How are we going to get through a summer without Big Brother?  I honestly don’t know how I am going to deal with no Big Brother.  But Josh, Kaylee and someone else.. sorry forgetting someone are on The Challenge. I rarely get to watch it but I am bingeing it today. SO GOOD. And Jay from Survivor is killing it.  Oh it is Swaggy C and his girlfriend. You need to watch The Challenge on MTV.  I’m just saying. It’s like Big Brother only not. It is MUST SEE TV. Just don’t spoil me because I am very far behind.

So sad. Reading this news this morning confirms why I hate Mothers Day!
Amazon Prime has most of the old seasons of The Challenge, and most you have to pay for but some are free. I have been binge watching those because I don’t remember what happened because it was so long ago!

The fate of BB22 seems to be mysterious at this point with no comment from Grodner. BB isn’t listed on the scheduled shows nor is it listed on the canceled shows. Are they going to revise it somehow, show it later, bag it all together? Odds are it’s a no go this summer which is a shame because it could have been epic ratings with so many staying home instead of vacationing. I’m praying but in sort of a mourning at the same time, how boring will the summer be without our guilty pleasure of BB.

I am 40 years old and The Challenge is the show I look forward to most all week. Love seeing the old school players that I watched in my 20s. Fired Spectrum so I had to pay $20 for this season on Amazon Prime but it’s so worth it.

I’m pretty sure I saw BB, Survivor and Amazing Race were suspended pretty early on in this mess so it’s no surprise.

The Challenge is so addictive! I binged quote a few seasons a few years back so now I can binge the ones that have aired since, yea! ?

Second season of Dead to Me just dropped on Netflix so that’s also on my list.

I still have one season of Australian Survivor left to watch and I think that’s going to be next. I’m going to be sad when that’s done.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms on here ?

I was shocked how well Josh has done on the Challenge. I say that because he is an emotional guy. But he has performed really well on the past few seasons he has been on. But Wes really gave it to him last week! Did you know Wes, Bayley, and Swaggy are all self isolating together in Kansas City? Along with Wes’s wife of course and some other Challenge people.

I had hope, because you would think Big Brother would be an easy one to pull off in Quarantine. I personally don’t think they have much of an excuse not to move forward with it. Why can’t they just Quarantine their people 2 weeks in advance. Basically they’re just Quarantining them again. I guess it’s probably Grodner who doesn’t want to live like that (either not seeing her family or not being around BB (she’d have to choose one). I have a very hard time believing that they can’t find willing camera men, etc. If they have to tone down some of the competitions, then so be it. They can do most of the editing remotely like so many are already doing. The next two years are gonna be like one extremely long December as far as our TV shows go. As someone who literally lives for her TV shows, I see some hard times ahead for me. This is really depressing.

I wonder if the people who COULD be quarantined making Big Brother would rather spend time Zooming or Facebooking or social/physical distancing with their loved ones. For some, the odds are, it could be the last opportunity to do so. Would you want to look back and ask yourself which meant more — being stuck in a place with some good people and mostly assholes, or spending time, in whatever way, with people you love?

I think we would all answer the same way.

I’m not sure I understand your comment (I can’t tell if you’re agreeing or disagreeing, etc. Lol), but like I said, I’m sure they can find people who would LOVE to have the job for a few months. People live across the country (and world) from their families all the time for all sorts of reasons, and only interact face to face with them via technology.

          P. S. I reread your comment. Obviously you were disagreeing. We most definitely do not see this the same way. I don’t see how if everyone is still isolating why it is any different. The countrt is starting to open back up. They’re probably safer isolating in the BB house than our in the world. As far as a loved one getting sick… you can’t be with them anyway. You can’t even go see them in the hospital. You would obviously leave if something like that happened, just as they have any time someone died while the person was in the BB house.

Aren’t the people on BB not allowed to talk with anyone outside? You are right, there WOULD BE SOME PEOPLE who would relish getting paid to quarantine. But if you can’t even talk to anyone outside … I would be scared the whole time when we got out that it would be a Zombie Apocalypse.

I think they are more worried about the production crew. What they could do is sequester everyone working on the show for the whole time. From the people who make the game props to the people who work in the control room. Then also they would have to take extra measures on bringing food in. It could be done, but are people willing to stay away from their families for a couple of months is the question.

For people who are sad about missing their favorite shows … we all are doing our best to get through this intact. First, right now, we need to SURVIVE. Not just physically, the mental part too. If that means smoking more, drinking more, eating more, watching more TV … WHATEVER … just survive. We can fix everything later. But first, SURVIVE.

If we’re here, reading TT is part of our survival kit. If we run out of shows, or concurrently, maybe we could have some games — scavenger (hidden idol) hunt. Or what we in knitting circles call a KAL, aka knit-a-long, where we all knit the same thing or themed things and post photos. PRIZES! It sounds weird, maybe boring, but it connects us.

I propose a WAL — a Watch-a-Long. Killing Eve would be my first choice because it is NOT Reality, which changes. And if you have seen it, likely you will see things you didn’t see before. Go back, watch Season 1, Episode 1 and then read the recap in the archives and comment. And so on. A way of staying together, apart. We kind of do it already, but this one is fiction, so there won’t be negativity toward people we hate … (moose tracks here) … and we stay positive. Yes, there is killing, but it is fiction. And somehow funny.

Have you googled “Killing Eve Fashion” yet? Lots of online features from lots of magazines. Not as many recaps; I checked yesterday. As Tamara says, it requires a lot more brain power than recapping a reality show. Eve merits the kind of writing that print TV critics USED to get paid A LOT of money to do. Makes me appreciate TT all the more.

3 Robes, especially the blue one with the tiger print. sold out online and very expensive looking for the print and I will have a little winter project.

I feel the same! Big Brother is so much more than a TV show when you watch feeds. We have a whole cyber community of friends we get together with every summer to watch and talk (bitch) about all the HG’s. I will dearly miss this if we can’t get at least a few weeks of BB.

I know! This is when we all come together and talk, bond and fight over the HG’s online. I think TT’s site is the best for BB. I mostly watch late at night when all the drama goes down. I watch the feeds on my TV. I have had times when i am falling asleep listening to something unfold, so i wake back up, turn on my laptop, just to report that there is something going on in the house.

Last summer was so much fun here. I like it when we get a bit silly here. The rules are a bit lifted from TT on the BB threads, she just doesn’t like it if we go on and on and on about something that’s not really important during feeds, but she tells us, well, yells at us about it, in her funny way 🙂

I’m hoping the fact BB has all ready been renewed and that CBS didn’t mention BB at all plus we haven’t heard from Grodner is a positive sign. It’s clear they won’t begin the end of June as usual but maybe they will shorten the season, do it later or do an online version. A little BB is better than no BB. Fingers still crossed.

It does last for hours and hours though but it’s like a whole season of Big Brother in one night. If you are a Patreon you can even play in one.
