxed in and surrounded by cops with no way to leave. She said she was going to leave her phone running because she was feeling very unsafe with no way out. Also it looks like she was wearing an orthopedic boot on one of her legs. We can hear Porsha say, “Do y’all see this? We in Atlanta, 7:45, the curfew is not until 9:00, we out here peacefully protesting and they tear gassed us for no reason at all. For absolutely no reason at all. Nobody did anything.”

I have to give Porsha Williams a LOT of respect. The girl is out there making a difference. She is voting. She is encouraging every to vote (we had a primary). While others are posting selfies and other vain things, Porsha Williams is on this situation. She’s won me over.

Wait, NO MORE TACO BELL? Actually I rarely eat fast food. I got tired of my own cooking recently so went through the drive through and ordered like I was ordering groceries. The put everything on top of my Mexican pizza it was all a soft squished mess. Whenever I decide to allow myself fast food, I have such high hopes and it’s never as good as I thought. It’s like when who quit smoking and then have a cigarette and it’s disgusting.

HOW will Katie Maloney EVER SURVIVE without Taco Bell?

I will admit that I most often run for the border on the RARE OCCASION I eat junk food. The second place I RARELY go is Panera. And, we have a place called The Habit that is a small chain that originated in Santa Barbara that has really good burgers (and tempura string beans) for cheaper than fast junk food chains. That is the third place we RARELY go to splurge — it’s easy to do keto there. The corporation that owns Taco Bell recently bought it. THE F’ING trifecta of “not now.”

There is a place where I used to like to buy a 600 calorie Turkey sammich. It’s one of those fancy places like Panera… but I think it might be something else. I also enjoy their 800 calorie large sweet tea. I mean I’ve only ever been there like five times in my life. But I am hoping it is not Panera. It might be, Is there another place sort of like Panera? Because now I suddenly want one of those expensive turkey bacon sandwiches. I used to order extra chipolte mayo… because FATASS. and it came with chips or some other option. AND you get a pickle slice.

Y’all are making me want to eat bad things. I think I am going to go to Publix tomorrow. I am out of wine again and Wine dot com is so much more expensive than Publix. I also need to deposit my government welfare check. I’d much have preferred they just took it off my taxes. I’ve lost my tax form and now have to set up the new laptop to work with the fucking printer and start over. I do have my Schedule Cs though, so that is the hardest part I think. Maybe. I just plan to do my best and send a check. Most years they send me a check for like $12.50 for over payment or this year a bill for almost $3,000. So if they know to the penny what I owe, WHY CAN’T THEY JUST SEND ME A FUCKING BILL? I also need to pay quarterly taxes but I don’t know what they are until I complete the taxes. And now I am behind and I hate being behind. ‘

Sorry Rambling. It’s been a tense day with Banjo but he eventually ate and is sleeping soundly in his crate. Oh he even ate the dog food underneath the rice. He was just being a food snob. lol.

The good news is that now ALL FOUR OFFICERS have been charged in the murder of George Floyd. The other three officers were charged with Aiding and Abetting 2nd degree murder. In addition, the main murderer’s charges were elevated from Murder in the 3rd degree to Murder in the 2nd degree.

I am not sure the elevation of the charges against the main murder is a good thing. I am waiting for someone on the news to explain if the sentencing options are longer for second degree. If there is not a significant increase, say…to life in prison. Then this is actually a bad thing. It sets the bar higher for proving the case with no substantial change in the time served. We shall see.

I was just watching Lester Holt and he said the sentence went from a possible 35 years to 40. Also the other three officers also face a 40 year sentence. Out AG Keith Ellison said basically said it’s going to be an uphill battle to get them convicted.

There was plenty of time to think about the finality of the act without compassion for a fellow human being, nevermind stoic interference as they stood there and let it happen. Actions of lack there of speak louder than words. No one listened to our fellow american ‘s plea for air makes it difficult to entertain a plea deal for those in position to have changed the outcome. All four of them are murderers. They all made conscious choice to NOT save a man’s life who was pleading for his breathes. He shouldn’t have had to beg for help to breath. He shouldn’t have had to know he was dying in this way wanting his Mother.

All 4 of these “police officers” are guilty of murder. The other 3 that didn’t step in to protect and save? Seems like should be 1st degree murder to me.

Good for Porsha. It’s sad that peaceful protests have to result in this type of police response. I don’t care for her on RHOA but I respect her for standing up for the cause.

My son and I marched here in Houston yesterday. It was very peaceful. While marchers were predominately black, people of other races (white mostly) were there with bottled water, snacks, and face masks to help support the cause. That touched my heart that people took to time to help however they could. There were a few people (protesters) complaining about petty things that made no difference in the bigger scheme of things and served no purpose. I quickly moved away from them. I would not allow my vibe to be ruined.

If you march for me? I am peaceful. I will leave at curfew. I honestly would prefer to lay face down, hands cuffed behind my back asking for my mother and the ability to breath.

The “officer”who literally killed Mr. Floyd, murder with intent. He heard George beg for help and without hesitation stayed on his neck. The 3 other “officers” didn’t bat an eyelash, stood by and supported the murder of a restrained suspect who was begging for help. They ALL need to be charged with murder with intent. I think they all thought they could “get away” with their force because THEY CAN!

I know not every cop is a bad cop but 4 in one group, such a petty charge and this was the outcome? THERE IS A PROBLEM!

Okay apologizes in advance, I know people hate the “I don’t see race” thing, but it’s actually a real thing for me, I have a weird facial recognition thing. It’s hard for me to identify races sometimes. So be kind. My question is about the four cops. Is it two white guys, and Asian guy and a black guy? I honestly can’t tell. I think one of the guys looks like a lightskinned black guy and one guy looks Asian to me or … perhaps he has some sort of development delay/ Special needs thing? I’m mostly freaked out because I think one of them might be black. But if he were wouldn’t that be mentioned on the news and I haven’t seen that.

So I braved a trip to the Publix for the essentials today….you know, wine, beer, cigarettes, ice cream a cantaloupe and forty dollars worth kombucha, God I have missed kombucha. It was my first trip out in God knows how long. I still haven’t put everything away yet because it wore me slap out. But the grocery store went as well as can be expected except for the sneezing teenager with no mask. And to two women behind me on line with no masks who refused to social distance.

The really bad thing was I was listening to conservative talk radio on the way home. I was curious as to what they would be talking about today with the George Floyd memorial happening and the protests. IT WAS DISGUSTING. They were spouting probably fake stats like a police is 18 times more likely to be killed by a black man that the the black man is likely to be killed by a cop. Also today there was a preliminary hearing for the Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old black man who was killed for jogging in south Georgia. The guy who was also arrested for videoing the event and not rendering aid stated that 911 was not called until after they killed Ahmaud. And once he was dead they called him the N word.

Also, there was a protest today out in Gwinnett county where Nene and Porsha lived and a guy in a truck with a giant MAGA flag showed up to taunt the protesters and got arrested. The talk show host (not really sure who it was but I think at this time of day it’s the guy who is also a fucking pastor. Were saying the most vile things. Today of all days is not the day be racist, tone deaf assholes….and yet….they were.

Also, Lawn Kid continues to piss me the fuck off. He keeps getting jobs with no way to get there and expecting me to be his chauffeur. For one thing I am not getting in a car with ANYONE for ANY REASON during this pandemic. And I am not paying for him to take an Uber every time. I did that ONCE so he could get there on his first day. He’s got to figure something out. I’ve spent over $300 on him this month. And in exchange he is supposed to do my yard. Now today he wanted to come over and do yardwork for money to get to work. He is constantly bugging me and I feel like I have to hide in my own house.
