I am trying to save whatever life this laptop has today, so I will be on infrequently. But I just had to share this photo with you. How is everyone holding up today? I have too much anxiety to buy a laptop and then have to go pick it up in a parking lot or however things work these days. I’m watching ManHunt a Spectrum original miniseries about the bombing at the Atlanta Olympics. It’s surprisingly good.

    Big Ed!

Just order a new laptop and have them ship it to you. Then you don’t have to go pick it up. That’s how I’ve gotten my last couple laptops. Shipping is usually free.

I also got my bills paid online. That was giving me a lot of anxiety too. So feeling a little better now.

On the Pennsylvania liquor front our asshole governor is going to let a select few stores open. But not really. We have to call to place the order and then pick up. What could possibly go wrong? I see many of us hitting redial for hours on end to no avail. JUST OPEN THE FUCKING STORES YOU STUPID PRICK!!!

I read that cops were going after people with PA plates who cross the state line for booze. We’re still able to go to a brewery in the Catskills and do a tasting before we load up the growlers. I love NY where liquor is essential.

Liquor is essential in VA too; the liquor stores are open. Restaurants are even allowed to sell beer, wine, and liquor for takeout and delivery right now!

I have had three Macs since 1994. They all work/worked perfectly. The only reason I had to replace two of them was because the internet browsers wouldn’t run on them anymore. That is about to happen with my newest from 2011. I’ve never had to reload anything. My second-hand iPad got tweaky recently. Because the apps keep taking up more space. I ordered a new one on QVC (you can get it now, pay later). Then I will clean install my old one and give it to The FiancĆ©e. Hers from 2013 still works too. But mine has more storage and her screen is broken.

But ā€œsmallā€ groups are meeting. They think God will protect them. The only reason they insist on doing it LIVE F2F instead of a live podcast is because they want CASH, They don’t want donations via PayPal or other wire services because … ELECTRONIC TRAIL. They want that cold, hard cash so no one can track it. Hmmm… what a way to launder money … Churches are BIG BUSINESS. Time for them to pay taxes.

I grew up Roman Catholic, and am now quite the heretic. However, I think people who find solace and joy in being part of an organized religion: more power to ’em. But, I never understand this God will protect me stuff. Why do they think God will protect me means I can do any dumb shit I want, and be OK, and not God gave me the good sense to take care of myself and I ought to use it is how God is protecting me?

Also, hello everyone, I hope you are all using the good sense God gave you and doing your best to take care of yourselves. And, I hope you know you are precious and special, and some lady in cyberspace cares about your well being. Much virtual hugs to you all.

I keep reading the variations of the story of the man who was warned that floods were eminent, but there was time to evacuate. The man stayed saying he had faith, would pray, and God would save him. As the floods came, someone in a canoe came, and yelled, get in! He refused again, citing God would saving him. A motor boat and a helicopter each came in turn as he had to climb to his roof, all refused saying that God would save him.

Drowned, got to the Pearly Gates, and asked God “Why did you not save me?” God said “I sent you a warning, a canoe, a motor boat, and a helicopter! What more did you want!”

Growing up Catholic… don’t you just love how we can sin away and wipe it all out with a ā€œgoodā€ Act of Contrition? I used to time myself on how fast I could say it in case I got kidnapped. Two days before my hysterectomy, I went to Confession. I told the priest there were some things I thought may have been unwise, but not sinful — sex without marriage. I got 10 Hail Marys and one Our Father. I asked ā€œTwenty-five years of righteous sinning — are you SURE that’s enough?ā€ He said God judges your heart and yours is good. I didn’t die on the table and haven’t gone to Confession since.

I use to go to confession and lie between the ages of 9 and 13 as I had not committed any sins, except the lies I told the priest in confession so technically that was a sin.

I have not been to confession for many years but I can still remember ” Act of Contrition”

I did once tell a priest a nun joke which he found funny

A car full of Irish nuns is sitting at a traffic light in downtown Dublin, when a bunch of rowdy drunks pull up alongside of them.

“Hey, show us yer tits, ya bloody penguins!” shouts one of the drunks.

Quite shocked, Mother Superior turns to Sister Mary Immaculata and says, “I don’t think they know who we are; show them your cross.”

Sister Mary Immaculata rolls down her window and shouts, “Piss off, ya fookin’ little wankers, before I come over there and rip yer balls off!”

Sister Mary Immaculata then rolls up her window, looks back at Mother Superior, quite innocently, and asks, “Did that sound cross enough?

I kinda think it’s Randall too based on the apparent age of the photo, he does look a lot like Sandoval too! I don’t (or should I say haven’t watched, lord only knows what I’ll watch in the coming months, no judgment just truth) the Fiance programs but always read the recaps and comments until just a bit ago.

We are still virus free in our building. A God damn miracle at this point. Staff have been sidelined, a lot of close contact, one employee positive but she was already isolating for a week before testing. Way more scary shit but I believe in what we’re doing will continue to work. Isolation set up and ready. I’ve volunteered to take care of any Covid patients should the need arise.

Honestly I haven’t kept up here as much as I’d like to but I’m more focused on news, education and my day to day survival. I will say we have a zoom meeting every Wednesday with family (they’re all safe…) and that helps me a lot . I’m so glad to read you’re all doing well too. Please stay safe everyone.

I have only just watched last weeks 90 Day Finance. There are some really creepy people going outside America on this series.

Usman could do so much better than Lisa. She is nasty in every way from what I have seen. Same with Rose, her dad giving his blessing shows the level of poverty they must be living in for him to let Ed take her away.

A couple of the storyline’s this series seem completely made up.

Also…. Sister Wives…. the season ended really abruptly!!!!

Thinking about you all in the US. I’m meant to be in Akron, OH with my cousin this week. I feel like the whole world has some kind of depression and/or anxiety. I’m trying to stay away from alcohol but it’s tough.

I was going to suggest this as well. A memorial service/gathering when it is possible again. I am so sorry for your loss, and understand your frustration with not being able to be with your Aunt and cousins. I believe, at this time, our loved ones who pass away would want us to keep ourselves safe in lieu of traditional grieving. Grief is going to happen and evolve with or without the rituals. Really, it is OK ,just different than we are used to doing,

RHOBH may be interesting, as no LVP.

I will check it out when I get home to Spain as I have no TV in Gibraltar.

Spain will be publishing an up date tomorrow in regard to Lockdown, seems they are going to let kids outside after 6 weeks for some fresh air up to the age of 12..positive baby steps.

They are preparing rules and regulations this week, they have confirmed schools will re-open in September and tourists may be allowed back sometime between Oct – Dec. ( this might also includes flights to Spain )

Things seem to be looking up here in California. But THANK GOD Gov. Looking at Singapore’s numbers, it seems that just when they thought it was safe … it wasn’t.

Thanks for the recommend! It is on my list. I have LITERALLY created a Google Spreadsheet of shit to watch and where to find it because my parents and I waste an hour in “What do you want to watch?” “I don’t care, something interesting” “Well I don’t care, comedy or action?” “I don’t care, you pick” “I don’t know what is available, you do” “Ok, lets watch _____” “Nah, I’m not in the mood for that”. Goes on until we end up watching Life Below Zero, House Hunters International, or Big Bang Reruns. LOL.
